We were at this Stones show as guests of MTV (my client). The audience was about 1000 fans. They had an open bar and car-hops serving burgers. We were sitting in front of Bette Midler, Jan Wenner and the Governor of NY. The concert was an hour long, broadcast live on MTV 'Live at the Ten Spot" and had a rousing 20' rendition of Brown Sugar after the live feed ended. A freakin' incredible night!!
I just learned this song with the guitar. As a drug addict in recovery I can tell you that, is very emotional to play it. Many times I thought I was gonna´be dead in the morning and asked my friends to stay around, it´s tough to listen to this song.
Such an alluring lullaby, this,a resonating tale. A trance like spell from Keith's guitar, and wow can Jagger wail. Here heavy words so lightly thrown, lay on us like silk sheets. With heart and soul these Stones have rolled, I'm sold on every beat!
"In those moments i just wanted morphine, cos was the only thing could hold my pain"... my friend told me this six years ago, and he passed away five years ago. Now I listen this song always thinkin about him...
I also used morphine for severe pain for years. I used codeine for many, many, years. This "Never was a problem". When Florida kinda out-lawed it and my health plain wouldn't cover the cost I had to turn to morphine ! Very bad move for "me". with the "Codeine" I was good, No Problems at all ! With over three almost four years of Morphine this was a nightmare ! Not on, but getting off ! It took more than a month to get right. "NEVER AGAIN". I now take "TRAMADOL HCL 50mg twice a day. With No problems again. I'm 70 years old and Morphine was / would have been the death of me. Sorry 'bought yer friend, many have gone before. Tom DB, FL.
❤👍 I'VE BEEN A ROLLING STONES FAN FOR MANY YEARS. IT WAS A GREAT CONCERT. TOP BAND, TOP MUSIC, TOP VIDEO. THERE WAS THE GOOD TIMES WITH R.S. GREETINGS FROM BULGARIA 🇧🇬
Another amazing stones tune👍. Long ago now since I was shot up with morphine when the ambulance came and I was like “f**k where have you been my whole life.” Had it numerous times since with accidents and in hospital and o’h man bring it on……….
i love this song. on a winters night ill just sit there in the living room looking at the stillness of the winter at 1 a.m. in the morning and this song goes so good with it for some beautiful peaceful reason!
What's to be argued! THE GREATIST ROCK& ROLL BAND THIS PLANET WILL EVER HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF LISTENING TO. MAY YOU LIVE IN THE DISTANCE OF TIME FOREVER
Mick is the Master. He can push Evereything to the Edge, and some how grab Kieth and Ronnie at the last moment, And come back and make a Train wreck become "Ledgindary"!
stay strong . i am clean now for 17 years, but my husband lost his life . He died after a overdose heroin in combiation with dianzepam before 9 month. We was together for 39 years. I missed hin so much . Fuck the drugs .
I was in the front row leaning on the stage - what an experience - one of those lucky days- and again saw the Big Bang Tour and planning on Row 1 for the Pru Center Show
My favorite stones song...mainly because the first time i heard it was the first concert I went to....three days after this was filmed...october 28 1997 bridges to babylon tour....my first of 3 stones concerts. At 10 years old at that time....this was the only song in the set i did not know (was obsessed with them at a very young age) so needless to say this song will always remind me of that night. SO AWESOME to find this vid so close to that time!! thank you!!!
👍 MY FAVORITE SINGERS AND SONG. THIS SONG IS TOP FOR ME. THE ROLLING STONES IS THE GREATEST ROCK BAND ON EARTH. THERE WAS THE GOOD TIMES. GREETINGS FROM BULGARIA 🇧🇬
A great live version, with everyone (including Keith) in top form. Also kinda nice to see them on a small stage, where they actually look like a 'band", instead of standing / playing 50+ feet apart from each other!
It was Ry Cooder who saved The Rolling Stones' career. When they first recorded this song Ry played guitar while Brian Jones sat in the corner watching and crying, according to Ry.
Aslamo Alikum, peace and blessings of God be upon all of you. We are all brothers and sisters and children of one man Adam and one woman Eve. The beautiful girls and guys in videos are nothing but our beloved sisters and brothers. May God forgive them and all our brothers and sisters around the world. May God unite all of us in His love and mercy and in His obedience. If we will be thankful to God and obey Him, this world will become a paradise. And on Day of Judgment, God will give us even a bigger paradise so beautiful and lovely that we cannot imagine where all of us will live in joy and pleasure forever. Please never forget to say many thanks to God and praise Him all your days and nights and ask for His forgiveness all the time. Ameen. Jazak Allah. :)
i had just listened to marianne singing this....love it totally! she sounds much better than in the 60s n 70s...i don't really care about what went on between mick n her back then, it's pretty distressing to read some of the comments posted on what mick did and blah blah. they are far better to listen to than what the music industry is churning out these days...long live the stones, rolling forever, and marianne faithfull!
imagine leaving a tv on for hours, the sound is full of hisses and pops. Then realize that you have been just surfing to nowhere special on the net all that time.. then realize that you wont be creating a song like this one.. and you realize that the blues of morphine and other similars, is just blues without end
1 van de beste nummers ooit die ze hebben gemaakt in die tijd alleen jammer dat ze hem niet zo vaak live spelen,ja in 1998 dacht ik in de Amsterdam Arena maar daar was het geluid toen zwaar k . .
Criminally underrated stones song
It's not fully their song, They did write the music but you can thank Marianne Faithful for the lyrics. 1969..
@@paullevine1813 i agree dude
@@paullevine1813 Keith said that Marianne was writting few lines and Jagger wrote most of the lyrics.
You are more than 50 years too late, thats why

far ouT!
Lucky!
I saw them in Cirkus in Stockholm,2003,it was 1900 people there. Roxette,ABBA ....
Maybe the reason why this version is a little to clean and quiet, of course better to forget Ry Cooder on the original.
Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones. So much talent. No wonder they're still around and still strong as ever. Thanks for posting.
Selling out 40,000 plus stadiums for no album and still making music!
Why not just the Rolling Stones, Jagger is one member of the whole band.
Cause it's Jagger :)
I just learned this song with the guitar. As a drug addict in recovery I can tell you that, is very emotional to play it. Many times I thought I was gonna´be dead in the morning and asked my friends to stay around, it´s tough to listen to this song.
My first concert was in the Baltimore civic center 1966 James brown and the rolling stones wow !!!! Take me back mr peabody

James Bridgewood
Very Slick!
Nonostante tutto sono ancora qua !!! Sound struggente . Mick sempre eccezionale !!! Band mitica !!!
You can see why this band has lasted so long -- easy pace and a perpetual return to the well of the blues.
Amazing how one of their best songs ever has only been performed once
wrong
Danjoker the darkest Stones song ever in my opinion.
Stickyfingers
@Johnny Dollar Let it loose
Brussell 73 and some others live versions.

Jagger does his singing the best standing still, even though he obviously is known for jumpin and pointing fingers.
You are so right.
Yeah, 11 years clean, but still my favourite Stones song, and definitely the album version is one of my Favourite slide guitar tracks
Music is an art. There is no better or best. Those are merely opinions
Few times I saw the Stones in low capacity, good acoustics were superb. Like here a few years earlier, think 1973, have concert booklet.
Classic Stones
One of the best songs of RS
