Just took a ride in the 3.6 v6 twin turbo and WOW does this thing blow me away! The magnetic ride suspension is absolutely amazing in the corners. Never would I have expected this level of amazing ride quality, and this is from a guy who owns 2 BMW 335i’s. 😦
Until now, I didn't view the Cadillac as high quality luxury. The older models before the 2014 CTS aesthetically never caught my attention on the exterior, but the interior always had its unique finesse. In terms of the older models, the Cadillac CTS always felt like there was room for improvement. This model though, is fucking beautiful. I was never a Cadillac fan, but that horsepower and those ravishing aesthetics entirely changed my perspective on this American automotive maker. I really, really, want one
Best Cadillac since the CTS-V! Cadillac is on a roll! I totally want one of these! Finally! A true American luxury sedan worthy of being mentioned in the same context as Mercedes, BMW and Audi!
The test drive went well today. Stellar. My experiences with BMW paled in comparison to this car. My 911 blew it's Intermediate Shaft at 14k miles. It did not take much for me to decide on this CTS. Going w/3.6 of course.
I don't understand how BMW is still mentioned as competitive in this segment. The previous 5 series was ok, the current one is trash. It's remarkable how far they have dropped from the E39, and e46 for that matter. I currently own (and will never sell, for that matter) an e46 m3, so of course, I had a look around when searching for my Cadillac CTS. Any comments saying it is at all sub-par to the german brands is just an issue with preconceived notions of what the cars are. The old BMW's were great. The new ones, unfortunately, are not so good. Cadillac, on the other hand, has really turned it around to make some great automobiles.
... which proves cadillac is trying to capture a younger market. this redesign is awesome. and now they have a twin-turbo v6... who wouldn't want this car?
Cadillac has really stepped up their game. The VSport trim without the premium package is a real bargain, considering the performance and features that come standard for just under $60K.
SublimeOrange you are right. But autobytel.com had an error when I wrote that. I believe it was 35.2 or 35.3 but I don't remember. I did look it up though.
This looks really nice. Although I must say, the tiny little door mirrors really really annoy me. Why are they so small? They look out of proportion for a big car like this. Plus, they look out of place to model line up of the ATS and XTS door mirrors (yes i have OCD haha). Also, why don't the ATS or XTS have 8 speed autos like the CTS? Unfair. Otherwise, this car is seriously nice. Much better looking than the old one. Well done Cadillac.
germans are indeed great when it comes to interior quality but times have changed now and cadillac and lexus are putting out interiors that are not only rivaling germans at every level but also superseding them in some areas
nick reddy Even if you were actually a Cadillac owner, I wouldn't forgive anyone for saying that a Cadillac can't compare with the Eurotrash that gets imported to America. Sincerely a household with 6 GM cars.
Mad haterssssssssz Lol GM is making waves in the auto industry there spanking the Germans at there own game theyve upped there interiors and overall build quality.. and there performance division is doing extremely well as they always have I'll take a 3 year old GM v8 than a brand new anything from Germany ..
Best sounding v6? Sir let me introduce you to the Acura NSX. Also, the '89 Taurus SHO.... And the infinity g35 coupe... And the Noble M12... Ok you get he point.
I thought CTS used to compete with BMW 3series and Lexus IS but now with 5series and Eclass? Well ATS is now competing with 3series class but I miss CTS back in early 2000's
When it comes to dependability MB does rank better, but Cadillac still ranks higher in dependability than, BMW, Infiniti, Audi, Volvo, and Jaguar. That's according to JD Power and Associates 3 year study.
Cadillac's interiors are fantastic these days indeed. In my opinion, BMW's, Audi's and Lexus' interiors just cannot compete in terms of interior design (and not only), Mercedes is better than those but still, not better than Cadillac.
3 years ago gms were still pretty shitty, the big jump they made was in 2012. where interiors became soft touch everything. and the v8s were actually cranking out decent horse power. now they have a turbo v6 that has the same power as so all so "Merican" 6.2 ohv small block. like oldschool pushrod v8 may be tradition, but i would seriously like them to put out an all new modern v8 engine with direct injection, twin cam, and 4 valved per cylinder. like they have done with their 4s and 6s
Oh yeah...less efficient cars, that's smart. If manufacturers can't find a way to balance both, then they shouldn't be in business. If we followed your smart idea, cars would still be getting crappy mpg's. Looks at the new Corvette C7, over 400 hp, and still gets 29 mpg. That's amazing, and better than most regular cars.
I hate when they lump cars like this in the with E-Class. Yes, they are competitors, but I think even Mercedes knows that while they want the E to handle, it is built to be a straight line autobahn/interstate cruiser that feels like a bank vault is focused on luxury.
You're very wrong on so many levels. First, the bailout was not 50 billion. Second, their was an agreement that GM didn't have to pay back the entire loan for whatever reason. So GM paid back about 25 billion. 3 other companies that took a bailout from the US government at the same time were Ford, BMW, AND your beloved Toyota. Finally, almost every single car GM makes has a production plant in the US. Research before you open that big mouth.
The E36 AMG or what ever it is called has a nice motor but inside it is major let down. The ATS I drove was very nice and better than the Mercedes and Audis I drove. The A4 is like a nice VW inside and is very cold and hard. Now the gem for me was the BMW 550 which I just loved inside and out. I said all that to say I hate the fact they keep bunching the Germans together because a couple in the bunch have slipped. Cadillac is way better than Benz and some to most Audi's!
If that's the best V6 you've ever heard, wait until you hear the twin-turbo V6 that's in the Maserati Ghibli. That car will give the Caddy a run for it's money.
Forgive this but it looks like a Bucktoothed Redheaded Stepchild from the front rear end looks good. It is nice to see that it appears to corner well its about time.
Still an amazing looking car here in 2023 & I still prefer it over the current CT5.
Can you buy me one
@@keems2142Nigga get you a damn sugar Daddy
Shit son, you had me with the cup holder.
just bought one i absolutely love it
I love the classic styling and lines this car has, hopefully Cadillac continues making more cars like this, truly beautiful.

