Dana’s middle finger to Disney for cancelling the show, by having as much lumity content as we can get, and I’m here for that.

I don't see how Lumity is a middle finger. Love should be for love's sake, not spite. And Dana herself said TOH wasn't cancelled of LGBT representation, so more Lumity would mean nothing.
Normally I’d be inclined to agree but I realized that this scene would’ve needed to get past Disney’s censors before getting on the air, someone approved of it.
And the award for "Most Toxic Mom" once again goes to Odalia Blight! Otoh, it's nice to know Amity gets her "Tomato Face" from her Dad.
To be fair, when Amity said "Stay Away from my girlfriend" Obalia said "We'll find you a new GIRLFRIEND" so atleast she isn't homophobic

My first realization was that Hunter stuck his tongue out when Kiki came to grab him and I was like ‘Uh…Hunter is too traumatized to react like that if he thought he was about to be taken to Belos’ then seeing Luz move fast I was like ‘Ohhhh…that’s what happened.’

What I mean is after watching the kiss scene; I thought "I sense a great surge in the Fandom...it's as if a million Lumity Shippers suddenly cried out in victory...and then suddenly lost their collective shit"

A cool little detail in this episode:
if you rewatch the Odalia and Kikimora fight there's a bunch of little hints showing there's an illusion. "Luz" uses Hunter's magic to save Willow and you can see Gus using his spell in the background.
I remember thinking Luz's fast movement to save Willow was unusual, and Hunter blowing a raspberry at Kikimora seemed out of character.
another thing is "Hunter" teasing Kiki. That's not really a thing he does but is such a Luz thing to do

When Amity says “she’s being taken to Belos..” you can hear the actual fear in her voice… I’m so worried for those two. But I’m also glad that Odalia isn’t homophobic. When she found out about lumity, she simply went “I’ll find you a NEW GIRLFRIEND. One that isn’t on wanted posters.”

There's a neat hint to Luz and Hunter switching places, in one shot "she" uses the golden zoomy magic.
What I wanna know is what did Odalia think was going to happen to her and Alador? Because I don't think Belos could make sigil exceptions even if he wanted to, so either she's dumb or was fine dying and insured that the kids would survive and thrive, fucked up "motherly" thinking.
Kikimora holding 'Hunter' in front of Willow's OP magic attacks reminds me so much of S1 Lillith holding bubbled Luz in front of Eda in their final duel.
I’m pretty sure the entire fandoms hearts just collectively burst with joy!
This was one of my top 10 favorite episodes for 2 reasons: 1). Luz and Amity share their first official onscreen kiss (Thank you Dana/Take that Disney!) and 2). Alador and the rest of the Blights stand up to and disown Odalia for taking part in the Day of Unity, despite her *knowing* what it really was about.
Last I heard from Dana, Disney didn't cancel the show for its LGBT representation, so yes I believe Disney will take that. They're going to take it and earn all the gay people's money.
Odalia about 20 years ago: So, listen Alador. My family is rich and can give you the funds to make your dream of creating abomatons come true. All you have to do is act like we're married and have kids with me so I can make a reputation of respect out of us.
Alador: And why would I do that?
Odalia: Because you love me
Alador: Well... okay.

I love what luz is doing with her palisman the whole "I got to choose what person I want to be so I want them to have that choice as well" was cute and wholesome . There is hints that luz's palisman will be a snake as eda's staff is in the logo and there is an upside down staff above the S that looks like a snake. I van see it being a cadeceus staff (a winged snake) or some sort of chimera

My favorite thing about the illusion swap is once you realize it and look through those scenes, you can clearly tell they are disguised as each other. Even disguised as Luz, Hunter's expressions are very Him, very iconic in how he emotes and shows concern. Meanwhile even disguised as Hunter, you can tell its Luz due to being a lot more silly and cocky. And then of course the dash thing Hunter does at the start of the swap.
This is the greatest “fuck you” that Dana has ever given to disney.
Also that animation during the Kiss, oh my god, I dunno if it was intentional or not, but man do I Iove it!

Well here’s the kiss heard round the world
The Collector does not want love. The fact that he is helping Belos with the draining spell, knowing very well what will happen as seen in episode Hollow mind and that he also goes by the name Grand Huntsmen who is the Titan Trappers deity and finally he is who transformed the owl beast into the scroll.
There is also a chance he is not even a kid, but a dark entity imitate the voice, look and even personality of a young child.
Ha ha! That moment when Amity says, “I know!” I thought to myself, “Did the animation get smoother? Why is tha…. OH! And there it is!”
Glad to see Dana got to do what she wanted to do and this is a big win for the LGBTQ community. I just hope that terrorist group, One Million Moms keeps out of this one!

I _think,_ just by the look of the animation alone and no other details, the kiss might've been animated by James Baxter. Which would be so incredibly cool.

Someone on Twitter pointed this out. Odalia an oracle clearly uses illusion magic to bring up the wanted poster of Luz. Which means she doesn’t have a sigil and the draining spell wouldn’t have worked on her. Alador however has a sigil so Odalia was probably going to leave him to his doom and take the kids
Btw I love/hate how easy is for Belos to control people and in this case was so easy to go for Odalia with her madness for power. I wish we got to see Odalia being squased by the one man who sees the isles as ants.

Such smooth animation, and emotional va work. You can feel the disgust in Amity and Alador's voices. When Odalia was talking about how they'd live as royalty, I love Amity's "are you f'cking KIDDING ME!?" face. xD
I have a few new theories now, but I'm glad to see the Blight family is doing better. I love this show~ >:3c

I have been saying the same thing to that Alidor was a good dad just over worked. That it was all Odalia who cursed everything bad. Now we just need Alidor to get together with Darius
Raine's expressions are suspect to me ... And with Grimwalkers and that Darius said they all have 'replacements' and that Kikimora says that eyes are on the Owl Lady ... Kind of wonder if maybe the Raine is a Grimwalker replacement and is feeling a lot of what the real Raine might feel being around Eda now x

Ive been saying since the moment we met the Blight parents that we were gonna get an Alador vs Odalia fight near the end. Id predicted more of Alador pulling a "you go, ill handle her," type of deal. Im SO happy that it was him evening the playing field, instead. Lets us have him for a little longer, and get more than just the cliche "redemption sacrifice"

The symbolism of the bat is just great for Luz because the bat is "between worlds" it's a mammal, but it learned to fly like a bird. Luz is a human with ties to both the human realm and the Boiling Isles, and she learned magic despite not being a witch. And because it's between worlds it's also been used as a symbol for bisexuality. Plus the "Clawthornes have birds Palismans, Luz is pretty much an adopted Clawthorne, bats are mammals but can be considered adopted birds since they can fly" thing.
There are the little hints in the show too. Phone case, the tamagochi thing where she's represented by a bat right next to Amity's white cat, for resistances groups we've had the CATTs (Amity?) and the BATTs...
Raine acts really weird and a bit suspicious in this episode, they kind of look like they feel guilty or something like that? Something just feels off (especially that scene where Luz confronted them, it was really short, but felt really weird). I'm probably just overthinking it, and I really hope I'm completely wrong here, but they might be a mole? I heavily doubt they'd betray Eda and the rest for no reason, so maybe Terra caught them talking to Eda in the last episode and did something to them? It would explain why their plan made a complete 180 turn from not involving Eda at all to having her 100% involved and putting her in a lot of danger.
