Great instructional video ..as always! Would like to see you install an extended safety as well, something I would consider essential on this model. The full size S2 comes with one which is nice and an $89 value.
Thank you! The safety is a drop-in direct replacement though - You would only have to fit it in case you've changed your hammer to after-market one and you decided to keep the stock sear... Then you would have to fit either the safety itself or the sear (I like the latter as it's a less expensive part and easier to find in stock everywhere).
It's not necessarily done for competition only, although most people who do it are likely into competitive practical shooting. If you consider that by having a lighter/shorter trigger the risk of AD goes up, then you would have to assume that the risk is higher. However accidental discharges happen due to a flaw in shooting fundamentals - If your fundamentals are solid, then no, the risk is not any greater than before any upgrade/tuning done to the gun - Unless, of course, something is done wrongly and makes the gun fire without somebody pressing the trigger - but that's a whole different scenario, and the reason one should only do this type of thing when they absolutely know what they are doing.
Can you do a comparison a regular P-07 Omega, P-09 Omega vs P-07 'compact' nocturne? Still all the same and just the OR cut added or did they have to change more to make it work? Other improvements?
Is the trigger bar supposed to rest directly on top of each side of the trigger bar support spring, or is each side of the trigger bar support spring supposed to come up through the inside of the trigger bar a little bit?
@rdb3823 I'm not a fan of heavily modifying EDC guns. Having said that, if you will do it anyway, I would carry it with the hammer half cocked and safety on.
Hi , I installed the pro package on my shadow 2. At first everything was fine. But me being stupid, I started messing with the pre travel screw and the other one! Now, my hammer won’t stay cocked. The double action works but the single action doesn’t work. I tried loosing the pre and post travel screws and nothing smh! Please help me. I even shot the gun prior to doing this and everything was fine
What do I do if the trigger shoe is really tight on the trigger bar? Even the pin is needs a tiny bit of force to get in to hold the trigger shoe and bar together.
Has anyone had a problem with a shadow 2 failing to extract a spent casing? I have had my shadow 2 for about seven months now and it has failed to extract probably about 15 times. Someone from my local USPSA club said it is probably me not keeping my wrists tight but I have never had so many failures with my 9mm Taurus or Sig Sauer.
Because of his accent, I couldn’t figure out what he said the longer trigger set screw adjusts. Anyone? I think he said the shorter set screw adjust pre-travel??
Thank you for making these videos. They are, by far, the best I have found for working on the Shadow 2!!
@SomeGuy-b4p thank you!
Great trick about the disconnector „fitting check“ 😀 Your videos are really great!
Just in time! I just ordered this package! Thank you!
Good luck!
Good luck with the hammer pins
@@czarmorergreat video. What is the oil you used to lubricate?
@@pubdefendr full synthetic motor oil 😄😄
Cool trick for checking if the disco needs to be fitted… I just hit really good at taking my gun apart and putting back together😂

Glad it was helpful!

Having some hard time to find this kit to buy... any recommendations? (US)
Really 😎cool. This is something that one would only do for competition?
Doesn't it make the dangers of accidental discharge go up?

I don't have those guns :(

Directly on top of it.
@czarmorer im planning on upgradeing my s2c to this setup how would you suggest to carry it safely? thanks

You have to find out why it's tight. Is the trigger shoe bent somehow that it's squeezing the trigger bar? If that's the case then it's an easy fix.

Been having some failure to extract with my brand new shadow 2. Got around 1,000 rounds thru it. Kinda dissapointed
@MachineGunner29 I got a video on the channel just about troubleshooting these things. Take a look as it may help you.
Can I just send you my shadows for now on 😮
Sure! I'm a FFL and can work on your shadow for you :).

@jeffgee6319 shorter on the top does pre-travel, longer on the bottom does over-travel.
