I am extremely confused as to some of these comments. Her technique and tone is incredible. Her tonguing isn’t perfect, but it’s very accurate. Very very well done

I'm working on this piece right now and this is the only version I will listen to. Absolutely flawless and elegant.
That's nice. But you should always listen to different renditions of everything. That's one of the ways you grow as a musician.
@@rudolphmcneill515 I do agree with you but I did listen to other recordings. This was the only recording that helped me prepare well for the Concertino. She was expressive and clean the entire time. Her interpretation of the cadenza was outstanding as well. By far my favorite recording of the Concertino.

Beautiful performance!! Gorgeous tone in all registers, smooth and precise technique, even on the fastest runs and middle triplets. No showing off here, just the music in all its glory!
I was always taught that it wasn't about the musician, it was about the music and the composer. The musician is merely a channel so that other people can hear the music as it should be played. That's hard to do on the flute. There are a lot of egotists who are flute players, and it's hard for them to take a step back from the spotlight and let the music shine brilliantly instead . But it's better that way! I loved it!

I got teary keyed throughout the entire piece, but at 7:09 - the tears just flowed. Omg!!! After the ever-most softest, eloquent and elegant trill, both flute and piano meet again with the utmost respect and a single, quiet, gentle note. I wonder if this is how God speaks to us? Literally. In that moment I felt perfect beauty.
The pianist had such restraint and the flute, without tire, but respect too, showed equal restraint. What a wonderful piece. I realize this is an old clip, but thank you for sharing. I wish I could play that well. ❤ It was beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful! I'm playing this for my solo for my first year of high school, and so far this is one of the best versions I've heard so far!
I do not agree. Her fingers are sluggish. She raises them far to high during fast passages. Her sound is dead too at piano parts. Not enough breath put through and breath controll I guess.
Jasmine Choi or Emanuel Pahud are more recommendable.

Interesting how she did that C# trill one way and then changed the fingering in mid trill. What's more I'm not hearing the crescendos and decrescendos in the places I'm used to hearing and in the version I'm playing BUT let me be clear. She is very good and does a great job.
if you finger C# with the true fingering for the first portion of the trill, it masks some of the trill-fingering sound--they hear the true fingering instead.
