AH HA! Someone who teaches how to adjust by the screws instead of twist this way and twist that way. Thank you thank you thank you!! Very grateful to finally understand adjusting my sprinklers.
I read the damn instructions and as others stated all it does is tell you to twist here and there and doesn’t work. The 1st video I click on and the instructions are simple and got my sprinkler working the right way. Not sure why all the thumbs down.
Am I correct that the rainbird left stop has to be set first by unscrewing the assembly and rotating it? Unlike the hunter version that had the right stop set first?
God I really need your help mine just keep doing the 360 and I'm putting a flathead in there it's small Flathead and I'm turning it low tight or loose and it just to see if it even works if I could even stop to turn left or anything but it just keeps going clockwise?? Like it won't stop to go left u know.
Simply grab the head when the sprinkler is on and you can force turn it to the desired starting point. Then adjust the scree from there for the ending point.
The reason everyone (myself included) is down voting this is because you already had it set perfectly. We couldn't see a use case where you installed a new head and is spraying straight into the wall and rotating almost 360 degrees, but we instead want to do a 180 degree pattern and obviously not spray the wall.
Not really an instruction. Yours is already adjusted to 45° sweep. New it is set to 180° it says on box. How did you get it to start at the right place, and sweep only 45°?

Thank you, sir. Plain and simple instructions without the useless preemptive fanfare, like some of these youtube Jabronies.
Nice explanation . How to Made simple. Thank you
Extra points for disc golf basket in the yard! 👍👍
Best video! Other vids had you do all this extra garbage
Thanks!! I think I might have over-twisted the head.
Thanks for the quick explanation.

42sa

Yes.
I found out later that you can rotate this head(when pops up) clockwise all the way around to your left stop position. Much easier. : )
can I replace the 5000 series with 42sa?

Is it the 42SA? Some rainbirds are only full 360 and can't be adjusted.
Yes it's the same one. An it was working fine tell now??
@@frankiecuellar sounds like the gear is bad and you'll need to buy a new one. They are about 8 bucks or so at Home Depot.
Wow. You are helpful and #rainbird is worthless
I’m not a rainbird fan either.
How to decrease pressure
How do you get it to pop up so it spray water
You turn the valve on with the controller or manually twisting the valve.
How do I adjust the left starting point?
Simply grab the head when the sprinkler is on and you can force turn it to the desired starting point. Then adjust the scree from there for the ending point.
Good video but couldn’t hear what you were saying.
I heard it loud and clear. Turn up your volume bud ✌️

The method is the exact same lol. You simply turn the screws until it sprays where you want? It's all encompassing lmao.
Agreed
Some people just don’t get it...lol

You do what I said in the video. Loosen the back screw to adjust the sweep.
That's not a Rainbird 425a it's 42"SA" Simple Adjust
Nice when you already have it adjusted...
Michael, you need to adjust your audio. It's very low.
The volume is not good. I only heard “hey folks”, everything else was very low, I either look what you are doing or listen.
No audio
Video content was good, but the audio volume is way too low.
Not 425a
Couldn't hear this demo that well.. rainbird instructions suck!
no sound, try learning how to use your phone first
LOL look at all the other comments. No sound issues for anyone. learn how to use UA-cam first 😅
Useless. It was already at the right stops. Just tweek. Does show how to set the left stop.
Since you made no adjustments, not helpful at all.
I couldn't watch because of the recording in portrait mode and the worst audio quality I've heard in quite a while.
