I can’t wait for season two of where in the world is Carmen Sandiego but why was there only nine episodes in season one
EDOG 1 they probably just wanted to see if people will like the show. I’m sure season 2 will have more than 13 episodes at least.

Yeah it's weird considering netflix had a 20 episode order.
I guess they just felt like they had a natural conclusion at episode 9 instead of forcing episode 10.

Can we discuss how in season one Inspector Devaxneau (Probably spelled it wrong) Fell off an at least 2 story building directly onto his car, which was severely damaged by this with a broken wind shield and busted up hood, then got right the fuck back up before rushing off to catch carmen? While It is just a cartoon no other shows of such intense survivability are seen in season one.

like, when they were at VILE, she was still pretty young. But I also get the impression that she's only a few years younger than him (5-6 at most). She might have been high school age (15-17) while he was college age (18-21). So nah, it was more platonic, as it should be. But since they both went through the (years of?) schooling and it seems little Black Sheep has been out in the world for a few years (she looks 19-20 to me)... And since Grey had his mind wiped... YES OH MY GOSH I SEE IT... they could have a really interesting story of friends-to-enemies then meeting as strangers and possibly saving him from VILE then becoming partners and finally falling in love. Except she's Carmen San Diego. Would they ever have a chance?

I loved it, it was a really good show and I got hooked into it from the begging. Sadly it has only 9 episodes so far and I finished it in 1 day

I am an OG fan of Carmen. Age telling here but I played the games, I watched the PBS game show (Rockafella rocks BTW), and tuned in for the Fox series. I love it when a kids show hits the right combination of excitement, fun, and education.
I am definitely checking out this reboot of Carmen first chance I get. Just seeing this review I will say I love the animation style. I love all the throwbacks of Player and the Chief, and even Zack and Ivy, which were TV series specific. I gotta say also that I was worried the education base wouldn't be included in the story but I'm glad I was wrong.

The series is based of the cartoon not the game show. The player was a live action sequence where Carmen and the player would taunt each other. Where two Interpol agents that were too young to actually have the job were chasing Carmen.

I loved this show. It was a nice way to see the show in a new reboot when I didn't really get to see the original as a child except in reruns I don't really remember. I binged this all of Martin Luther King day. I definitely recommend especially if you don't remember the original that well.
Carmen Sandiego was like the first computer game I played when I was a kid. I loved all the geography lessons that went along with the stories, but was bummed we never got to know who she was. Am so happy the series on Netflix is addressing this

It's possible. I cant think of any other education based character who dresses like Carmen San Diego. Her game was 'Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?' and a spin off game 'Where in Time is Carmen San Diego?' This new adaption represents the original design very well so the look and clothing is much the same.
There is still one question to answer.

Easily on of my favorite animated shows from Netflix and streaming services in general. Had me hooked from the first episodes two parter and every time a new season dropped, I was hot on it. So sad that it’s now over... hopefully we get a sequel sometime in the future. Where in the world is Carmen San Diego? 💃🏻✨🌏
I always thought that the chief from Carmen Sandiego in the game series was always stressed out because people are trying to look for Carmen Sandiego on top of that she must have had too much coffee in in the Heyday of the 90s man that was such a simpler time or maybe that was just me I don't want to give anything to be living back in the 90s again
I'm like maby I will watch this. I now know that Carmin San Diego is a beloved show. Heck I used to play the Carmin San Diego games in the 90s and early 2000s as a kid. Glad everyone likes this new reboot
Can we just appreciate and be surprised that a Latin American country that isn't Brazil or Mexico got in? (SPOILERS:It's Ecuador) It makes me really happy that Latin America can get more representation later in the series. NOW I WANT AN EPISODE ON PARAGUAY OR COLUMBIA FOR SOME REASON.

