Btw, I love Sigma lenses (I own two). Best bang for the buck imho. But the in-camera and software enhancements that Sony lenses offer do make them stand out.
the shot with the kiddo climbing and wifey looking away.. wow... at 3:42. if that shot won't sell this lens - nothing will :)))) I'm shopping for one so cannot wait to hear your final verdict at the end haha. great video
I bought my 24 GM used for the price of the sigma. E Mount it’s getting even better with so much more options to choose from. In the real world nobody will tell the difference between these two lenses.
The Sony seemed to have more contrast rather than acuity - the Sigma close-ups were sharper than I expected, yet the overall image wide-open looked slightly clearer from Sony. However, the Sigma bokeh was much less distracting overall.
For focus breathing I feel like maybe I could edit that out in post? The only time that would be an issue would be during live streaming where you can’t edit on the fly. But even then I could just go in and make my video cropped to begin with right? And since it’s 4K I won’t really be losing anything.
Which one is better for close up product videography using A7C? Does it really even matter at that point? Can I achieve the same thing with a ZVe10 with a Sigma 16 at that point?
I don't like Sony colors straight from camera but u fix them later... and I like vivid colors that u make.. how do u fix them?? Which program and what tools??
I have and love my Sony 24mm 1.4 for weddings. The main issue is the purple fringing around couples when backlit. It's pretty bad! Do you know how the Sigma is with regards to that?
Hi, thank you very much for your review. I have a question for you please: With which lens did you shoot your review (in-room review above)? I like the color very much. Thanks
I didn’t know I liked the 24mm fov until I got the Sony 24mm f/1.4 GM . I have several GM and G Sony lenses and a couple Sigma i Series. I have to force myself not to grab the Sony 24 /1.4 GM . I shoot the 24 so much I just got the Sony 28 f/1.8 G to try to get away from that fov but keep a similar one . I have the 35 mm f/1.4 GM on now and just can’t get it and want to go put on the 24 or 28. I love the 28mm fov and purchased the Sigma 28mm Art f/1.4 some time back . I love that lens but I was finding it a bit bulky for video and had to keep using that phenomenal Sony 24mm f/1.4 GM .
I love that Sigma has almost matched the amazing qualities of GM lenses: small, sharp and fast AF. I would love a Sigma 50mm 1.2 that wasn't as expensive as the GM.
I'd love too see that too, even if the 35mm 1.2 is huge, the details amount is huge too. And now their lenses are fully weather sealed and still solid as usual
Hi there peers! Love this content but some people has told me lens that are not originals start to loose contact or automatical focus as time goes by, what u think? Should i buy this Sigma or Sony? Thanks all ❤
I have the Sony 24mm 1.4 GM, still the best 24mm Lens you can get right now, I do wish for a more compact 24mm, fx if Voigtländer would make a 24mm 2.0 APO-Lanthar Lens I am the first buyer of it ! I will not have a Lens without a REAL aperture ring.
Any camera of that caliber is far better than any phone camera. I use my Samsung Note 9 for quick and dirty photos of people, and I don't care what the quality is.
Based on your example video of the Sigma 24 1.4, that lens barely breathes at all. Maybe you misunderstand what focus breathing means? It's not a matter of focus jumping but changes in field of view!
Thanks this was the head to head comparison I was looking for! I only miss the focus speed and accuracy in low light. Some third party lenses struggle in low light compared to native lenses.
3:41 is such a great composition, love the dof play
Thanks dude!
0:49 Best humble brag I've seen in a while tbh
It was a clean picture and really shows what a 24mm can do with two people in the frame. Loved it.

pears vs apples, new vs new price, or used vs used price
Oh wow. Any recommendations on where to look for used lenses? And what’s the likelihood of used lenses being bad? I’m new to cameras.
I would love if Sony or Sigma would produce a 28 f1.4! For me the best wide prime (instead of using two primes: 24 and 35)!
You should take a look At the VILTROX PRO 27MM F/1.2! It Goes toes to toes with the sony 24mm F/1.2 and the viltrox is way Better in low light.
@@henrykernodle Will not work, the Viltrox 27 f1.2 is a lens calculated for APS-C-sensors not for fullframe.
Great video as always! I am a Sigma fan(!) and cannot wait for Sigma to release their version of the 50 1.2
I would buy this in a second. No good 50mm options aside from the Sony GM.
@@yanielacosta9079 Yes you are right! I use my Sigma 30 1.4 in crop mode when I am after a 50mm look :)
Such a beautiful picture. Big respect!

Sigma lens ❤️❤️❤️
What about the camera? Would we noticed a bigger difference between the lenses with a more lower end camera?
Love the look and feel of GMASTER!! ONLY SONY FOR ME TOO!
Haha #teamsony assemble!!!
😁😁

I just use Lightroom Classic with my own preset called Magicadabra - store.magicweddingphotographer.com

I personally haven’t noticed that on my GM, at least not to the point it bothers me. They both seem to have very similar level of CA
I feel same issue in 24mm g master more visible compare to other

you realise it will be huge :) the 35mm 1.2 is huge, i would use it all day if it was like the 50mm gm

A7C with sigma is still better than iPhone 13 Pro though right?

If you have to ask this question, you absolutely do not need anything other than a smartphone to do whatever it is you're doing.
i got the sony 24mm lens this week. Strangely i hear the aperture blades make noise when i change aperture . Is this normal? Do you have this too?

I'd get the Sony for the size and image quality and faster auto focus.
Size is a big deciding factor for many! 🔥
@@MagicWeddingPhotographer yes, and also for photographers!
@@MagicWeddingPhotographer that’s what she said!
I see this everywhere the new sigma 24mm vs gm, all i can say is buy the GM Second Hand
Fair enough!
Any tips on the best way to go about that?

Sigma for video, Sony for photo
I have a 55mm and I'm in doubt between 35mm gm or 24mm. Which do you prefer? thanks!
Sigma FTW.
Usually, I don't watch videos from anyone wearing a baseball hat, but your video and presentation style was OK.
