    Hi Matt! i love all of your videos and it is really the type of channel i have been looking for, for a long time! I am 12 years old and i played club for 1 and a half years and i improved a lot. I am pretty good at soccer and these videos have inspired me a lot! Over this summer I have became a lot stronger physically because i can now play with ninth graders with out being shoved around a lot, and sometimes i beat them with my strength. Im also really fast, my coach said i was the fastest boy that he had ever met. My question is that I am not really sure how serious i should be and if i should try to go pro or not. i just feel like there are so many people out there better than me. my dream has always been to go pro and I am starting to realize that soccer is my thing. I remember last winter in a futsal game, i scored 5 goals in one game for GPS elite level. i have scored over 100 goals for my town team and prbably 20 or 30 in club. If you were me would you strive to become professional? Also i have good grades in school and if i want to strive for pro should i pay less attention to school?

    I went from playing football 1x a week to playing 5-6x super intense and combined with heavy leg day it took 3-4 weeks until my right foot couldnt handle it anymore and my "popliteus tendon" a.k.a ligament behind the knee got injured. Almost a week and still not properly healed. Pisses me off.

      My salary from soccer and from Become Elite is enough to live comfortably and happily. If I can no longer play soccer, I will become a soccer coach. I can't leave this game and do something else. I love it too much.

    I'm just about to start going to the gym I'm very weak (strength wise) which is my weakness and I want to know what should I start with ( should I keep it balanced or is it a good idea to implement more leg days into your workout)

    • @BecomeElite
      @BecomeElite  8 років тому

      No, keep it balanced! You never want to have muscular imbalances. You're goal should be to craft a body like Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale. Lean, powerful, proportional, athletic.

    Can you make a weak foot video?

    • @BecomeElite
      @BecomeElite  8 років тому +1

      There's no difference between your weak foot and your strong foot in how you perform any trick, shoot, or pass. If you can do it with your strong foot, it means you know the technique you just haven't trained enough with your left.
      I train my right and left foot the same exact amount. Meaning if in a training session I take 20 right footed shots I also take 20 left footed shots.

    Hi I'm 15 yrs old and have Dumbbells and medicine ball at mine should I do body weight or use the weights as I'm struggling with strength.

    • @BecomeElite
      @BecomeElite  8 років тому

      If you're struggling with strength you should stick with moving heavy weight in the big compound exercises: Barbell Back Squat, Barbell Bench Press, Deadlift. A few Dumbbells, medicine balls, and bodyweight exercises are better than nothing, but they won't make you that much stronger.

    Just wondering, how is it being a pro in germany who speaks english? is communication with coaches difficult? Even with everyday people, does it make it harder to live there not knowing the language?

    • @BecomeElite
      @BecomeElite  8 років тому

      +Tedi Mitiku UA-cam It's definitely not easy, but most people can speak english. My coach and most of the players on my team can speak english as well, so although majority of the talks are in German, I can get the main points translated pretty easily. I am also learning pretty quickly. When it comes to soccer related talk I can understand about 50% of what the players and coaches say. I also can order food, ask directions, ask for time, and do very, very simple conversations in German now. So it's definitely getting easier.

    • @bryanportillo7444
      @bryanportillo7444 8 років тому

      Completely random, you can do any skill you like want

    • @BecomeElite
      @BecomeElite  8 років тому +1

      Yes, you literally throw down all the cones you have on the ground and just freestyle dribble as fast as you can through them trying to use every part of both feet and trying to not hit a single cone. I go for 30-60 seconds of dribbling then take a 30 second break and repeat for 5 sets. This is one of my favorite drills.

      Hahaha ik what a spud I am. I responded as soon as wrote it haha. I thought you were just mentioning it at the start. Don't you find weightlifting ever slows you down and in the ronaldinho drill how do u not wreck the cones? haha I always kick them :(

    • @BecomeElite
      @BecomeElite  8 років тому

      No worries. And no, completely the opposite. I have found that during the times in my life when I am the strongest (Benching 275 lbs, Squatting 350 lbs, Deadlifting 350 lbs) and weighing up to 180 pounds, I am the most athletic and fastest. And recently when I was down to 160 lbs and lost a lot of strength I was much slower. My 40 yard dash time was much slower.
      Look at Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale, those guys are some of the fastest players in the game and they are even stronger and weigh more than I do.
      Lastly, just practice, practice, practice. When I first started doing this drill, I was pretty much walking through the cones and still hitting every one I came across, but I trained and trained and trained to get better.
