  • Cécile Chaminade wrote one of the few late nineteenth-century French piano sonatas--a stunning work, it deserves to be far better known. This is a live performance (warts and all) from Grusin Auditorium at the University of Colorado Boulder.

    Thanks for introducing us to a neglected piece. Loved the fugue in the first movement. Many years ago, I played another piece by her, but the sonata was new to me.
