The difference in art style during Ekko vs Jinx fight scene is because it’s meant to represent a memory from Ekko of his past, playing with Jinx. That’s why he managed to dodge her bullets
he managed to dodge the bullets because he can rewind few seconds of time. That's his power in the game. Sure here he doesnt have his Z-Drive yet but the clock might be a prototype that works similar.
It's also meant to represent that Ekko realizes that Jinx still fights in much the same way as Powder. He's essentially analyzing their moves as kids and making his strategy around that, it's how his mind works. But seeing that she still fights like Powder, I think that's why he hesitates to end the fight and hurt her more. Plus, at the end of the fight, Jinx's eyes are grey. That hadn't been the case since she was Powder.
@@Pilek01 That's not what happens in the show. Stylistically, it plays out like a pseudo z-drive but it's really just Ekko remembering the past and using it to inform the present fight. It also explains why rather than leaping at the end, he dodges right first before lunging, catching Jinx off guard so her aim is off. The watch is just a watch. At least that's my take from what I saw.
Silco genuinely loves Jinx as his own child, the best way that is portrayed in this episode is at the start, he has these fuck off huge henchman he could of asked them to help Jinx, but no, he doesn't trust anyone with her life like that. There are some seriously fine and amazing details in all episodes from 4+ that shows how much he loves her as a his own family.

Little secret nuggets: 1) As a child, Mel's clothes have the Solari symbol on her chest (Leona) so her family could possibly be from another region that was assimilated into Noxus. 2) The red portrait above Mel's bed is a symbol of the execution she witnessed. Vi uses Vault Breaker (short dash) and Denting Blow. 10) Easily missed in the last scene you can see Jinx (with pink eyes) sitting in the left background behind Cait.

There are a few really good breakdown videos on the jinx vs ekko fight. The short version of it is that: 1. At the start of the fight ekko symbolises the game they used to play with the stopwatch and jinx agrees 2. Ekko remembers how powder/jinx plays and how he has to move to outplay her 3. Ekko remembering powder/jinx in that way makes him hesitate when he's about to finish her off 4. This is also all an omagh to ekkos time rewind ability from the games. Hope that explains a bit 😊
and the way jinx lets the bomb go right next to her face without trying to escape shows her suicidal tendencies and how she fights in a way where she doesn’t care if she dies
The bomb didn't sprain Ekko's ankle, jumping off the bridge did. Heimerdinger runs up on him just underneath the bridge from last episode, where he hasn't moved to retrieve his hoverboard, so it's implied he jumped off to escape the blast.
one of my headcanons (this isnt confirmed in the show at all) is that ekko tried to kick the bomb away to save himself and powder and thats why jinx didnt just straight up die (we've seen how damaging those bombs are in the opening of episode 4, one was able to take out a firelight while the firelights have pretty heavy armor which can be seen when marcus shoots ekko, the bullet doesnt pass through at all so its pretty obvious their armor is heavy, so her bombs being able to one shot the firelights means it would definitely be able to kill jinx then and there but it doesnt) which is why ekko only had a sprained leg (while attempting to kick the bomb away) and jinx lived
10:17 I really don’t know how to react when VI says “Her name is Jinx” and without hesitation. She truly cares about Powder. Meanwhile, she separate Powder from Jinx whom she think they are different people. It really hurts me cuz I finally understand what Jinx means in the final episode😢 16:36 btw I didn’t notice her when I first watched ep 8.
He's got an Asian accent. Since I've listened to plenty of Asian people talk English like that, I didn't have any issue understanding. I didn't realize the accent was that thick for some people. I got to these reactions late, but I'm finally caught up and can't wait for the finale. Watching Joey's reaction to this show has opened my eyes to some details I missed on my watching.
The fight with Vi and Jayce also does a really great example of showcasing their differences. Vi is clean and clinical, all of her attacks are neat, and she doesn't drop her guard. Jayce on the other hand, having never fought before most likely gets cut, and his swings are big amd wide, leaving him wide open a lot of the time
The way the Ekko and jinx fight plays out is a nod to Ekko's in-game ultimate that allows him to jump back in time. In the initial sequence, Ekko got shot by Jinx, then after the rewind, he's able to dodge that and get the jump on Jinx. That bit threw me for a loop the first time I saw it.
Now that i think about it, in the intro we can see almost what happened at the end of act 3 but now changed. We see jinx laying on the floor and vi distant from her. In act 3, when she saw silco going towards her she tried to stop him but got caught, now that she's free to do it, she decides not to, leaving her fr this time. 😢
That's because Vi had already fought with Sevika, who told her Jinx was like Silco's daughter now. She noticed how he picked her up himself and made the choice not to interfere with Jinx's found family...
The Ekko and Jinx fight and the first part with the flash backs was actually Ekko’s first attempt at attacking Jinx. He gets hit, and then rewinds time. It was an artistic choice
I'm kinda late responding here. But the animated fight between Ekko and Powder at the end to episode 7 took place inside Ekko's head. It was him thinking ahead about how the fight would go before he even initiated it and how he might lose to her. The fact that he thought of everything up to the point where he had the power to kill her and then still lost to the grenade is what eventually leads Ekko to take things further (time manipulation). If you've ever watched the league of legends cinematic trailer "Ekko: Seconds", Ekko is doing the exact same thing in that trailer, except he's in his final form there and he can reverse time whenever he fails, and try again.
I don't know if you noticed Jinx behind Cait in that last scene Joey but if you didn't go back and look at the very right side of the screen for pure creepypasta XD
