Yes please teach your magic Drake! Oxidation removal on gel coats. I have a lot of boats and alot of campers around me so I use your videos a lot to help my confidence in scoring jobs.
Awesome Video Drake! I follow the same steps you took in your video when I am washing campers for clients here in Virginia. For a camper your size it will probably take you a solid 8-10hrs to complete an oxidation removal and wax from my experience. I sometimes break those jobs up in to two days, just a suggestion. Anyways, thanks for another phenomenal video brother and yes we want to see a video of you removing the oxidation from your camper lol. Thanks, Joe
Im sure you already know dryer sheets work great for removing bug guts from the cap. I detail rvs in south florida. You have taught me tons. The magic eraser and purple power for cleaning decals came from you. Nice rig.
Excellent video (as usual). I’ve been doing RV’s in Tampa for 20 years and still picked up 2 good ideas. Hope you and your family are well. Roberts Detailing.
In for the RV content. Your test spot looked great and I would like to see the steps you took to get there. You do have to let the people know that RV gel coat is much different than boats imo
I use a foam cannon for everything I wash in my pressure washing business. There’s a Facebook group about pressure washing that I’m in, and i started an all out WAR when I posted my foam cannon. My first experience getting bullied online 😂.
What’s up fellow Californian? I only say that cuz the 530 area code you posted on the description. Am down next to the Tijuana border SD 619. Nice work 🤙🏻🏝️☀️
Really am enjoying and learning a lot from your videos! I live in Pensacola and am getting ready to remove oxidation from my 38 foot fifth wheel toy hauler. I would definitely appreciate a video on how to correct gel coated campers! I know you have a local company just down the road from me. If you want to follow a DIY project just let me know and I'll use all your recommended tools and products and show the results. Many thanks. You rock!
Hey Man! I use Starke Yacht Care’s line of Compounds, Polishes, and Sealants! As for tools- I use a Makita rotary polisher for heavy correction, then for swirl removing/polishing I use a Rupes Millie forced rotation polisher. For just sealing (waxing) boats I use the Maxxshine DA polisher. All great products/tools! Here’s a link to my website where you can purchase them! Hope this helps! 😎 drakesmarinedetailsupply.com/
Great video, 👍 I do 20 RVs in SW Florida, everything you said is spot on. There are cleaners for rubberized roofs that allow for a full cleaning and if you get a water Ionizer for you hose it will help reduce water spotting! Love you vids, said you moved from Florida. Would have loved to meet up and pic your brain.
@dkrise6738 Hi buddy, I'm in W. Georgia. I need to know some cleaning tips & which soap to use running through a foam cannon. Pricing as well, I have people wanting me to wash these RV's. Thx
Awesome video. Thanks for the info. Looking to add trailers to my services, but haven’t done one yet. Would love to see an oxidation removal fore sure!
Awesome video. Thanks for the info. Looking to add trailer details to my services, but haven’t tried one yet. Would definitely like to see an oxidation removal video!
Below the window up in the front bedroom looks like it maybe leaking water I thought I seen some delamination below that window or may have been a glare
Not if you are only doing it once in a blue moon in order to decontaminate for a good and professional detailing. But yes, if uses frequently Dawn dish soap can do damage to the finish as well as rubber overtime. Just like anything, don’t go too crazy and everything in moderation. Once in a while won’t hurt it 😎
I follow the same steps. Good video. I have a customer that bought a trailer that the previous owner used ZEP floor polish or Acurlic to provide a shine to the outside of the trailer. In the arizona sun. No one has washed it in 3 yrs or a really good wash. Now there is streaking from the stuff they put on and its turning a light brown. Just wondering your thoughts on this and have you dealt with it yet?
Unfortunately I have never encountered that. I’d maybe try some purple power or a similar degreaser to start to remove the floor polish from the trailer. Is it painted or gel coated?
What would you charge for a top, sides, front, back, awning and clean compartments wash and apply a polymer sealant all the way around on a camper like that?
Atleast he tries to answer almost every comment. He commented on someone else's question 15 dollars a foot for this job and 20 dollars a foot per step when adding stuff like polishing and interior carpets. I think everything in this vid is just one step though. You may have gotten your answer already, but if not hope this helps and I hope I didn't put words in his mouth. Should but you in the ballpark though.
You pretty much just crank it out, then you can scrub them with a brush on a ladder with a mild or heavy detergent (depending on your fabric type) and then I usually seal up all canvas with 303 fabric gaurd. Then you should be good to go! 😎
@@DrakesDetailing Hi hey, as a side note.. you don't know me. How ever, I wanted to to tell you. Very proud of you and persuing your faith.. Biggest reason I trust you and am confident that if I listen to your tips and techniques. I believe I can get my portable detailing off the ground. Thank you
2nd Driving back home from Costco Interesting doing a camper Question, wouldn't it be better to remove the carpet that was outside while washing the camper because of all the water it will have? Nice the kids were having fun! And yes, you are famous!👍👌 Yes, more videos campers, boats, cars!👌👍
I wouldn't use a pressure washer for anything other than awnings on an RV. Low power ones like you have aren't good for cleaning or you wouldn't need to scrub things. They aren't good for rinsing because of their low flow rate so you can rinse much faster with a garden hose. High power ones that can actually clean without much scrubbing damage surfaces on RVs so they're best left to things with finishes you don't care much about.
Looking forward to the oxidation correction video. 💪🏼
Coming soon!
+1 for restore video. Sorry Drake lol

What is a good compound to use for oxidation

I will if I get a another Camper to do ha ha
Like I said I have never detailed an RV but I'm trying to learn because I'll be doing some soon.
Nice! Good luck! 😎🔥
If you are going to do RVs a lot you might consider a leaf blower with an extended tube for the drying.
I have a small blower for drying boats off, it works great! I’ll have to use it on an RV if I get one again in the future!
Please do a video of how to polish super oxidized trailer.
It shall be up soon!! A few weeks soon
I’d like to see if the gel coat renewal is the same as for boats
I will definitely do a video if I ever do a camper again!
Could definitely benefit from a
correction/wax video on campers!

I think it would be great if you could do RV cleaning polishing oxidization removal. Please do make a video

In auto detailing circles I have seen people report that Don degrades rubber and plastic. Would this be bad for the seals you were talking about?

Hey man, I actually sold it. But if I get another camper to detail I’ll definitely do a video on it!
Lovin the beard man
What dilution did you use for the super clean for the mold?
I used water to dilute it , no set ratio. You just gotta go by judgement
Did you ever do the restoration
Not an actual RV, but I do lots of boat restoration
What would you charge for a top, sides, front, back, awning and clean compartments wash and apply a polymer sealant all the way around on a camper like that?
I would charge $20 per foot per step of detailing that I am doing
What do you charge per foot to wash and then wash and wax a camper?
