I started watching your videos a few days ago and I'm telling you, sir, I've been in such a hair slump funk for nearly 3 years now, since age 56. Many low blows of life (my husband died in 2010 at 49 in his sleep, after 27 years together,. then 11 people I loved died in the next few years, also had to fight the IRS for my house for years, went through a lot)....had me so down I just could not care anymore and I'd always been very attentive to my self care. It just grew longer and longer until nearly to my waist but was so thin at the ends I could not do anything with it, it wouldn't hold any style so... a hair clip or braid became my daily hair uniform and I looked 80 instead of 59. Today I whacked it off at the shoulders like I had it years ago...and it feels amazing !! Your videos inspired me to do it. Thank you for helping me remember that it really does matter how your hair looks because it affects how you feel about yourself, you are so right !!

Being a hairstylist is an art form there is an actual science behind the art! Knowledge of being a hair artist goes far beyond the shears; it is a vision of the end result before the first cut is ever made. How do I know this? Because I am 54 years young and have had experience in over half of those years of having a BAD cut ! There are two different stylist , the one who is In It for the make your own hours and the money and then there is the artist who loves creating , designing and detail, that creative mind who never is quite pleased with the outcome until he or she lays down their brush or should I say shears ! Continue the passion it definitely shines thru❤️
I’m in my early 30s, and totally binging these videos. I’ve always had long hair, but lately I’ve been wanting to cut it into a fun bob or lob, but worry I’ll look silly. This is giving me confidence (and great examples) to show my hairdresser
That's awesome! Bob's are great because they have so timeless. Since the introduction of the bob shape, there's never been a time where SOME version of one hasn't been in style. If you haven't already, definitely check out my newer content. A LOT of it is about bobs. Good luck if you decide to go for one. Can't wait to hear how it turns out!
I think the key phrase here is “Layering, when done correctly.” So many hairdressers seem to struggle with this. I have super thick hair and I ask for layering and thinning out but they only thin it on the ends so it then looks thick on top and wispy on the ends.
My problem too. I have thick wavy hair and three cowlicks. When a hairdresser cuts my hair, they automatically think THINNING and chop until I end up looking like I have had my finger in a light socket. I am thinking of getting a pixie cut.
@@brisbycat2 ugh, I just got the worst haicut. The last one I got from the stylist was fine. I think that she rushed it. And maybe did it on purpose. I wont be back. That and the salon is so filthy/dusty. No one bothers to even wipe the filth off the reception desk. Ewww.
I have stick straight fine hair, and the Bob was made for my kind of hair. The hard part, is finding a stylist who knows how to do a bob correctly. I wish you were my hairdresser!!
Me too. I just went in 2 months ago for a "blunt cut" , with some volume on the top. I'm still sick to my stomach with what she did. I have very thin hair on crown and sides. She actually razor cut the sides, esch side about 3 inches different lengths. Still flat on top. Absolutely unbelievable.
Justin, I came back to rewatch this video because I’m considering a bob. At the end you talk about a goal to reach 20k subscribers. Now you are at like, 289k or something. Crazy! You guys do great work in these and the word is out! Congrats.
A shout out to hairdressers :please watch this video! There are so many hairdressers out there that do not know how to cut a proper bob. The bob has been my favorito haircut since my teen years ( yes I’ve worn the shaggy cut, perm, pixie etc as they were in fashion ) but always come back to a bob with a side swept fringe ~ it suits my thickish straight hair and I get many compliments when it’s cut well. A simple but stylish look. Just hate it when when I end up with a triangle looking bob or an out flicking wispy ends! Great videos, hello from down under 🙂
A version of the bob has been my hair style for in almost forever. Thanks for the tips. I have fine hair and finding someone who knows what yo do has been a long road.
I wish you was my hairdresser! You are a genius.I am fascinated on your knowledge of hair.My hair was cut in a lob and I started to look like a 60's throwback.More so now my hairdresser gave me a fringe which is so thick. You are amazing!
