The man died knowing he was right and that's all he could ask for. Yet he went out in a blaze of fucking glory for an entire planet that laughed at his theories, fucking legend.
I WAS RIGHT!
And as an AI he will most likely be able to contact earth for the rest of eternity to tell them he was right and they were wrong.
Right now, that's how i feel about my music career. *Billionator*
I was right
And his reward is to be part of the moon for possibly forever.
10:00 The swarm detects humans but earlier destroying the remote and a phone made the swarm go away.
Exactly
If you wants to the movie or listen to the comment it stated that it needed both mechanical electrical and biological signals not just electrical.
Well kind of cheesy it did at least keep with that theme across the board. Overall it was a fun movie if nothing else.
The swarm detects a combination of lifeforms and electronics. If either of the ones doesn't exist, the swarm ignores it.
Which is kind of logical, because it means that it only attacks civilized lifeforms (threats). It ignores beings like itself, or simple animals.
True man the swarm they only attracts to electric power light by nasa
@@penttiperjantai5063if you listened it also needs electronic devices and biological matter
I hear the voices of millions of astrophysicists screaming out in unison before falling silent.
@Generation M
"I hear the voices of millions of astrophysicists screaming out in unison before falling silent."
=================
I see what you did there...
But are there millions of astrophysicists??
Haha! Awesome comment.
I'm no astrophysicist, but I am more intelligent than a mouldy sock, and even a mouldy sock would be screaming at the piss-poor attempt at 'science' in this fiction. I can't believe that someone made this tripe.
@@Gwalchgwyn You have way advanced tech, if the moon was made to seed life, it does make sense it would be doing everything it can to prevent damage to the earth...
@@mattlane2282 : Irrelevant- gravity does not work like that. Mass does not work like that. Orbital mechanics do not work like that. NOTHING works like it does in the movie. Even Manga does a better job of this.
In fact, a rocket-powered Earth being flown around like a giant spaceship is more feasible than anything in this movie. It's like it was written by a child who skipped science class.
@@Gwalchgwyn written by a child who skipped science class, but is highly imaginative, had watched some fictional stuff and probably accidentally got high with his parents' stash.
That thumbnail looked way more interesting than the actual movie.

An unfinished wank is more interesting than this movie.

nobody is talking about how those rings the humans made look identical to the rings from the game series halo
Interesting observation! It's definitely something worth noting.
Ringworld is an old scifi trope, Halo just took it and made it genocidal weapon
Fun fact: when the moon gets too close to earth, it shattered to pieces because of earth’s gravity, forming to rings made of moon dust
That's what I was thinking, but it's space technology so maybe they have hacks.
@@BravoRoxyes they hacked the laws of physics
Well the moon in this movie is a mega structure so it can't be easily destroyed and it's also created by highly advance humans
@@YouW0n this person is correct.
@@RoflCannon6 Physics and Roland Emmerich do not get along
When a galactic human civilisation that can wrap a white dwarf to make a moon, yet loses to their Ai creation. But humans from earth with technology that’s barely a century old destroyed it with EMP… hmm
The moon is another Ai?
Unfortunately common sense would eliminate many plots that storywriters consider interesting.
To be honest its already kinda difficult to come up with any realistic idea why Aliens would attack anyone for example.
@@AliothAncalagonI think for our resources they will but it depends upon how desperate they are
@@Dominique-kl1jl Thats the "problem".
Earth is one of the worst places to get resources from. Unless you already live on it obviously, which makes the logistics worthwhile.
Going to Earth as an alien to find resources is like travelling to Antarctica, because you ran out of pens and heard that the scientists there have a few ones left over.
@@AliothAncalagon True, but for the vital resource we have which they lack, it might happen
@@Dominique-kl1jl If a civilization emerges, then whatever is vital for their civilization is something they already have, otherwise it wouldn't have become vital in the first place.
But the more I think about it, I can come up with scenarios that would at least make half sense. If an emerging civilization for example happened to be ejected from their solar system in some super rare event, somehow barely survived the coldness of having no sun on their now rogue planet and would then happen to arrive here by freak accident a million years later, they might indeed decide to take over the solar system as their new home system. Actually not the worst plot ever.
Love it when, from the whole world, just one conspiracy theorist happened to know that the moon is closing in on Earth. 😅
That's how they keep brainwashing the masses.....
I like the end, really good plot. Congratulations to the person who wrote the story 👏
Thank you for your comment!

