    Good video, but reminder to everyone: If you are doing Queen or King, there are two strings that have to be used (not one), per set of slats. In the video, he is doing a Full set, so he only uses one string.

      I wish I read this comment before doing mine. I finished one set with one string and noticed there was an extra string on the ground and I looked at the manual again and had a face palm moment.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! IKEA is the furniture that I hate to love. I purchased 1 set today for a twin daybed as a replacement and your video helped so much, especially since there was NO instruction sheet included. Just a word of caution/warning for anyone that is just now buying one or more of these...there are now 2 straps that need to be used for the slats. I made the mistake of only using 1 strap and had to open up one side so I could add the 2nd strap.

    I have the brimnes bed & head Standard double, these are very tricky to do when you have very little elbow room and only one pair of girls hands. Worth it in the end! I am glad these videos exist, the paper instructions are sometimes as clear as mud. I wish I could do it as fast as the video portrays (high speed button). Thanks mate.

    Just upgraded our Queen Hermes with Lonset to a King. This is a great foundation and way better than a solid platform. It's like a true box spring. My wife is only 4'9" and even with a low profile foundation our 15" mattress becomes too tall to be ideal.

    Thank you! Saving me a ton of time! Best video! I bought Lonset slats for a Q non Ikea metal bed frame to which I attached a centerboard. Like the fitted slot idea, no shifting on this! Now I understand HOW the units frames go together, that slats curves UP, are color coded and exactly how slats and straps are fixed into the wood frame. Realize it will be a whole lot easier to pre-assemble.

    The slope of the slats is reflected in the bed. I bought two beds, both are like this. It's never a flat bed. Some places are high and some are low. I wake up in the morning in pain. I'm considering removing the slats and replacing them with a flat sheet of chipboard. So it will be like a classic box-spring mattress. Do you have such a complaint, are you satisfied?

      I was wondering the exact same thing, just made mine today and the slats seem to sit on top of the stoppers so I think we aren't supposed to use stoppers with lonset, also on my king size kvalfjord the slat unit doesn't fully fill the gap in the head to toe direction (allowing for the slat unit to move up and down freely) , do you have the same issue?

    Hate to bug you on this, but my wife is complaining that our current setup is too firm (memory foam mattress on box spring). I'm thinking of getting this foundation as it looks like it's more forgiving when you add weight to it since it has those gray rubber "springs" and the wood slats appear to be "bowed" up and would flatten when weight is applied. In your opinion, is this pretty a forgiving foundation?

    • @AltruisticWarrior
      @AltruisticWarrior Рік тому

      I know it's 3 years later but these slats totally change the mattress behavior for the better. Especially for side sleepers. I used two different mattresses with and without this system. I'd wake up barely able to walk from hip and back pain. With it? Amazing sleep, especially if you're a heavier person that's a side sleeper, hence the white softer slats for pressure points.

      @@agcouper because whenever i got a job whit those from ikea(through taskrabbit program)
      Those slats are not in the pre-determined price and its kinda getting tedious to explain it to the clients every time when it happens.
      /Ikea pays the same price for lönset and luroy assembly/