Wish I saw your video before I had mine done a few days ago. I was given a boxy bob instead of an actual graduated bob. I look like the dutch boy. Thank God hair grows lol
I'm a retired hairdresser and we didn't use flat irons back then. I ca6nt wait to watch your vid on how to use them. Thx for all your help!👏👏👏👏👏 P.S. you bet I saw your special announcement. I hope I get it! Love you!
Hi Justin, I have baby fine straight hair, and if I didn't use products and style my hair it would fall so flat which does nothing for my face. Decided that when I look like I should have white hair, I will forgo the color. Not there yet! Thank you for all your instructional content. Keep sharing. Thank you!
I’m so glad you liked it. I totally kick out over the science behind the things. I think it’s really important to not just tell people what to do but tell them why to do it. To me that makes all the difference in the world. I’m so glad you like it.
I’ve learned more from you and 3 of your videos then my entire two years at Empire. Oh I have so many questions. I wish I could spend just one day with you. Thank you for all your help!
I love that you brought the idea of body mechanics into how you’re styling- you’re a smarty darty with an underlying understanding of the entire playing field!
Great information ❤️. I absolutely love the bob. I have my hair in a short bob. It is not easy to find a hairdresser that can cut the hair into a bob style. I think some hairdressers are afraid of the bob; I think it is a difficult cut because of the angles, layering and precision. So glad I found you ❤️🇨🇦
Thank you so much for answering so many questions about hair! You ask what I (we) want to know but we don't know how to ask, your experience and talent is so appreciated. I never knew how to tell my stylist what I wanted and since watching your videos I have more confidence and the correct wording to describe what I want correctly. I am 72 yrs. young and am so happy to have found you. I look forward to watching and learning all you generously share. Stay safe and well!
I love that your vids are more like talking with a good friend as opposed to talking to a complete stranger. I love that you bring that to us, your followers! Rock on!
Awesome! Thank you for that feedback. I feel like you guys are my community, So to me it is like talking to friends. I see so many of you commenting so frequently that I feel like I know many of you. And it feels awesome so it’s pretty easy to make videos in that format. I really appreciate the support. Thanks for the feedback.
I got my hair cut into a bob today which I've done many times and thankfully my current hairdresser does well. I have straight/slightly wavy hair that is fine but not super thin, the top is flat and ends puffy, it took a long time to find a stylist who realized even though i have fine hair my ends need thinning and i need layers. Bobs suit my face well.
Love a bob. I have white grey hair and it’s getting thinner as I age but I still live a Bob.....you made a lot of sense talking about how hair grows out wide at the bottom when it’s wavy....mine has always done this. I need to find a hairdresser who understands it ...thanks for your great videos ...I love them
Love this! I have been having the hardest time recreating an AMAZING bob haircut I got a few years ago. I didn’t know how to describe what she did (and she moved away 😫) and every other stylist messes it up and I end up hating the cut. This video gave me the terminology and knowledge to ask for exactly the cut I want. THANK YOU!
Justin Hickox, You really have a delightful personality. It is wonderful watching and listening to your tips. Learning so much about hair and styles, the angles , the optical illusion hair can create. So much you teach us. Just sent my friend a share. Thank you for becoming a hairdresser, your work means so much to all of us. Brittnee
I have poker thin fine straight hair past my shoulders. I'm torn about getting a blunt bob, as I feel it would make my hair appear thicker and less scraggy . But I'm torn as I have started to develop jowls and slight marionette type lines. As I'm now middle aged. I'm worried that having a bob , just below my chin might draw attention to them.
The all-knowing UA-cam algorithm figured out I really like your videos, so it decided I should see this one. However, as I write this, it is now January of 2022 and you have 212,000 subscribers. So if you read my comment, congratulations! By watching these videos I have learned a lot more about how to communicate what I want with my stylist in a way that we both understand what I am saying. That is major - so thank you! I also love the nature walks - especially anything that involves a waterfall - so thanks for that too!
