i promise you if Rock/Metal singers start singing pop the pop guys will be in trouble. These guys's vocal range and power is unmatched!! Well done man, this is AMAZING!!
I love this song and have done some attempts to cover it myself (not as good as this one obviously). But what I missed in this cover is 1. the build-up at beginning, this cover started out too big imo. 2. Those high notes in the end were too raw for me. Based on the rest of the song, Id guess that this man can hit those notes with his head voice.
@@remco416 I guess that's the difference between a pop version, country version, and rock version. In most rock songs, those dynamics are far more subtle.

for people seeing erik for the first time, he's not just some 'young gentleman'. he won swedish idol more than a decade ago and was recently the lead singer for skid row. you have to be absolutely freakishly talented to measure up to sebastian bach, and erik does it easily. i'm not surprised he nailed this song - he is capable of any song he wants.

This guy from my country Sweden has been a lead singer for many many years in two different big rock bands, and now he was forced to quitting Skid Row because of his health and starts doing videos like this instead, because his health does not aloud him of touring anymore

Rock singers don’t always get the same credit as mainstream pop singers. But Erik is absolutely insane. One of the best vocals ever. He was also awesome in H.E.A.T
God given talent. I wish I'd had this version and would've had it played at my son's celebration of life. Touches my heart more than Whitney's version or Dolly's original ever did. Greatness rarely happens in any remake of a song, but twice for this one. Phenomenal

He was amazing in New Horizon too!! I am also Swedish as Erik is. I have followed him ever since he participated in the Swedish competition "Idol", which he also won in 2009. I met him when he was on the "Idol tour" together with the guy who came second in the competition. Erik was incredibly nice then too 🤘🏻😎❤️🔥

Take notice he's singing in the original key! Whitney, rest her soul, was a mezzosoprano, so this guy has to be a lyrical tenor or tenor ligero. And it is still should be a challenge, but it sounds so effortless! Omg now he does the key change just as Whitney, I was not prepared. Even though he is belting all the time it sounds terrific!!!
