The dude went out CARRYING A FUCKING NUKE WITH HIS ARMS AND JETPACKED INTO AN ASTERIOD, SAVING THE WORLD. That's the most metal way to go.
He definitely made it into the history books, and surely massive statues in his honor and memory.
One word, AGREED.
In that universe, he should be up there with Stanislav Petrov.
He'll definitely be remembered for thousands of years. I mean HE SAVED HUMANITY!
@@hunterofdarkness8329 Kong helped out. Poor guy.

11:36 “why didn’t he take the escape pod and shoot the god damn kangaroo in the thing” had me laughing
dang, i didn't expect for him to actually sacrifice himself- with all of what was happening and how hard he worked to get back to earth, i thought he'd get some sort or redemption. but, i guess it ended with death, yet, also ended with him being the reason everyone's alive. rather one person die than the rest of humanity die they say.
frick you ruined the video im only 3 minutes in
@@mightyx5441 maybe dont read comments before watching the whole video? llol
I'd say sacrificing yourself for all of humanity is probably a disproportionate amount of redemption for merely being a lazy schlub.
@Jayden Playz xd
yeah y'all- please remember to fully watch the video BEFORE going to comments- i always watch the entire video before going to the comments so i wont get spoiled on what happens xD
"Not all heroes wear capes", and this applies to Yue as well. He'd rather save humanity than going back to Earth.
Because if he did return to earth there would be no humans left and he would die too by the asteroid so its a lose lose situation but if he sacrificed himself there would still be humans
Yeah, because they’re wouldn’t be an earth at all if he went back or just chilled there. Humanity would be gone, so the only way to guarantee survival of the human race and all your friends and crush. Is to sacrifice himself 😢 I feel worse for Kong tho🦘 he lost his only friend, and someone who peacefully played and coexisted with him 🦘🦘🦘 fuck all other human characters there survival is irrelevant I’m sad for Kong. Wait a minute, at the end there it shows 6 kangaroos (including kong) i don’t get how the kangaroo species was able to survive when a fifth of the world was blown into smithereens.

A really terrible movie from China.
The original story comes from korean manhwa artist search moon yu ull laugh ur ass off
Btw idk if the movie ask permission from the author
we can film a man yeeting himself into space in 4k, but can't catch supernatural events in more then 140p, and any police brutality footage is always (ironically) corrupted or lost.
@@svampebob007 I agree, but my cameraman comment was more of a joke.

Moral: Be alert of surroundings and don't lose your senses when you are engrossed into something. Other you will find yourself the last person remaining on the moon station.
Moral: If you're in a tough situation, just get your kangaroo. They will solve everything.
Moral: Simping saves the world
Simping can be dangerous but if used appropriately then it can save the world.
Moral: Always try to seduce a kangaroo when given the chance.
While the chances are ridiculously miniscule, it's funny that this advice actually has the potential to save someone's life in this exact situation
It's sad that the main character died saving the world in order to destroy the asteroid, but his sacrifice managed to save humanity from extinction.

You should also read the webtoon comic " Moon you" that this movie is based off of, it was absolutely hilarious and an emotional rollercoaster. Also they changed the ending in the movie, the comic has a different ending.
"Why didn't he took the escape pod and shoot the god damn kangaroo with the thing" is probably the funniest line I've heard from this channel 😂

This movie seems like it's based on a webtoon called Moon Yoo made by Cho Seok. Ah the memories. It was a good series.
The ending was great too
According to a quick search, this movie is indeed an adaptation of that same work.
needless to say, when i saw first few seconds of this recap, I was stoked, I absolutely adored the comic lkjsfbnKSDF
gods what a great hecking series, went from being an absolutely fantastic comedy to - gods that *ending* still gets me. It was SO hecking good♪
This needs to be seen more. That webtoon deserves the credit. I wasn't expecting for it to be adapted into a Chinese movie.
I had a couple of years in my life where pretty much all my free time was spent reading webtoons. Moon Yoo was being uploaded right in the middle of that phase and I followed it from beginning to end.
A feature length movie being made from such an absurd story is surprising, but also satisfying. Glad it got the recognition it deserved.
Please pin this comment not many people know about this fantastic webtoon.
I feel like Kong was an experiment gifted with slight human intelligence, how else would he be like how he was? Kangaroos are usually very territorial and the fact that he let Yue just live with him was an extremely weird thing!
Edit: How do I know this? I’m Australian!
Well in the video it's said that Kong was sent there as part of an experiment
I just read somewhere that this is a kids book story or something alike... So maybe to make things funnier they made that Kangaroo like that

Actually, dying from the nuclear explosion would be very quick. He would suffer only a split-second of pain.