You're like an engineer for hair! Glad I found you. I'd been debating about cutting my bangs (was trying to grow them out). Watched your video about bangs and face shapes and cut mine this morning. So helpful!
(Writing from my dad's account)- All my life I had blunt Bob (as Mom wanted, I wasn't very happy though!), this year due to pandemic & no haircut, my hairs crossed shoulder length(I got really excited 🤣),and unfortunately I realised how thin n oily my hairs are( accompanied by a rather chubby square-ish face! Yuck!!!) And now I decide to revert back to my Bob( Mom, well, was-is-will be always right-o!!!😂)! I take your advice and am moving forward to take up an A-line Bob now! Thanks a bunch🤞~ love from India🧡
Wish I had found you sooner!! That was an awesome giveaway! ❤️ However, I'm so excited to follow you now! Your information about hair is by far the best I've ever had. I wish I was near Oregon and could see you for a consultation and cut/style. The suggestions you give clients are sooo good! Please, keep educating us. You help us to feel good about ourselves and that is a great feeling for us! ❤️ Keep it coming! You don't suck! 😉🤣
Honestly Justin, I subscribed a while ago and from the first video I saw, I thought „Wow! This man knows what he is talking about!“. But this video here blew my mind!!! It is soooo good. I wear a bob and I learned things I‘ve never heard of before. Thank you so much Justin, for taking your time to explain me/us in detail, funny, interesting, with all your heart. I am NOT writing this to impress you or to ingratiate me. I truly mean it❣️ Hugs and kisses, Sabine 😘
Wow Sabsa! Thank you! I know you’re saying that with an honest heartfelt approach! That’s why I appreciate it so much! I’m so glad I could help you with your bob!!!! Is there anything else you’d like to see covered in a future video?
Justin Hickox 🥰 Thanks for answering, Justin. It’s hard for me to explain my wish for a future video, because I’m German and my english is just what I learned at school 30 years ago. But I will try: Do you have any idea how to tame (my) whirls? I have a (new) big whirl in the middle of my forehead and when I want to wear my hair side parted, it always flips back. Any idea? Anyone out there with this problem? Sending greetings, Sabine 😘
2 Questions: 1) Where are you located, and 2) when is your next available appointment. Kidding some, but have never had professional salon look. And no, I’m not crazy!!
I have poker straight , baby fine hair and I love my jaw length pageboy cut.I am not adept enough to use a round brush so I do curl my ends under with a curling brush. When I first do it the curl is too much - but my hair does not hold curl at all so within a half hour at most it has softened right into how I want it to lie. Definately, the key is the haircut.
You get us!… haircuts HAVE LITERALLY BEEN HELL! I’ve gone thru several and no one gets my fine hair! Maddening! So I just don’t. Go that is. Covid hair now=long. How do I ‘interview’ a stylist?
Hello Justin, I’m approaching my 72 year old BD and I have had pretty much the same hairstyle, the bob, Mostly layered, for the past 15 +years. However with age my hair on the top of my head seems to be thinner and no matter where I go I explain to the beautician that I’d like it layered but I don’t want it to look layered and I always wind up with it looking choppy.
Love this video as I am growing my layered hair to a bob. Now I realize layers are still needed (I didn't know that!). I love this channel and your passion.
Thank you so much!!! I’m confident we will all together grow as a massive community and through that, not only will I be able to give you all value about hair, but MUCH more importantly, we will together be able to make some VERY positive changes out there for others. I have some special things planned! :)
Thank you for sharing this , I’ve had a bob before and loved it , I’m growing a pixie into a bob and right now I’m in the “hissy” fit part of growing the pixie out , because I hate my hair that short , I want a straight bob because it works style wise for me , I’ve had a straight bob before that’s what I love
I think it really depends on the hair when it comes to layering. Mine is both thin and fine and just tends to look trashed when it's layered. But a nice one-length bob usually anywhere just above my chin to just below my cheekbones (the best, in my opinion), is very nice, because it's already so light that movement isn't an issue. I hadn't thought of following the angle of my jawline, though. Thanks!!