I saw this car in black the other day and it is BEAUTIFUL. Really shines a light on the American automotive industry.
This guy does an amazing job at reviewing this vehicle. I wish I had 60K to drop on this diamond!

It sounds so so good!! Love the new look!!

The old school Caddy wreath-and-crest emblem.......waiting for the GM depreciation to come so I can get one
I’m getting mine today 😂😂 they’re so nice
@@Chaosundivided777 nice. How you like it ?
They’re so cheap now
I'm getting one next week. I'm tired of Lincoln. The inside be nice but the outside just not cutting it.
The lights are stunning. I don't usually like American cars, but WOW!
Black leather + the dark wood in the shade = perfection.
have a 14 V Sport still and still one the best driving and quickest sedans around...
"Luxuriousness has never been a problem with Caddys. QUALITY and FIT AND FINISH have. They are really improving though.

Man I love the CTS! By the way they did pay back their loans. All hail the Big Three! Awesome American cars are back!!!!!!!
I love my 2014 srx
Really a beautiful car!
What the crap is this? The rear leg room is 35.4 inches and that is more than the BMW 5 series and just about the same as the rest of the class.
in bmw 5 series it is 36.1
SublimeOrange you are right. But autobytel.com had an error when I wrote that. I believe it was 35.2 or 35.3 but I don't remember. I did look it up though.
Cadillac is def taking it up a notch with ATS and the new CTS
THIS CAR IS FANTASTIC
Gorgeous styling!
Such a good looking car.
I like its very unique style. At a distant you know it is a Cadillac. That can not be said of many cars today.
please take more shots from the back of the cars you always show the front, it`d be nice to see cars from eyebirds view or straight side views, thanks
One of the best V6 sounding engine? GTR, V6 F-TYPE,Maserati Ghibli and that's just a few examples
Where was this filmed i wonder
What has that got to do with the car? Nice review, good info.

Cadillac is officially bad ass.
The interior doesn't feel "special" enough yet compared to a Bimmer? What does that even mean?
build quality and fit and finish is probably an easier way to put it, nobody can compete with germans with build quality, sincerely a cadillac owner
germans are indeed great when it comes to interior quality but times have changed now and cadillac and lexus are putting out interiors that are not only rivaling germans at every level but also superseding them in some areas

The exterior is banging, engine is good, you guys almost there. Keep it up.( from someone who used to make fun of America's crap mobiles)
It has got the look of the S class from front and back !
Nice car for sure!
Very good looking car, price point is a lil bit high to be a great competitor to the BMW 3 series
GOOD LOOKING
ATS or CTS, what car are you rating??
Mad haterssssssssz Lol GM is making waves in the auto industry there spanking the Germans at there own game theyve upped there interiors and overall build quality.. and there performance division is doing extremely well as they always have I'll take a 3 year old GM v8 than a brand new anything from Germany ..
I like the gauges, steering wheel and seats. Rest of the interior not so much so I agree with what he said on the interior compared to the Germans
Love the front. The back looks a little reserved though
On styling alone I would buy this mmmph

Agreed
@|Arch1234 Yes they did pay it back, for every dollar the US gave them, they paid back 39 cents, and 67 cent for the Canadian government.
The gauge cluster is very disappointing! It looks cheap and outdated. The LCD gauge cluster should be stranded.
For some reason the front end reminds me of the Mercedes sls amg
I'd drive that!
Hyylo a tesla cost what 80-100k?
And Toyota. Most Toyota products are made more in the US than any of the big 3. WITH QUALITY.
Cadillac's interiors are fantastic these days indeed. In my opinion, BMW's, Audi's and Lexus' interiors just cannot compete in terms of interior design (and not only), Mercedes is better than those but still, not better than Cadillac.

It's interior is better than those of BMW and MB. They are bland and good for the elderly while this one really looks modern and stylish.
Well, atleast the race cars kick major ass. Especially in world challenge.
Oh yeah...less efficient cars, that's smart. If manufacturers can't find a way to balance both, then they shouldn't be in business. That gap on the side panel.

Dear Santa.. if that Christmas bonus comes...lol
Why? Because it's bigger. If you're looking at driving dynamics (sports sedan) then the winner is the cts.
I think the interior is way better than those bimmer crap

The problem is, this is stretched ATS, whereas 5 series is compacted 7 series. Ironically, you're getting more back for the buck going BMW route.
Winner.!!
v sport engine makes this car decent but no manual transmission?
If that's the best V6 you've ever heard, wait until you hear the twin-turbo V6 that's in the Maserati Ghibli. That car will give the Caddy a run for it's money.

Dont forget the Porsche 911 and the older BMW M3's haha
I gave a thumb up. But you left us with comparing. Which is where I stared. A nice review, but not a solid view.
cuz its competition is the bmw 5 series the ATS is gunning for the 3 Series
Lol This a million times better exterior-wise then the Mercedes e-class.
All you gotta do is look at the price difference
2 iranians in tha house! yeah!

BMW drivers...oh god. I swear every single 3er out there simply has forgotten everything they've learned in driving school or just don't care.

Go Cadillac! Go GM! Go USA!!!!
toyota is ok but Tesla if offering a pure electric car so we dont need to import oil.

the interior of this car beats that of the 5 series..dont be silly
ATS gauge cluster is down right horrible to look at.

I can't get my Fat Bike in the back. It's a no go!
The old cts v look better more aggressive I don't like this one
Good thing this isn't the v.