Please everyone read the webtoon that this movie is based off of " Moon you". It had me laughing hysterically at the start to balling my eyes out at the end man, it was an emotional rollercoaster.
@@rehana3479 i think what really triggers my sobbing is those characters who are consistently funny and stupid and contagious like that with no indication of desiring to die.. then they just go… comic relief gone wrong..
This is probably the most painless death ever.

I have wicked acrophobia, and my hands were already pouring sweat just 2 minutes into the video. But seeing the shot at 2:11 of him standing on the surface (so small) looking at earth, so far away, being wiped out. Completely horrifying.
The buff Kangaroo is a reference of a real life roided out, yolked, 315-benching Kangaroo, Roger. Unfortunately he died back in like 2018. Also, he used to fold metal buckets for fun.

So apparently the asteroids destroyed the communication link between the earth and the lunar base and yet they're able to view footage of what he's doing on the lunar base. Wow.
I think what they meant was that yes they can see him but they can't upload the video to platforms like UA-cam because internet is basically useless plus nobody would use it anyway because of the intense focus on pure survival you don't have time to spend 20 hours a day on UA-cam if you are fighting for your life because of carbon monoxide flooding your base from the debris and subsequent fires
Prolly can be fixed but I don’t think the MC is a engineer or is an engineer but with diff speciality , so it’s prolly stuck on just sending signals and not receiving any.
@@justsayin2085 70 seconds ago or smth, lol i found a very recent comment
Actually, it's because the broadcaster on the moon is undamaged. So it's like both sides can receive signals but only one side can send them.
I watched so many recapped channels but this channel hit most🥰🥰🥰

Me at school while crying with my friends of laughter:
Moon Yoo is such a great manhwa that even when only a part of it is adapted, it's still a great movie.
In this movie that man should have gotten like 20 meter tall statues in the center of every country for sacrificing himself to save humanity
I was hoping once she got to the moon she found a sweet tribute to her 🥲 in Epic lost love fashion.
This man was a true hero and I cryed when he died for his sacrifice and how him and the kangaroo had to leave
This is how friendship is, theres many fights but they are relateable so they become chill
Recapped having me on the edge of my seat..
BRAVO 👏
Man, this was beautifully done!!
Ok that was the funniest one I've seen yet. You were killing it in this video.
He was the hero we needed , not the hero we deserved

It's better to watch a recap than the movie cause personally I'm too lazy to watch the full movie :)
Short and sweet
Low attention span
A lot of time these movies have a great idea and concept and ruin it in execution. So yeah these are cool
And it will save 1 hour of time on this movie
But there are some that are worth watching rather than recapping . But just SOME
They were playing this at the Regal over here. Always had a booked showing. Really good movie and when Country Roads broke out in Chinese I couldn't help loving it even more.

I know it's probably not that simple but how can the supposed last human in the universe _not_ see that there is still human life on the planet? One would think that the electric light would give him a proverbial light bulb moment as well...

Everyone else watching normally:
*Me who WAS watching normally until I saw the kangaroo and stopped watching when it was gone* :
This channel is honestly worth it, even just for the memes.
Lol someone said its not a space mission unless there's an accident
So they've got live feed on him on almost every room but they're struggling to reestablish comms with him? I don't get it. So basically, the moon base is just sending/uploading out signals but couldn't receive/download in return? Is that even a thing? Even if it is, it should have been an easy fix.
I really liked this one. I found it a lot funnier than I thought I would, but it also was surprisingly emotionally affective. I was sad about the way it ended, but it also felt like it was kind of suitable for Yue, who was kind of a lazy nobody before he got left on the moon. It goes to show that the Chinese have really come a long way with their big budget films.
