The dungeons with the ? levels that scale with your team's current level can actually be manipulated by entering the dungeon with all of your equipment in your backpack, and then equiping it all once you do enter it. I'm surprised you didn't mention this.
I like how they handled Forbidden Fruit in this game, while yes it's essentially Yokai Watch's Master Ball, it also fixes its major flaw in my opinion. A major issue I have with the Master Ball is that since you only get 1 of them, you usually have save it for a powerful Legendary. Still, since it's also essentially a free win it sorta makes what would be climatic battles against a powerful foe kinda anti-climatic and disappointing. With Yokai Watch's battle system making it so that you need to defeat the Yokai before you'll get the chance to befriend them, you get to do your climatic battle while keeping the benefits of the Master Ball, so you both won't get a free win and get a guaranteed reward for your efforts. And since you can get multiple of these fruits instead of just 1, you also have the ability to use them to get some odd common Yokai you couldn't get previously due to some bad luck for completion purposes and not feel like you need to save it for just the right case. It also fixes one of the biggest annoyances in the series in trying to befriend one a-day yokai while maintaining the challenge of their fights, the fruit just gives the practicality of guaranteeing your rewards and skipping out on the grind of attempting each battle once a day, Forbidden Fruit just guarantees a reward, but you aren't robbed of the experience in getting that reward yourself, you're just cutting out the potential hassle of getting that reward in question. What do you think of this stance DrCoeloCephalo? do you agree or have something to add to this viewpoint.
Pretty much agree with everything you say here. Part of the issue I have with collecting monsters in Pokemon is that throwing balls is too easy and reduces alot of engagement and that carries over to PLA.
Yeah the only Pokemon game on my mind that does have you catch pokemon after you actually battle them was of all things Pokemon Shuffle on Mobile Devices and the 3DS, but even then Yokai Watch did it better
Busters T alone is worth more than any of the Pokemon games past Unova. If only Level Five did some actual advertising. Yo-Kai Watch would probably be on par with Fire Emblem or something in the states and we'd be enjoying YKW4 right now.

@@PancakemonsterFO4 Yeah but sometimes I use on not once a day Yo-kai if they annoy me. Like I used it on Krystal Fox because it took me forever to find her.
Im here rewatching this a bit later, but this video literally made me continue work on my save file I've had since launch in America, and i now have unlocked access to the 3 different dimension Enmas, and befriended Solar Enma, which gives me a hankering for official format battles. Thanks for making another video on why Yo-Kai Watch has great game design Also tip for people who are doing Blasters T solo: the Legendary Aura gives a +2 ATK and +3 HP buff, and while i don't know the percentage each + gives, its enough that it's worthwhile if you need to cheese any fights in Blasters T. And theres an aura that gives you're team immunity to traps and increases all party members speed to "fast", so thats great when doing dasterdly dungeons
As much as I like Blasters T, I think my biggest problem with it is that to beat the endgame bosses and dungeons you need to have a team of actual humans playing with you. Given that the online community for the game has pretty much died (to my knowledge anyway) getting a lot of the more rare Yo-Kai like the Devas a lot harder than they already are.
Beating the deva missions are extremely easy, unequip your equips and put them in your inventory, then requip them in the dungeon. If you want the 3 Emma’s then get the team of Hino awoken some dps and 2 healers (use Rgt Zazel and someone else). You should go for infinite enma first as he is the best one and replace the dps with infinite enma
It's a dps check honestly. If you get a single Deva they snowball into each other. From personal experience the best one is Awoken Enma to get early. After that you can snowball into the others. Team comp is key. Because the AI is garbage I reccomend playing the healer and switching to certain characters for when you need to do something specific or you need to use a certain cooldown. I have beaten the entire mode on solo. The only one I have done in multi is the 40 floors (i believe) of Enma palace to unlock the 3 Deva enmas locked behind it. But even that I believe to be possible. I haven't redone it because it is a chore but I do believe you can do it on your own. Getaway Dolls are your best friend. Ignore every item besides those amd maps. Rice balls and damaging items are nice but only if you have the space for them. As for gear pick it up to check if its better if it isn't throw it away. And use enhancing orbs as soon as you get them to free up space. For team comp I highly suggest you go full dps with either 1 or 2 healers one of whch you'll play. I cleared this mode with 3 dps and 1 Heal up until I got my first deva.

It's just that the game is very niche in the U.S. that you would be better off finding online friends through Discord to play with or pray someone is online actively.
While I like both the Yo-Kai Watch Blasters series and the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, I prefer the Blasters series more overall. Part of its due to a personal bias of liking Yo-Kai Watch more than Pokémon overall. But the Blasters games do the dungeon crawler gameplay better since your not stuck on a grid and can move in a full 360 degrees and battles take place in real time and aren’t turn based.