I enjoyed this series. I think Gina Rodriguez is a good choice to voice Carmen Sandiego. I enjoyed the different reimaging of various characters from the games and the tv shows. Plus the education bits were interesting and felt natural. I would definitely like to see an episode showing how Carmen met Zach and Ivy. Unlike The Magic School Bus reboot, the animation is smooth and easy to watch.
Oh and it is so good to hear Rita Moreno, the voice of Carmen from the 1994 animated series, make a cameo appearance. The symbolism of her passing the torch to Gina Rodriguez was very fitting. There was like one moment you could hear the voice of 1994 Carmen speaking.
I haven’t seen the new series yet but for those of us that grew up with the video games, the game show,and the 1995 series yeah I guess I’m showing my age, but here’s food for thought remember she Is a thief with spy capabilities. Up until this point she is been “missing”for over 30 years!
There are many stories about her…this is just one …perhaps it’s the truth… or perhaps not…

I played the computer games even though I was born in 2002, and I absolutely LOVE the spin on this series! can't wait for season 2.
I love this show, it's like a mix between kim possible and phantom their jeanne which are both parts of my childhood. I never really knew abou this franchise before though.

I'll watch before making up my mind, but I can say I don't care for the Zack and Ivy redesign, nor the raised on an island of evil bit (orphanage makes more sense). Love that they got Rita Moreno in to play what basically looks like an older Carmen. XD Based on what you've given us viewers, I'm on the fence. I'll probably treat it like I do the rest of the Carmen shows & games, all alternate universes from each other. Lol

I still think the classic 90s Carmen San Diego is unbeatable even to this day. I'll give the reboot a chance but the 90s Carmen San Diego series can never be replaced. Just like the 90s Batman series, 90s X-Men show. Some classic 90s shows are just TIME less.

I get what you said about Grey and Carmen, why should she explain their shared history. I agree with Carmen, yes they both were there but Grey did not see things from her point of view, she told him this. Grey realizes this as is told by his facial expressions, that he is not proud of things he did. As telling her story to Interpol or ACME she has no reason to trust them like she trust Grey and it would have ruined the twist at the end of the first season.

Personally I really love all the reboot attempts. Even though some of them aren't working out, it makes me glad that companies are at least attempting to restore these classic shows. I am actually hoping for a reboot of the Rescue Heroes, a classic kid show that show amazing high tech rescues involving dangerous situations, followed by a little info from the characters for kids to teach them how to survive the situation. It's a show we need back, especially with how frequent disasters happen these days.
P.S. Anyone who says the Rescue Heroes was a dumb show or anything like that deserve an upper cut to the jaw from "The Rock" himself.

The awkward chunkiness of Carmen explaining her backstory to Crackle could have easily been avoided if she'd just gone into a flashback without her telling it as a story to him, and instead have it be presented as Carmen simply reminiscing about their past together and why they split ways.
I also really wish that detective Devineaux had been developed more as a character. He was constantly at odds with detective Argent, even though she is proven to be on the right track for nearly 100% of the show, and he never has a moment where he has to acknowledge her insight, or confront the possibility that his presuppositions might be flawed. The most we get is a moment of reflection at the end where he admits to being hard edged and straight laced.

I enjoyed it. I hope next season is a lot more like the back 3 episodes because those were a lot better than the first few. Also I don’t like the side characters Zach and Ivy. There kinda unnecessary-comic relief. I know the shows made for kids but I hope next season is a little less kiddy
I have enjoyed the series so far, including how much casual menace the writers inject into the VILE faculty. I always felt on edge around Professor Maelstrom, except for that whole cufflinks joke.
Still, surprised with how much they got away with the unspoken implications surrounding "The Cleaners"

Frustrating because I'm watching it as an adult, and I want the show to dig in even more with complex relationship and character development... but I know it's made for kids. Also Zack and the Inspector Chase Davineaux really annoy me because they wrote the two white men in the show to be mostly idiotic or annoying just for comic relief. Like, it was just too over the top. But besides that, I also really did like like the Carmen/Grey dynamic. And lowkey wanted it to sail.

i looked the trailer of this show on netflix,netflix dubbed these series at greek and oh boy the voice acting is dissapointing in the greek dub.
