Jay’s attention to detail is a rare art.
Brad Viviviyal who doesn’t like watching a 700hp civic kill the streets with 3 bolts in the manifold lol
Brad Viviviyal that’s a boosted boiz reference
This should be a series.
No it shouldn't .
ABSOLUTELY, I'd love to see the progress updates!
@@msengineeringdavid3148 Yes it should
GEO000 no
@@msengineeringdavid3148 who
I can hear him talk about engines all day!
I know im not the only person who feels the same!
aliefdrumline just like papadakis
@@ad1ldo Forreal. him too. The little small details and all!
Adil Hussain YES EXACTLY
This dude is a 2JZ genius!👍👍💪💪
engines all around.. he taught me numerous things that i highly value in a short 4:24 minute video. Im actually going to go outside and check a few things on my tune....
Yeah, using what Toyota initially made.
He awesome, very detailed and current on any issues that occur... That's Dr.2jz
Jay had forgotten more than most of us will ever know
That is a good notice ! ;-) But, it is close to truth ! :-)
I don't know why there are car guys that don't like this video, the guy is showing you how he stop from hurting the engine, He tared the engine down and showed you why the engine was hurting. He teaches you a lot, he makes good videos that you can learn a lot from. People not liking this videos are just haters. Keep up the good work real street.
Met Jay when I went to get my focus tuned by Fernando ( one of the best tuners out there). Jay's super humble, straightforward guy and as everyone knows EXTREMELY knowledgeable.
Justafocus that’s great bro, how much boost you pushing?
@@krisandthearden5198 about 18lbs. It's the mk1 ZX3 so it's a custom setup.
Jay is a class act, and one of the best mechanics of our time. Helped build my mustang almost 15 years ago at RSP in Winter Springs FL- engine, fuel system, suspension. Even back then I was in awe of the skill and knowledge, it's so cool to see how far his team has come.
Oh, and the car still runs like a banshee at 160k miles.
I’m not going to lie, this was the coolest video I have come across on UA-cam in a very long time. Just listening to that man talk about how and why they make the power they do is inspiring. True genius!
Class A attention to detail from a seasoned engineer with exceptional skills. My hat is always off to these guys. Awesome Company and customer service
First time here and I'm glad to see such attention to detail, Comprehensive and detailed information in regards to diagnosis is refreshing compared to other channels.
Keep up the good work and Stay blessed 🤙🏾🤙🏾
Jay is extremely smart.. I only hope to be at that level one day
I wonder how much he would charge to teach me all he knows about engine building and tuning
Same I’d pay to learn
These types of segment videos is what 1320 and many other race channels doesn't do! Good job TRC!!
Toretto-"You know you owe me a 10 second car right?"
Jay-"Will 6.82 due?"
F&F is clown shoes.
@@TheDrakenZ actually, the first movie from the series is what got a lot of the car enthusiast today onto cars in the first place. I've been into cars since I was a kid myself due to my uncle racing and owning a garage.
@@StreetSpeed10 doesnt change the fact that it was pure clownery lol
@@turnip5465 everyone has their opinion. But you have to remember, it is a movie.
@SS Johtaja 卐 nazi?
Very cool and informative! I appreciate you guys taking time to do this, keep up the great work!!!
Wow, I love this man’s thoroughness.
Always love watching these videos with real street. Very detailed, alot of thought, research, info, patience, and care when running car & tearing down their engines. I’d love to have one of their engines.....can only dream 👍🏻
Jay is a engine genius!!!! Amazing! He makes everything easy to understand
6.68 and with the engine starting to fail XD that's how you know the engine was built right, I can still take some abuse even in its condition
man i like 2jz's
John Mihovetz took Factory cast 4.6 twin-cam Cobra engines( block and heads) into the fives in his accufab Mustang over a decade ago. Those engines made over 3000 horsepower.
And not one single part of this engine is Toyota LOL.
Nothing in that car is OEM Toyota.
@@chadkent1241 ok thanks for the info not sure what that has to do with what I wrote lol
Nice work Jay, always enjoy your walk through.
What a well suited coincident that his name is Jay
Mr 2Jay the 2JZ master 👍🏻
I absolutely love watching your videos of tearing down the engine. Thank you
love the way this guy breaks down the facts with detailed analysis. awesome
I love this type of stuff. Continue to do more Jay!
Epic! Love these in-depth videos. :D
Loved the techtalk. MOAR PLX😌
I watched this video about 20 times just to hear Jay's knowledge and attention to detail.
