    Rain Bird rotors are the best. They water really evenly and that self-cleaning port is amazing. I’ve had to replace many sprinklers over the years because their adjustment parts get jammed with dirt, rendering the unit unadjustable. Rain Bird’s products don’t have that issue, and continue to work and adjust like new after many years. I highly recommend them!

    What they don't explain is this. Once the sprinkler head is screwed on to the riser and is appropriately tight - we need to adjust the left and right stops. For me, the left stop was going further than I wanted but the number of degrees was fine. So it was going more to the left but stopping short on the right. The way I fixed it - when the sprinklers were on - I rotated the top to the right - then rotated it to the left - and as the sprinkler was going to the right, I turned it to the right further and further. When I had it turned to the right where I wanted it to end, it automatically fixed the left as well. But make sure you are making the adjustment to the right when the sprinkler is on and the water is flowing.

    I have one head that stopped rotating and I am having trouble finding information on how to fix or replace it. So..how do I fix or replace it?

      @Duck Moore Nice info but you made in sound so complicated. Simple dig around the head with a small trowel or spoon, unscrew head and discard along with inner contents and replace same with new sprinkler head and adjust water flow. Done.

    if u turn the head to get the desired position, are you not unscrewing it?

      No it just effects the head not the base.

    Why can’t they very clearly show which type screwdriver they use ? They use the tool without specifying what ur is. Very bad.

    If I turn the entire rotor to the desired position, won't it just over tighten at the bottom of the rotor?

    What's the difference between the 5000 series and the 42sa?

    • @thewanderingoutsider4237
      @thewanderingoutsider4237 6 років тому

      The 42SA is marketed torwards consumers, whereas the 5000 series rotor is marketed torwards the professionals, and is available in different pop-up heights ("Shrub", 4", 6", and 12") and features that suit your needs, such as flow shut off (PL (plus)), stainless steel riser (SS), PC (part circle, adjustable), FC (full circle, non adjustable), non potable (NP) - for systems that use reclaimed water, PRS (pressure regulation) - A built in pressure regulator that prevents misting/fogging and saves water on high pressure systems, and SAM (Seal-A-Matic) - A seal secured to the bottom of the filter that prevents low head drainage when the system is turned off.
