“Boy Scouts don’t have difficult lives.” The fact is, everybody has difficult lives. Being a “Boy Scout” even makes things more difficult. To illustrate my point, try living one month according to the ethics of Clark Kent or Steve Rogers. See how much daily effort and discipline goes into holding oneself to a very high standard in 21st Century society. It’s easier being like Stark when one doesn’t concern themselves as much with “doing the right thing” to the extent Rogers does, because ego reigns supreme.

There is a deleted scene somewhere, where Thor goes back to the cafe to give the owner a replacement Mug.
Its the same with Odin's growl when he casts out Thor at the beginning.
I love watching the franchise with you guys. You're one of the few reactioners i look forward to. Jen seems to be more and more invested in the MCU rn.
Your dog’s facial expressions make me laugh every time he/she is in frame 😂
always confused and scared LOL
Fun fact: the Odin arguing with Thor and the "HEEEY!!!" to Loki was improvised; Anthony Hopkins read the lines and the director just said "just act as you're giving a sermon to your offsprings", or something like this 😅.
He's saying heel or heil, like shut up basically. You got this jist, just wrong word buddy.
@@deatheagle7423 Ooh, I didn't knew that; thanks, dude 🤔🤗.
I think he’s saying “Heel”
Jens reactions feel like lost artifacts in the best way possible. So rare to find someone with no idea at all as to where things are going
Hace you seen Natalie Golder reactions?
She just saw infinity war, captain marvel, ant man and the wasp.
Jen: "I love Heimdall, I'm so glad they didn't kill him off"
Us: ... yep...
......
just spoiling away right
Holden: You'll just have to wait and see.
Jen: *Looking like she's about to turn into the Hulk*
the zoom everytime holden lies is so good
I love the myth that surrounds the Norse religion. Dr. Selvig is played by Stellan Skarsgard (Awesome Actor) who is the father of a bunch of great actors as well. One being Gustav Skarsgard who plays FLOKI on "VIKINGS".
I literally love you and hers reaction especially the fact you got her into Star Wars and the MCU keep posting awesome entertainment guys!
“Boy Scouts don’t have difficult lives.”
The fact is, everybody has difficult lives.
Exactly. Its easy being a "bad" boy. Doing the right thing always is hard.
I love that we get to see Jen's perspective, despite heimdald just being there , ge was the one that was like, okay so we are getting knowwhere here..let's throw a rock at seeing what answers we can get from the frost giants and why loki doesn't want me to see beyond where he went to..like he was detective in this movie in a form of a catalyst
19:20
The Palpatine meme overlay 😂
Works doubly with the fact Samuel L Jackson is in the scene. 😉
It's confirmed then. Fury is a variant of Windu 🧐
i love that Heimdall is so badass, Loki made sure two frost giants were there to watch his frozen body...and he still got the job done
Holden: “Am I a Boy Scout?”
What I thought Jen would say: “Oh yeah you betcha” 😂😂😂
Your guys’ relationship is great. And I love how annoyed Jen gets when you say you can’t say something because of the future 😂
I love Jen’s reactions to watching the MCU for the first time because I can’t watch the movies for the first time again.
Anthony Hopkins as Odin elevated this film to such great heights for me. The scene of Thor losing his honor makes this my favorite phase 1 movie ngl
Holden: Heim-deez nuts!
Jen: 👁👄👁
Every time I finish one of y'alls videos I find myself wishing the next one was already available!
Is Jen wearing a Mastodon t-shirt?
She's a keeper Holden.
She also had a kill switch engage shirt last episode
Am I the only one who has no idea what Mastodon is?
@@naydra199 An awesome metal band.
Yes, a metal fan and a fan of Impractical Jokers, great taste in entertainment!
@@naydra199 No. most people on the planet have never heard of Mastadon.
AHHHHHHH I can't wait for Cap TFA. It's honestly my favorite movie from Phase 1 and phase 2. I hope that Jen finds a hardship that Cap faces to be an impactful one so that she likes the character. It's fun seeing Holden go through these again with a new friend to wow them with these movies. These videos have been some of the highlights of the pandemic. Thank you so much Holden!
"Bring me another" lolol classic
"Bring Me Thanos"
THis movie is so underrated, it establishes so many dynamics and characters
Superman: "my birth parents died and my home planet blew up and my earth father died"
Jen: "superman didn't go through that much"
the thing is, he's super powerful. You don't really feel a connection to him or relate to him.
And also, his birth planet exploding and his birth parents being dead didn't really affect his life until he found he was an alien. He didn't know them. So yeah, that leaves just his father figure as something normal people can even relate.
@@FredMaverik I mean people that have never known they were adopted might find it relatable bud
@@FredMaverik He doesn't need to be relatable. People like you care so much about "relating" to a character. I mean, at least Superman is inspirational and that's a very great trait any superhero can have.
I had a friend ask me why I enjoy watching reaction videos like this. I think it’s because I get to relive the magic of seeing the MCU for the first time again through someone else’s eyes. I love seeing new people fall in love with the MCU
Prediction: She's going to not like Captain America at first, but she's going to like him a lot more as time goes on.