I remember seeing the first trailer for this movie. In a moment of inspiration I thought, "What if this whole movie is a lead-in to a Thundarr the Barbarian movie?" I mean how great of a twist would that be? Making a disaster movie as a prequel to sci-fi fantasy post-apocalyptic movie?
I'm glad someone else remembers that cartoon. I used to watch it on Cartoon Network while growing up in the 90's. always thought it was pretty interesting.

That’s why Elon Mush said AI is far more dangerous than nukes. He wasn’t wrong.

How did I miss such a cool film?

This is not like a small project you give up on and shrug 'oh well', this is 'give up and you kill the Earth!'
8:32 This just turned in a halo plot
this makes sense!
We tidal waving with this one
There are some interesting arguments for the moon actually being hollow. Worth googling
No one with scientific training gives them any credence. A hollow moon would orbit much further away than it currently does.
I always considered Emmerich's MOONFALL to be his true Spiritual successor to Independence Day, not that forgettable eyesore of a sequel that we got before this movie.
When I watched it I loved it

Final Fantasy 8 subplot one of these writers was a fan
The reason the humans from billions of years ago lost was probably because they were at peace for so long that they forgot what war was like and and how to fight. Plus, with an AI controlling everything, the humans would have no technology to fight back with.

Yup, the world of movies never fails to surprise us!
A Completely superior galaxy spanning human civilization that made super structures but can't defeat an AI which only takes on a form of a Swarm(literally metal mosquitos) which it created in first place but an old space program military geeks made it and sheveld it for budget reasons , absolutely makes sense

That darn A.I. is at it again
so why didnt the ai/moon make emps of their own? i mean if they can repair human tech ah whatever
so basically rokos basilisk became a reality in this universe
It's incredible to see just how much can be accomplished when we put our minds to it!
That would be one tiny white dwarf

So skynet mixed with mass effect
I don't know why that makes me sad

The immense gravity of that white dwarf should destroy the structure
So... This is "Disclosure"?? Spineless....😌
I know people thought the movie was bad, but I don't think it was ment to be a serious Scientific Movie. I was entertained, that what counts for me.
Neal Armstrong landed the moon lander when power went out for 15 seconds. They left this detail out.
When they landed in the moon, I also came in your mom. They left this part out too. Fckin government.
Well, I only had to wait 10 minutes for that payoff.

Wait, so the landed right next to their families is Colorado? I guess they took off from Texas, spent 90 minutes on the moon, then re-entered earths atmosphere on orbit back to Texas? If you know, you know. To hard to explain how an orbit works.
I’ve seen this movie
All right, who brought the Majora's Mask?
me playing solar smash be like:
If the swarm detects based on organic life inside ships why didnt it kill them even after they broke their phone and whatnot?
Idk maybe it just detected electronic and did not bother cheking for life
Actually it detects if there are both biological electricity and machine electricity. If both are present it attacks, if there is only machine or biological electricity it will leave it alone🤓
PLOT ARMOR: *ACTIVATED*
The moon would break to become like saturns rings but smaller if it gets past rochiet limit in this movie
Ok from the start of this in guessing its moon fall
This is one hell of a movie for just 21 minutes 😂😂😂😂

A concept that simply should be understood: a copy/upload of a person's consciousness will not give you a person! Your consciousness is purely a current moment understanding of your body's senses! Any "upload" would hold memories at best and not be remotely close to what an individual is.
