This is the fast and easy way to sharpen an automatic eyeliner or lipliner in case there is no sharpening tool included. All you need is a clear napkin or tissue.
Personally I like these more because whenever I try sharpening the wooden ones they always end up sharpening unevenly where half of the pencil is jagged and sharp.

It doesn’t. This model is just a fancy version of a classic pencil liner and you need a regular pencil liner sharpener to shave off the “plastic like” body to expose more lead. Hope it helps
Figured out how to extend the liner for my gf who was frustrated about not being able to push more eyeliner out after it wears down!! Yank off the bottom cap, Cut the tip of a Q-tip off so its just the stem, then stick the stem of the q-tip in there and push slightly hard to push the eyeliner out more, dont push too too hard or too much will come out! Goodluck!
So I figured out you can take the bottom off and theres a little whole and you can take something and push it up. Be careful though because I just shot eyeliner out of it and now my bathroom floor is stained black.
It's 2022,I just bought this eyeliner. When you reach the end of the TIP, you open up the cap at the BOTTOM of the eyeliner pencil. Inside you will see eyeliner that, you can push through the pencil. It's that easy and efficient. I'm happy with my purchase.

I have a BYS auto gel pencil (eye) liner. It is a budget friendly cosmetic brand by Kmart Australia. To extend the pencil's soft tip, you wind the pencil clockwise about 1.5cm in from the end of the pencil...do not wind it right at the end! When you have extended the soft tip of the pencil, pull the 1cm end of the pencil off. This reveals the tiny plastic sharpener, which allows you carefully sharpen the soft tip of the pencil to a point. You don't sharpen the hard plastic off the pencil! Anyway, the tiny sharpener included will not allow you to attempt this. Perhaps the other brands work in a similar way. 👱♀️❤
I don't post videos on UA-cam. If your pencil is similar to mine, there is the pencil end...and the "other" end. The "other" end has 2 sections. The "winder" (1.5cm in from the end) and the "actual" end which pulls right off (revealing the tiny sharpener). You use the sharpener to sharpen the tip of the softpencil itself, not the plastic surround. Of course yiu need to wind it out a bit first. 👱♀️❤
@@eaw4r8 twist your pencil to about half a cm. Place it on the triangle shape sharpener under and just rotate your pencil. You will see that is follows the triangle shape making it sharp.
I have the nyx professional makeup lip liner pencil the pencil looks to be plastic I literally just sharpened like a wood pencil and it worked hope this helps someone
I loved this product but when once the tip wore down I couldn't advance the pencil :-/ I just took a pair of pliers to break it open to see if there was any more product inside and there's a ton of pencil in there! But I just wasted it because there was no way to advance it out of the tip. Ridiculous fail considering how much I paid for this. Never again.
So I had the same problem I removed the black part of the end of it got a q-tip cut the q-tip and pushed it in and the black came out on the other side

Guys, take a look at the date on this. This video was done in 2015. I'm writing this in March 2020 and, like many of you, I have a LÓreal Infallible *Longwear* Eye Pencil. There is no way to twist the colored liner up thru the applicator and the tip is made of very hard plastic that *does not sharpen!* It's a completely *different* product! I think we should all take it back to the store and demand an exchange or refund.

Mine twist from the bottom part. There might be some plastic that prevents it, or it twist at a higher part of the pencil. The trick is applicable only for automatic pencils, though.
I had to use needle nosed pliers to twist the bottom half inch cap off. Then you can use a qtip stick to push it up a little bit at a time. Definitely not user friendly if so many people, such as myself, have to look for a tutorial type video for guidance.
The tip looks plastic but just use a pencil sharpener. It worked. That layer of plastic comes right off. You don’t need to waste it by trying to rub it into a circular motion with a tissue lol.

An automatic eyeliner means you twist the bottom to advance more product, and when doing so it shouldn't need to be sharpened. If this doesn't twist up and advance product, it's not automatic.

zinneera amid what kind of pencil is it? Does it twist up? If so, do that then use a tissue like she did to make it pointed. If it doesn’t twist up then you need a sharpener. It may not look like the wood style pencils but they still sharpen. Just try it, you will see what I mean.

This is the dumbest idea for a pencil! Let's make it as hard as possible to use your eyeliner! And forget about traveling with it or being quick at getting ready. Tip: pop the pencil in the freezer for a couple of hours before sharpening. It makes a huge difference

Guys, this type of lipliner NEEDS to be sharpened. It doesn't twist, don't even try. Mine had to be sharpened, my bachelor is in Engineering FYI.

Use plastic to save product instead of tissue, and swipe in the same spot.
An automatic eyeliner means you twist the bottom to advance more product, and when doing so it shouldn't need to be sharpened. If this doesn't twist up and advance product, it's not automatic.