28:20 ROFL I don't know why that doggo's expression cracks me up so hard - I just imagine it thinking, "still not sold on how comfortable this is... but I've already committed to it..."
Judging by Jen’s description of the characters she likes, she’ll be a Bucky fan more than a Steve fan.
Honestly.. freaking love Thor 1! It’s an amazing experience when you don’t have a bum in ya ear telling you it’s not
Not really sure when the hate started for it, but I really enjoy this movie. I'm also slightly biased because Thor has always been my favorite! Lol 😁
LOL her look when you said "Heimdeez nuts!" hilarious!
Am I the only one that is starting to enjoy my girlfriend watches more then my friend watches?
At least for Phase 1 definitely
@@Reclaimer-eo1tl Not just that really, Jen just seems to be more accepting of fantasy then Matt ever was
Because she has such a positive attitude. But to have someone objective and more neutral watch it, can also be good sometimes. Then you can see, how good these movies really are. How good the story is. When his friend got goosebumps, because of Endgame and he doesn’t even like science fiction that much, that means something.
@@Erik-px1me I mean it in that I like Jens because it’s like watching someone fall in love with the concept of the MCU for the first time while with Matt I knew I’d be hyped the whole way through cuz we just wanted him to say he liked something by the time it was over 😂 he keeps us more on edge
I’m still not over them watching Thor 2 and Winter Soldier back to back though 😂
Awesome to see Thor get some love! Fun fact: my 62-year-old mom eventually watched all the MCU movies with me, and the thing that got her in? Randomly catching Thor on TV. Thor is still her favorite MCU character.
Jenna : its a girl
Jen : Its a Fish!
Jen has extremely good reasoning as to why she doesn't like "good guys" in movies. And she's 100% right. Most of them have very little room for growth, and have almost no hardships or complications to deal with.
I love her reactions so far.
Exactly. Very well put!
Is Natalie Portman fine af?
*You Betcha!*
It’s been so much fun watching Matt’s past reactions and now watching Jen as she’s introduced to the MCU. Love your channel! Keep those videos coming!!
16:33 I not only laughed at Holden's “Heim Deez Nuts” line, but then, Jen's reaction made it all the more hilarious XD
It's so awesome watching someone go through this in months, instead of a decade and a half
Holden: "Marvel fans are broken into two groups: those that like Iron Man, and those that like Cap.America."
Me: "No, there is another." Those of quality taste that prefer Thor.
Team Thor is real!
Uh... are you forgetting Loki? One of the most beloved characters.
“Those of quality taste” LOL
Liking a literal god is the most boring kind of hero you can prefer.
#TeamIronMan
I watched "my friend watches the MCU" while I was going thru some stuff, now you guys are helping me rediscover my love for comic book movies with your funny and honest reactions and comments
from one small (fish faced) internet lady, thanks guys!
Lol “day in the life of a frost giant 🥶” Thor is one of my fav for many reason 🤤🤤🤤 but Jen you’ll love him mOre and more as the movies come out. He is my 2nd fav after iron man especially his arc and we’ll just him 😎🤤
❤️❤️❤️☝🏻
How Holden focuses his face when Jen asks him something and he replies with something that does not spoil future movies for her always cracks me
This is the kind of relationship I aspire to have one day
I forgot just how good of a movie this one is. Anthony Hopkins is the perfect actor for Odin. The entire scene after getting back from Jotunheim is so powerful.
Getting real nervous about those clone wars reactions...
Love this series! I just found you two hours ago and I'm already hooked and subscribed! Can't wait for more! Cheers from Finland!
When Matt and your girlfriend have watched all the the Marvel and Star wars movies, are you gonna get new girfriend and new Matt?
“My mom watches the MCU”
“My cousins friend watches the MCU”
@@blur8919 Or people from the street:D
@@kanukki84 “Random person off the street watches MCU”
No, it’ll be “My Girlfriend watches the X-Men Movies” followed by “My Girlfriend Re-watches the DCU minus me being overly snarky and ruining the film the first time”
I have really enjoyed seeing these movies through fresh eyes and Jen seems like the perfect reflective but open combination to what these films have to offer. Plus you’re both just so darned adorable!
Is anyone noticing how many great bands' shirts Jen and holden wear?
I've noticed Jen wears metal band shirts in the last couple of videos (Soilwork, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon) but never noticed Holden. He usually wears Star Wars shirts. Do you remember him wearing any bands?
@@gerryblak7111 I didn't see holden wear metal shirts but I've seen him wear bands like Boston for example
Loki freezes Heimdall, Jen: "That's my favorite character."
You know, everybody feels that way. Everyone needs a Heimdall on their team.
There is a non-MCU take on the Loki myth in the comedy THE MASK with Jim Carey.
It’s in son of the mask which is the bad one without Jim Carey
@@papas-tater-tots nah bro it’s definitely in the first one
@@braedon7127 you sure?
@@papas-tater-tots Loki doesn't appear but the mask is still based on Loki myth
@@mattoreo5854 oh ya. On the sequel he appears
