@@Kayleeorsmthn Dolly Parton gave Whitney her blessings to record her song and she said that Whitney performed it better than she could have ever imagined it done and that she was blown away by the result. Dolly used part of the royalties she's received from Whitney's version to build her corporation building and office, and she refers to it as "the house that Whitney built". Yes, we know Dolly originally wrote and recorded it in honor of Porter Wagoner.
I think this may be her most "vocally impressive" cover (I'm not entirely sure of what I mean by that, but I guess it has some of everything: range, power, finesse, you name it). I may be burned at the stake for this (though maybe not here, on her page where all of her adoring fans are ;) ), but I honestly think it's about as good as Whitney's. Yeah I said it! I'm admittedly biased towards Christina, but I imagine I'm not the only one who feels this way about it :) Still like "In Christ Alone" best, but this is absolutely a favorite!
The "And i" in the refrain is incredible. And 1.7 million views, yet only 24 comments (so far)? Man, views like in the later days, number of comments like in the early stages of her career.
💚 \|/ 💚 FrandsFOREVER. Manche dachten zuerst - warum stellt sie denn den originalen Song hier rein? 😄 Nein, das ist ihr Cover 🥰 We always love you, Christina!
I still can't fathom out how we all lost this lovely, talented girl 😔
I can't watch to Christina speaking, listen to her singing, without tears come to my eyes.

i just couldn’t help but cry, she was so amazing… will always miss you
Amazing cover I don't think there's anything she could have done to make it better. It was perfect in every way. We miss you Christina 💕
one of a kind voice. With a heart of gold. Beautiful soul.
omg thank you for re-uploading this cover
This is perfection! Whitney would be so proud
You are amazing Christina Grimmie, and you will always live on.
Her voice makes me cry
The two legend in the world of singing. Both my favorite. 💛💛💛
OMG OMG OMG. I love this and I am still missing her.
Two singers gone too early
Don't worry, they're both touring together in heaven.💚

Christina is the only other person that does justice to this version. Such a talent lost to the world. 😔😢

This isn’t Whitney’s song btw
It was originally Dolly's but even she admitted Whitney made it famous, and it became her song. She sang it better than Dolly.