I've had some Aveda stylists really mess up my bob with the wrong layering. I have very fine, slightly wavy hair, naturally. Luckily those grew out fast! I have an expensive stylist now, but she still seems to struggle with the correct layering! What happened to the awesome bob layering I used to get in the 90's lol?!!
I always like your videos & the pictures you show us stylists.......I have a sort of round face, maybe more like falling cheeks/jowls...... I keep my hair short with full top, somedays sticking up......I get compliments all the time‼️. I color n cut my own hair but sometimes get a friend to pop in highlights. Thanks for being thorough & giving us tips. Love it all ❣️❣️❣️ Doodie (stylist since 1971 ‼️
Hi Justin. I’ll share this video. What’s so special about you is that you read and reply to so many comments. That’s pretty rare and quite special. Sending 💖 from across the continent (Connecticut)
Thank you!! I sincerely believe that I’m nothing on social media without folks like yourself. So paying the same respect to those who show me the respect of commenting, seems like the least I can do!
Thank you Justin for your video on Bob hairstyles, love your advise , I’m trying to grow my hair but want to find a stylist that knows how to cut my hair into a Bob ❤️
Great job yet again. I particularly love your intro on this video! As a woman with fine, straight hair, I learned a lot and you're 100% on target when it comes to layers. Whenever I hear the word layers, I think "But, but... my hair is straight, fine and thin, you must be crazy!". But --- now that you've given them the blessing, you know I'll be telling my stylist "My friend Justin said..." Seriously, congratulations on the channel growing and all of your success. 5 of my friends recently subscribed and I can't help but hear the commercial in my mind (I think it was for a hair care product in fact) ... "And they tell 2 friends, and so on, and so on". So, keep up the great work Justin! You are 1 multi talented man! - Judy
@@justinhickox Hi Justin - Can you explain the difference between an inverted bob vs. an a-line bob, and which works best for various hair types? Thanks.
Hi Justin!! I just came across your video and I loved it! My hair is not pretty. It's wavy, coarse, very dry and hard to manage. I wish you lived close to me because I would get you to teach me what to do. I have subscribed to your blog but will definitely be back next Tuesday! I hope you make it to 20K!!! Have a great day.
Wow Justin! I just found your video. I love the bob cut! More than that, I love that you understand hair length and texture as to what best compliments the face shape!
Your content is outstanding. That is why you are growing. God has blessed you with skill and the ability to share with joy. Thank you. Btw. I am a hairdresser since 1982,! Keep up the great work, 😃❤️🙏🏻⭐️👍🏻✅
Really!?! Thank you! That means so much to me....seriously!!! I truly appreciate the feedback and support there. I honestly believe I play an obvious role in this growth but I feel the MUCH larger role is played by folks like you who give me your time to watch my videos. That’s a big deal to me! Thank you!
I don't know why I haven't seen this video till now but I'm so glad I did. I've been a subscriber for quite a while. I'm not a stylist but I really really enjoy your videos! You have such great advice. My question is, I have a long, usually oval, face however, due to illness and medications, I am over weight. So, now I have a long but chubby face. What type of cut would flatter my face? I don't know if I should follow your advice for a round face or for a long face. Thank you for all you do!! 😊 ❤️ 👍
Woohoooo 18 thousand!!!!... you go Justin!... it will be a piece of cake to get you to 20 thousand!.., the world needs you!!!.. much love and appreciation!!!💜💜💜💜
Your knowledge and expertise is amazing! I appreciate you so much. I love my bob, but with curly African type texture it’s so hard to keep it from that frizzy poofy look on the sides. Now I understand how to control that and have a more polished look.
