He's not running a martyrdom build, you can tell by the lack of wound curios. Also its probably not a solo build considering that he's running a support ability, which makes it more impressive.

I soloed a Beast of Nurgle and 1.5 hordes as a psyker on Heresy last night after the rest of the team died, but that feels like nothing to this.

Once it happened the same, we all died in auric in a middle of the mission, and this ogryn survived for 10 minutes straight totally alone against multiple hordes of enemies and a chaos spawn. We were bamboozled, it was like watching the emperor himself.

I feel like it's even more impressive when it's an ogryn, so hard to dodge with that huge hit box

What I did not get was why he did not simply... relog, instead of leaving for good. That spawns you back in all the time.

If you die, you can cut your internet to instant revive, as it will spawn a bot on dc and let you take control when you re-join. Very cheesy, but when spawns are bugged i believe it is fair game to do it.

I like to imagine the crew of the Mourningstar all gathered around the Mission Terminal map with a live feed of the events, watching in awe as they witness a Zealot channeling the power of the God Emperor Himself.
Apparently, this Bug where people are spawned in the very start of this level happens quite often. This has happened to me once before, and it was another freakin' legendary Zealot that managed to pull this shit through, and solo the final part..
xD hopefully they'll fix the respawn bug!
With an adrenaline rush like that, dude will probably never feel the same again.
I love moments in games like this where your the last one standing fighting to resurrect the rest of your team, feels so good when you pull it off too and the messages from your team cheering you on :P

Turns out when you know the game mechanics, you test out your builds, and you build skill to play with, instead of listening to absolutely clueless redditors or virtually every utterly clueless youtuber, you get obscenely effective builds and players that can get really, really goddamn good at the game as a result of having a build that _works_. Great job. Nice work. I know how rough that is to need to go into hypermode.
While I wouldn't necessarily say that every youtuber and redditor is totally clueless, at the same time I fully agree with the notion that actually testing and tweaking it _for yourself_ is what truly gets you somewhere. Cause well, everybody's got a different playstyle, so different skills would complement their capabilities 'n stuff.

These are the moments that keep me in missions even when the sh*t hits the fan hard.
I've been witness to a couple moments like this before & even when they've ended in tragic deaths, it's always been an absolute blast to watch. Stressful AF though when its all up to you. 😂❤

Having experience being that guy in the party, $100 says he was high enough he probably didn't know he was completely alone for the first 2 minutes, then his adrenal gland secreted all over itself. That was beatiful to watch!

Damnnation Twins Assassination. Im playing as a Psyker and my whole team is down or dead. I survived for 4 minutes straight by timing slides, popping shields to deal with the 5 maulers chasing me, and throwing void blasts at the gun twin. Clutch of the century

I swear, this game has so much potential! If only there was more to do maybe we'd see some greater retention.
Don't get me wrong, SOME content drought is great for the long-term health of the game and we've seen some great steps in the right direction with- for example- the class reworks, but I simply do not think it is enough. Darktide could probably benefit a lot from things such as seasonal content or some kind of periodic updates or content releases.
Maybe they could even do something akin to the Helldivers' global campaign where the entire player-base contributes to war against chaos on Atoma. Especially with things like specific global milestones that might unlock new areas or change mission modifiers.

For future reference, if you're ever either (1) downed where someone can't save you (e.g. netted and everyone else already dropped down a ledge) or (2) if you respawn somewhere you can't get rezzed, there's actually a "work-around". If you close the game, your bot will teleport back to the other players. Then when you relaunch the game, you'll get a prompt to reconnect to the match you got "disconnected" from. When you rejoin, you're back with the squad because that's where your bot ended up after teleporting.
Obviously, there's no point in doing this towards the end of the match, and if you the match finishes before you rejoin you don't get any credit. If it's early in a match though, I've found it to be useful (especially with friends).

