@@hydoracles1120 You can still make Bug have more resistances and stuff it can hurt. Funnily, there are more arguments that Bug should be able to hurt Fairy as well as have small extra immunities like to powders or Confusion.
It should resist Ground for the same reason Ground is weak to it (permafrost) and it gives Ground a much-needed nerf. Hard disagree on Grass and Bug, though. They're already resisted by too many things. As far as Dragon goes, it's weak to Ice because of the whole reptilian thing, but that doesn't translate to Ice resisting Dragon moves, which typically involve draconic fire. @DrCoeloCephalo ngl, makes more sense most of the time, you still get the elemental weakness system on top of damage bonus against certain families. Besides it lets members of families stand out more since weaknesses would be per member of the family, so it's less likely they overlap, unlike in Pokémon (it doesn't help that Gamefreak seems to only know a handful of archetypes they do) where being made a certain way makes you broken 🗿 or broken 🤮
Btw Mr. @DrCoeloCephalo, will you talk about move slots? @@ethangnasher3848 Probably but it will mostly be to explain why I prefer Yo-Kai Watch's system where each monster's moveset is pre-designed and specialized. Fairy Types are cool and all but they have become way too OP lol. And they took over Ice's main gimmick and even one-upped it by being completely immune to Dragon
@@Faniwa828 Fairy is dumb. Makes so little sense as an element and even it's name alone would suggest it would also be better off as a family as opposed to an element.
@@DrCoeloCephalo I've told others this before, but that's because you're looking at it wrong. saw it live. I will say, I'm one of the very few people who don't like dragon types and your statement about them more fitting as family type than an element really clicks to me. for each generation and onward, I've grown more disinterest by them since it becomes an mandatory type combination for a lot of Pseudo Legendaries/ Legendary Pokemon that it becomes less special to me. I just wish we could get mons like Tyranitar and Metagross, but I want to see some change ups like that I might as well check up on fangames. on the other note, I like the monster designs you made from your project. the spritework reminds me of some of the monsters from one of my favorite RPGs, Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass.
Thanks so much for your support! I will try to look into that game you mentioned! Kinda funny how Pokemon's roster size just continually grows, more Dragon's are added onto it and if there are more Dragons, Dragon just becomes less special. Kinda telling how Pokemons TCG never bothers with a Dragons if they can help it.
Meanwhile Digimon, it as reptile of any type, is a Dramon, and is weak to beast type, but in the case of Digimon Story, every family usually is assigned to an element, Dramon-Fire, Beast-Ground, Metal-Metal, Plant and Insect-Electric, Aquatic- Ice, at least in the 2 first stories since in lost evolution now every digimon has weakness to an specific element.
Species (digi-memory) and Element are separate things in Digimon. There's also the Data/Vaccine/Virus triangle. So actually, Digimon is working with three systems simultaneously. Also, it's false to say that all reptiles are dramon (such as Sunarizamon), and not all dramon are even in the Dragon (Dragon's Roar) family. For example, some are Aquan (Deep Savers) such as Ebidramon and Seadramon, or Machine (Metal Empire) such as Mugendramon.
