I found this video and your channel yesterday, after I had ordered this monitor. The monitor arrived today and for me (photo editing), it's spectacular. Just the right size and pixel density to use comfortably. This video was not only informative as to the monitor, but was a great introduction to color management. I enjoyed the story (and the lighting) at the beginning so much, that I watched the intro again. Great content and presentation. Thank you. (just subscribed)

I bought the ProArt 329C and came here to see some one talk about ProArt monitors. As a professional photographer myself, I got a big surprise to listen to a man express his passion for the art and help those who are interested to also embrace it. I love the way you use story telling to unveil the techniques involved. Its a long journey and and every aspect has a story to it. Thank you very much indeed for sharing a part of your story.

How wonderful. I just got the ProArt Pa248qv, smaller monitor that fits the space available and I am still learning about it. But you reminded me of my first camera - A Kodak Brownie Holiday. And my first monitor. I think it may have been as large as 12" and had all the colors you could want.... as long a they were amber and black. We've come a long way. Thanks for your help in the journey.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I shooting and scanning 8X10 film in my youth and later gave color management seminars for Apple computers. This monitor is not for me, but I loved the intro. I started shooting color film at age 12 in 1981 and was an early adopter of digital at age 23. I started with Photoshop 2.5 & an 18,000 dollar, 3.24 megapixel Kodak camera around 1991. A lack of understanding of color management was a big issue early on in the transition to digital and amazingly many of the issues are still prevalent today. I was the Tech Editor of the Universal Digital Imaging Guidelines which established digital color standards for the photography industry. The guidelines have been updated and reposted as ASMP's Digital Photography Guide. This guide will help your viewers learn about color management, settings for profiling monitors, print processes, etc.

    Hello Pixel Village!
I've recently purchased an Asus Proart PA278QV monitor, which has multiple presets like standard, srgb, and rec 709. I purchased this monitor mainly for photo editing. I noticed that the standard mode and srgb mode have totally different lighting conditions. Which mode should I use for photo editing for online content? Are all those modes calibrated? I don't have any color calibration tools.

Great Video! I learned analog photography and have basically been stumbling though the digital age and have actually managed to have my work published in several now dead surf magazines. I want to start fresh and learn how to produce accurate color because like you said without color calibration what you see is not what you get. I want to be able to produce repeatable accurate results so I just purchased the 24” version of this monitor and a Mac Mini with the M1 chip. A video showing how to use photoshop color profiles with that monitor would be fantastic I think. The story/ background was fantastic, subbed, liked, and thank you from California!

@@BhaskarNatarajan8055 Thank you! I am connected with HDMI. Should I use the other included cable? Coming from being an older MacBook user I am happy so far. I have the 24in version of the ProArt monitor and so far it is amazing! As far as the Thunderbolt 3(USB C?) port connection goes, I am ignorant as to how previous iterations worked so I can't provide you any valuable feedback. I tried connecting a brand new WD hdd with the included USB C cable which I assumed was Thunderbolt compatible without success. Absolutely nothing happened when connected that way. with the supplied to dongle to the large USB the HDD worked just fine albeit slow.