Moments like this are what we play horde games for. That amazing feeling of being the rock fighting against the tides, mowing down enemies from all directions in a last-ditch attempt to save the mission and your team members.
Zealots are just built different. Like literally. Fatshark made them so OP. Someone must love this class over there.
Had a similar experience. Team comp wasn't working together very well, (I.E. Everyone had gone down multiple times within 5ish minutes). Low and behold, just me, my flamer, and eviscerator pulling off the only clutch and saving the rescuing the team. It felt like forever, (the only time a pve game had me shaking) got mad praise from the team. Just for one guy to INSIST on grabbing a grimoire, ultimately doom us.
The grimoires and scriptures are a scam!
when i play Zealot i almost always end up being the last one alive, but i managed only once to clutch a triple rescue, the rest i just died :))))

You won't get cool clips like this but when you get spawned in the wrong area, close the game. When you start it up again it will ask it you want to reconnect to the game you were disconnected from, click ok and you be spawned in the right area.
I had to do this once and it worked. Just be sure not choose quit match or you won't be able to reconnect.

I've had the occasional comeback save where the team was downed. But never for that long, and not Auric!
I play this game only for these moments. Can't say i survived for 10 minutes but clutching solo for a minute or two with friends in discord is the best feeling in the world.

Next time, youi can just alt f4 and you can launch the game and reconnect just fine next time, just so the other guy doesnt miss out again

This. THIS is what i wish to aspire as when playing zealot, yes i play it because why not play a mainly first person shooter as some dumb dude screaming about his god with a knife against horses of enemies?

I legit have a zealot loadout inspired by Alaric in this video.
It's actually *really* good at crowd clear. Only really struggles with multiple crushers or ragers in your face.
If your spawn bugs out like this again, disconnect via ethernet/wifi, and just reconnect. It should spawn you in the right area

It's the "Light's Out" mission modifier, it rarely shows up, but it's one of my favorite modifiers. There's basically no electrical light sources, except for some things like candles, lava, player-made light sources. It's super neat!
It's also usually paired up with the waves of specialists + monstrous specialists modifiers, also my favorites!
First time I ran a light's out mission back when the game came out, I think I had 4 daemonhosts in one map and it was super easy to trigger them because of the darkness LOL. Made for excellent jumpscares

I had similar achievement as an Ogryn just not on the same difficulty. My whole team went down in the rod room so I had to survive for a bit until they could be rescued. Then I put my back to the corner near them and planted my shield, when I saw a decent opening I chucked a cluster grenade box to stun enemies so I could get one of my teammates up and the rest followed soon after. We eventually made it out of the room and finished the mission.
That's awesome! Shield Ogryn is so good for tanking mobs haha

He is truly a legend, he used the choir ability so skillfully. My friend attempted to copy his build, but I'm not sure how close he got to it. Alaric might've been running a crit CDR reduction build for faster choir ability, since he only had 2 wounds in the auric mission. I wanna try it too

@@petofthedeath3627 Judging by the gameplay, he didn't take the bleed on crit talent, and at the top he went middle tree for the fire grenade. I can't tell what aura he's running, but he didn't take the immunity to stun from melee attacks from "thy wrath be swift". I don't know if he ever procced "until death/holy revenant", since we can't see his health in spectator mode. I never saw "shield of contempt" proc, since it triggers a green screen effect when you get hit and it's off of cooldown. Obviously he took chorus for his main ability. He didn't take the martyrdom keystone, since he only has 2 wounds, so I can't tell what keystone he did take, but I'd think he'd take blazing piety, since it synergizes well with the eviscerator

So also I've been playing deep rock galactic and we literally had a similar game last night. Everyone kept going down and getting healed and we all took turns dieing and running around and healing. Hazard 4 with a prospector and 2 lithophage meteor and 3 or 4 patrol bots. We survived. I got to the extraction luckily and we won. Insane. Literally just like this but like maybe a bit longer. We rocked and stoned buddy...lemme tell ya
being stoned af and playing this game unlocks a primal part of your brain. Hyper focused on slaughter and everything else slips away. Idk if that would make me a khorne or slaanesh follower lol
It's always a fun time playing with people who are drunk, stoned, or both. They're always chill and make missions fun haha

well if you see a psyker with the black hood with black glasses, you know he has soloed a boss on 2nd highest diff ^^

Auric is very difficult, haha. I usually play on heresy and malice as well

If the game ever respawns you at the beginning, just alt-f4 and rejoin. It will usually fix the bug.
Pretty much why Zealots my favourite class. I havent yet seen a vet, psyker or ogryn be able to carry a match to the extent Zealots can.

ogryn is despicably easy to carry even on auric my brother, haven't played psyker much (ogryn is life) recently, but they're just so overtuned if you do bad it's just a reflection of you skill