Thank you Lesley! I’m definitely not perfect, I just focus on being real....at the end of the day, I’m nothing without folks like you who support me. I just want to make sure you guys always know how much I appreciate you!
You rock Justin! Thank you so much for this!!! I moved to a new home and have been through 3 stylists already. They don't know what they are doing! My hair is fine and board straight but not thin. When I want a Bob they layer the thicker side and leave the thin side of part all one length. Ugh!!!😝 Now I'm armed to find a new stylist!
Great tips, Justin! I just had a bob cut and realize why I look like a bubble! And, why I have looked like a puppy in the past! Now, I can communicate very precisely, what I want! Thanks!
Thanks for your wonderful, helpful video. My angled bob has grown so long during the pandemic and flips up on my shoulders like you said it would. I need to get a shorter Bob again. I will tell my hairdresser to thin out the bottoms only as my hair is quite thick! That makes sense! I don’t want it sticking out on the bottom. My face is slightly round, but I have high cheekbones and have lost nearly 30 lbs since Jan/21, so I think I know what length to have it cut to now. Thanks again. Great tips! Greetings 🇨🇦
I'm watching this a year later and it looks like you're well past 20, 000 subscribers. Congratulations! Bobs seem to be my go to hairstyle. I had a bob in my 69 graduation photo (although they weren't called bobs back then)and have had every style in between and now here I am at 69 with a bob.😊
That was so helpful and informative especially as I have been contemplating having a bob for a few weeks now..but not sure which length or cut to go for..I feel much more confident now about requesting the style of bob I need..thankyou so much..I love all your videos..😁
Thank you so much Sunshine! That’s really nice to hear! I put a lot of work into these videos, so feedback and support like yours means everything to me! Thanks for being awesome. :)
I am getting an under cut bob on Wednesday. I am 51. My hair does not like to behave! Lol so I need a tip. Should I make it shorter in the backend on the sides? I want a beautiful 2022 look to survive this summer! Lol peace. I want to keep that style in the future.
I know layers can be key in creating a look, but I have been poorly layered way too often. I am so nervous when they start. Mostly it's not right for my fairly straight, fine hair.
Thank you. All the tips you and your wife give have helped me style my hair. I've even received compliments, I think, because I properly applied mousse.
It really helps me to understand about having bob haircut. I love your videos and I get a lot of information from them. Thank you so much and I look forward to the next video.

Hey! Great feedback! You’re spot on. I actually see that a lot. Layering is a VERY effective way to “thin” thick hair out and create shape!
I cut my self.
My hair is long, and i think tot cut it off again. This time undercut, longer above. Its thick curly grey.
My problem too. I have thick wavy hair and three cowlicks. When a hairdresser cuts my hair, they automatically think THINNING and chop until I end up looking like I have had my finger in a light socket. I am thinking of getting a pixie cut.
Who else just got a terrible Karen haircut and is looking here to try and figure out how to fix it?
@@brisbycat2 ugh, I just got the worst haicut. The last one I got from the stylist was fine. I think that she rushed it. And maybe did it on purpose. I wont be back. That and the salon is so filthy/dusty. No one bothers to even wipe the filth off the reception desk. Ewww.
I think you need your own show! You're a natural and your energy is so good!!
I have stick straight fine hair, and the Bob was made for my kind of hair. The hard part, is finding a stylist who knows how to do a bob correctly. I wish you were my hairdresser!!
Me too!
Yep me too
Mine too!!
@@gillw8988 Me too!!
Wow, I've finally learned why I get the "Roseanne Rodanarana" look when my wavy hair grows out. Thank you so much.
Rosanadana
Love your knowledge and your personality. I love that you use your Mom, and your Wife in many of your videos ❤️
Thanks for the helpful info! Subscribed to your channel and checking out more of your videos. Great “special surprise” you included! 😊🙋🏼♀️
I'm a retired hairdresser and we didn't use flat irons back then. I ca6nt wait to watch your vid on how to use them. Thx for all your help!👏👏👏👏👏
P.S. you bet I saw your special announcement. I hope I get it! Love you!