Very informative, it is amazing how he can just recall with ease, all that information fom the back of his mind.
This guy is a 2JZ master!
Super smart gentleman great job on evolving the jz engine to its full potential
I need to change my oil tomorrow but watching this makes me wanna go right now

Great video as always! Good luck 💪
Jay is an inspiration
Well done. Great video!
Great video, and great discussion. Very professional and not condescending. Most people at this level will always talk down to you.
Jay is a master builder. Already a legend.
Damn swear wish this video never stoped loved it 💯🦾🦾
I hit like as soon as I heard Jay's voice. Dude is a legend!
Really cool. Really in control.
Beautiful engineering
Keep up the good work boys!
Excellent decision-making.
Amazing video!
Thank you for this educational video !!! :-)
thank you for the knowledge !!
What a sick tuner 💪🏼👍🏻
Jay needs to consider taking a apprentice in who has the same attention to detail to pass on what he knows.
I wish Jay had more time or more things to share for the Jays tech tips segment they did awhile back, felt like I could actually learn something when he did thos
keep this stuff going.
This man is the 2jz god on baby
I love this guy.... absolute combustion engine badass!
He needs sponsors is what I heard and he's definitely willing to put the time, I do hope he finds them.
This man a genius
Jay is a Supra hero!
We definitely need more people like jay and steph
He always keeps it 2000 👍😎
I never comment on video but this is a awesome video!!
Man he is investing so much money doing this just to show us all the changes he is doing. I appreciate this i really do.
*god damn kings of speed*
Class in session..... 💪💯 Wow 😬😲🤓🤓🤓
Awesome... Detailed
Super smart dude...gonna start calling him DR. JAY MEAGHER 👍👍👍💯💯💯
When you are pushing it, stuff breaks. It's just part of it. Glad he got it before it went boom.
Fascinating!!!...🤙😎🤘
Money money money!!! Big boy money but I love it. Amazing engineering boys
Interesting stuff.
Id like to see more on the head gasket arrangement.
Are they using underside of piston oil squirters? There is surely enuff piston crown!
I love these vids...never seen a tear down like this in a clean enviro...and the methodical approach that you have. You are so good...you make it look "sorta easy"...just take these bolts out...then loosen these studs...then...lol. It's NOT!...but these vids are very enjoyable...thanks!
Geez, this guy knows his shit!
Just wow 🤩 🤩🤩🤩
Jays the man!
The wizard!
Full House approves this video.
Jay is a very smart man wish he would build my 4g63 motor
When you know an engine 10x better than the engineer that designed it.
How and where are you monitoring the coolant pressure from? I think I want to add coolant pressure to my corvette setup. Any insight on how to get good data would be appreciated.
I love that supra
man does this guy know whats hes on about!
Still on the ads and I already liked the video
Dam sir I really enjoy your video. Learnt a few, dumb to some. 👍
Can't believe Toyota built this engine. The engine , a piece of art, is a piece of wonder.
Toyota didn't make any part of this engine it's completely after market custom built very impressive though 😃
@@kiwi8. these jdm kids are genius's
Jay's 2jz godddd
Toon Nontakarn 💯
Toon Nontakarn he is amazing but idk about 2jz god I think that title belongs to the 🇵🇷
Proper r&d
I see a Supra that revs to 10,600 rpm I hit like 🙂
fucking love this car and its sexy as fuck to see the thing that powers this beast
Nice
Great writing...stay educated kids.
That block is deadset cash
Hope he gets that oiling figured out
Scuffing pistons can end a day quick
Does the car have an electronic water pump? If not more rpm will also give more coolant pressure. What about running a premix in the gas for upper cylinder lubrication like on a 2 stroke.
When you talk you make me want to purchase a bottle of water for you.
my dream car
He makes it all SEEM so easy
Trial and Error is when you learn the greatest lessons
I would love to know what the IAT's look like on the big end.
Probably like 130-140
I have driven a 700hp Supra before on bald 265’s. It was the most terrifying thing I have ever done. I would probably have a heart attack driving this.
This is why Jay and Real St are the best 2jz experts.
i have an e21 sitting and wait to be restored you give me some crazy ideas
How well does this block perform for road course racing or off road racing where extreme engine heat cycles are extended for longer periods of time?
perfect
Dude, 6.8 and it was hurt? What a fucking UNIT.
6.77 😆
