Defendant has gotten away with a lot of bullshit by being the loudest in the room and it shows, he can't control himself in front of the judge. Aggressive and loud is his solution for everything.
as soon as the defendant smiled that big grin when she asked who broke the door, i knew it was the defendant who did it trying to pin it on the plaintiff
That guy has a temper AND zero willingness to take responsibility for anything. He goes through life believing things are the way he says they are, and he'll bully anyone who disagrees until he gets his way, or ends up on JJ.
Landlords always say tenants are nasty or don't pay rent, this particular landlord has anger issues and is 10x worse in his home. This why tenants also need to make sure not to make themselves too comfortable
the defendent comes across as a very aggressive and very unpleasant man. am sure JJ sees it the same way. He seems out of control and has serious anger issues. Also he is a very big man.
nobody is bullet proof. dude should see a therapist or smoke some weed...something....or he is eventually going to come unglued on the wrong one having a bad day and....yeah big boy gonna be on the news that day...
The Defendant talks loud, fast and aggressive. He's a hot head and the Plaintiff should thank his lucky stars he doesn't live there anymore. Unsafe for him and his children. When someone has too many rules, they just want to control and dominate.
I’ve seen her do this every once in awhile. Usually the person is almost coming unhinged and think she realizes trying to calm them down is an exercise in futility. She knows her customers, lets them blow off steam then rules against them. Doesn’t happen alot but it does happen. To me, this means she’s done, isn’t even going to bother.
She let him on purpose b/c the defendant was doing such a good job of destroying his position in the case. The rues of war dictate, when someone is busy destroying themselves let them.
as cool and smooth as Byrd is in his mind i know he said "if you don't get your ass back behind the plaintiffs table you better before i cut loose homeboy" 😂😭🤣
The defendant can barely control his irritation and anger that good old JJ is taking control he’s a bully who isn’t used to that, you can see how is nostrils are flared I was waiting for the steam to come out , if JJ gives a judgement in the plaintiffs favour he will be a nightmare to get it from him
Defendant is a bit of a hot head. He was on the edge of losing it right in the courtroom. Yep, he did that to his own door. No one else. Plaintiff mos-def did not manage to do that amount of damage to that door. WOW And defendant also locked him out, which is illegal. His denial over that was when he first started to lose control of him. Throwing papers around and spit flying outta his mouth. Yikes.
I think the plaintiff should have sued for emotional distress. At least another $500. The landlord is clearly unhinged and because of that, the plaintiff was arrested and locked out. I commend the bestfriend for trying to calm him down infront of his son. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
although the defendant was very aggressive he did make a valid point at the end because if the door had been broken on the 15th, there is no reason why you would’ve been locked out because it looked like that door is off the hinges
He’s renting a room in the defendant’s house not a house. The defendant lives there himself. If the lease says no overnight visitors, you can be evicted if you have overnight visitors. So yes, the landlord can tell you who you can or cannot have over but it needs to be stated in the lease.
@@jpbaley2016 But he hadn't made that rule before. You can't just change the rules like he tried to do. The tenant has to agree to any change. This tenant said no as was his right to.
Two Important Points: If the defendant broke the door (on the 15th) - and it currently CANNOT stay closed - how was the plaintiff locked out. Not to mention the video the plaintiff showed as evidence shows a heated argument - but no damage being done to the door. HENCE why Judge Judy states the defense can refile the claim after providing an estimate.... The only reason the plaintiff won was NOT because he was locked out (the defense has evidence that his code was intact and the front door was open), it's because you cannot modify the lease unless all parties sign. The plaintiff never signed.
You know... whenever a person comes along flawlessly polite, with their 3 piece suit, legal council, police reports and a carefully staged video... I wonder just what they were doing living in a student flop house, renting a room with 3 other men. When their demeanour does not match their life circumstances, I don't trust anything they say.
All of you saying defendant is too aggressive, has a bad temper etc. you have obviously never been a landlord. Tenants can make even the nicest Landlord on earth lose their mind and make him act in a way thats out of character.
I confess, I have the bad habit of talking over people and interrupting (it was the only way to get a word in edgewise with my family as I grew up) and the defendant was driving ME nuts with his cutting JJ off! Yeesh!🙄