Your a real pro and deserve millions of subscribers
Hi Justin, I have baby fine straight hair, and if I didn't use products and style my hair it would fall so flat which does nothing for my face. Decided that when I look like I should have white hair, I will forgo the color. Not there yet! Thank you for all your instructional content. Keep sharing. Thank you!
Finally! Someone who explains the techniques precisely. Not just how to do it, but also why -the study of structure and behavior-fun science!!
So glad I found you ❤️🇨🇦
Im 75..just had hair cut to bob style. My hair is natural gray silver med brown. I like it. My hair is fine with some curl. Love your site.
Thank you so much! I’m seriously happy that I could help you with that!!! I truly appreciate the feedback!
Me either!
You are the man. I love to listen to you on hair. Mistakes the best . But more round face shapes are so helpful.
In addition to being extremely helpful, you have such a likable personality - so kind, humble and fun! 😊
Thank you so much! I really truly appreciate that.
@@justinhickox great tips !
THANK YOU!
That’s awesome!!! So glad I could help! Can’t wait to hear how your next cut goes!!!
Another great instructional video. I’m going to forward this to my stylist, as it addresses some of the exact problems that I have with my hair.
Honestly Justin,
I subscribed a while ago and from the first video I saw, I thought „Wow!
I truly mean it❣️
Hugs and kisses, Sabine 😘
Wow Sabsa!
But I will try:
Do you have any idea how to tame (my) whirls? I have a (new) big whirl in the middle of my forehead and when I want to wear my hair side parted, it always flips back. Any idea? Anyone out there with this problem?
Sending greetings, Sabine 😘
@@sabsa70 perhaps you could send Justin a photo so he can see what you mean ??? Just a thought ...
I have no doubt you will get to 20,000 with no problem. Thank you for thinking of us.
Thanks!!
So glad found this channel. Haven’t had a cut since February and your tips are helping me decide what to try next with my fine hair.
Awesome! I’m so glad I could help. Thanks for the support!
This was all good info for ladies that want pin straight hair. What about us wavies & curlies that want to stay that way?
Love it all ❣️❣️❣️

Thank you! I feel pretty fortunate for sure!! I have a really awesome community here.
It is because of you! Your personality is always upbeat, fun and informative!
- Judy
Thank you so much! Yeah, the thin hair layering concern is a thing for sure! Thank you, as always, for the continued support!!!
@@justinhickox Hi Justin - Can you explain the difference between an inverted bob vs. an a-line bob, and which works best for various hair types? Thanks.

Thank you Carol! I’m so glad I can help!!! I’d love to hear any thoughts on topics you’d like to see in a future video!
Love this , I have thin hair and you are so encouraging for us !
I saw your announcement. I love watching your videos. I am just a fan not a stylist. I learn so much from you. I can’t wait to see you your vids.
Love your videos, so informative. Congrats on your 18,000 viewers and good luck on getting your 20,000.
No one has ever made me really think about a bob like this. Never did I realize how in-depth this is.
Thank you Justin.really enjoyed you sharing this information with us us. Uk 🇬🇧
Wow Justin! I just found your video. I love the bob cut! More than that, I love that you understand hair length and texture as to what best compliments the face shape!
Just watching this now and see you've reached 166k - well done! Love your videos, this is the first one I've seen from the inside of your salon
Your content is outstanding. That is why you are growing. God has blessed you with skill and the ability to share with joy. Thank you. Btw. I am a hairdresser since 1982,! Keep up the great work,

I have really enjoyed listening to you and watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us. You are a blessing! 😊
Justin, I would appreciate your recommendation of a good shampoo, hair conditioner, and hair oil. I have brittle wavy hair.

Wouldn’t THAT be amazing!!!!
Justin Hickox trust me, you will get there, easily!...
