After we filmed this, I had to toss on the head gear and give it a try. Flo was the perfect person to spar with for the first time. I can't wait to try it again.
Just having had my first sparring session with guys that are much more experienced than me with like medium intensity my tip would totally be to focus on your middle distance game and drilling your high guard into your habits. As a relatively taller guy I've always been encouraged by my trainer to keep everything long and work from the outside, but then on the sparring day I realised almost everyone there was taller than me and had more reach and the guys who didn't have this advantage were just good at cutting the distance (and the fact that the space was rather packed and I frequently found myself in the position, where I didn't have enough space to angle off didn't help),so eventually I just ended up in a situation I wasn't prepared for and instinctively putting up my high guard in the wrong way (you know the one that leaves you vulnerable to the uppercuts),then having to readjust once I realised it. The things that helped me not look as bad (altho still not great) were my feints and head movement,so definitely focus on that as well

I wonder why ur channel still didn't burst out... U have perfect trainers.. good videos and cool shooting too...
Superb
My first spar was just frustrating because I went up against someone with way more experience, but I'm determined to spar again.
You got this man!
Lol same
thanks! 🥊🤟
This is dope
0:35 is "barring" another way to say "sparring"?
Great advice!
Thanks 😊
Always!!
❤️ty
Pffft. Don’t need a professional to watch me spar. All I did was get headbutt and then dislocate my shoulder.