Linda Marocco well....when I do, I’m throwing a huge ass party and inviting anyone who wants to be there!
Ohh wow!!
I was thinking of getting a bob cut but never knew about these things. Now I know what do I want.
Thank you 😊
Your knowledge and expertise is amazing! I appreciate you so much. I love my bob, but with curly African type texture it’s so hard to keep it from that frizzy poofy look on the sides. Now I understand how to control that and have a more polished look.
You're so humble love watching your advice thank you always from the U.K.
Ugh!!!😝
Now I'm armed to find a new stylist!
Thanks so much for the super helpful tips! My bob is growing out and I'm trying to decide on a shape that doesn't leave the dog ears!
You’re so welcome Tammy! Thanks for checking out my video! Glad I could help! Was there any specific tips you really liked?
Do you have a video that show how to layer thin hair so it looks fuller…love your video! Thanks for sharing!
wish you could perfect my bob! everything you say about the bob is so true.
Great tips, Justin! I just had a bob cut and realize why I look like a bubble! And, why I have looked like a puppy in the past! Now, I can communicate very precisely, what I want! Thanks!
You’re a great designer, I know because I’m one but for interior/exterior design and flowers/greenery, sincerely, Carol❤️
Thank you! I really appreciate that. Always nice to hear that from another designer.
Imo the best hair tips you can find. You actually get the info you need and a great explanation on why you may want it that way. Thanks so much!

Thank you!!! My wife always says I “mansplain” things! Lol!
Justin Hickox whatever mansplain means you do it great!!!... your wife seems like she has a great sense of humor!!!!
Lol! She definitely does! Mansplaining is basically taking 20 mins to explain something that should only take 5! Lol.
Justin Hickox hahaha, I like your wife!!!!... she sounds like a hoot!!!!
New to you! You wanted to get to 20k and 1 year later let’s get you to 200K!! Congrats & I needed this video! Thank you
Thank you. I have fine thin hair grown out from the pandemic and I have been wondering about what I should do with it.
I love your introductions. You're so creative. Do you have a video on cuts for people who are losing hair?
Love the Video. You know your Hair Science. Congratulations 🥳 on your success on UA-cam Justin.
Wow! 243,000 subscribers! Congratulations, and always great videos! ❣️
I am going to try the flat iron just at the bottom, great tip!!.. thank you so much!!!
It works SO well! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
Wow, me too. 😆
Me too, age 70!
I wish my hairdresser would watch your videos. He just doesn't get what I'm telling him. I love your videos!!
From reading comments below I think we re all up for a video on what questions to ‘interview’ a potential stylist!
Love love love this video one of the most helpful videos I’ve seen for hair.
Thank you!!! I’m so glad you liked it!!! Do you have a bob? Or are you think about getting one?
I know layers can be key in creating a look, but I have been poorly layered way too often. I am so nervous when they start. Mostly it's not right for my fairly straight, fine hair.
Another wonderful teaching video! Even if I didn’t win, I’d like to know what (medium priced) flat iron you think is best.
Thank you. All the tips you and your wife give have helped me style my hair. I've even received compliments, I think, because I properly applied mousse.
That’s awesome!!! I’m so happy to hear it!!! Thanks for sharing that feedback’
It really helps me to understand about having bob haircut. I love your videos and I get a lot of information from them. Thank you so much and I look forward to the next video.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad I could help. I appreciate that support and feedback.
Do not light yourself from the side. You are brilliant.
Thank you so much! Out of curiosity, why do you feel I shouldn’t let myself in the side?
@@justinhickox Because when a person is lit from the side, all the nooks and crannies in their faces are accentuated. You should be lit from the front, preferably with natural light. If you want to add a bit of depth, you can add a couple of artificial lights at 1:30 on each side. Never light yourself from below.I love your videos.
I love how detailed you are in your videos!
Thank you Teresa! I like to over explain things! :)
