Hey, yup you are right. That tribe is called mathangs. There are couple of books published which summarize Lord Hanuman's words if wisdom. That book is called Immortal Talks. I struggled to understand n digest the content of the first book. It's not for everyone. But why is happening in srilanka is my doubt. I'm sure Janakiram will deep dive into this topic one day soon. As on today I don't know if janakiram made video on this but as per Bhagavatham when Krishna came to this world, samudrudu went back by few yojanams and Dwaraka was built. When Krishna got niryanam, at the end of dwapara yugam, samudrudu came back to original place. This is what is proved scientists recently that Dwaraka Nagaram is in sea under water
Hi Janakiram & Team, You made a story about Ravana lanka with lots of references and measurements. That video was really informative and interesting. Thanks to you all. Interesting things are the references and measurements in that video. I thought of sending in a mail, but I did not get one. I have recently visited Murudeshwar and Gokarna in Karnataka. As per the stalapurana or the story which we know from Ramayanam or about Ravana, he has received Atma lingam from lord shiva and that was placed on land in Gokarna. The important fact here is, he has moved to go home starting from Murudeshwar, when he reached Gokarna (78 km approximately), he need to do Sandhyavandanam and he has asked a shepherd to hold that Siva lingam, and that boy (Vinayaka) placed it on earth in Gokarna. Though I knew this story for a long time, today I was thinking in this way and trying. Here, Ravana is going home towards Gujarat in our present map through western ghats or coastal areas. There might be some references in Valmiki ramayana about lanka, but my point here is "why should we take the reference of Rameswaram to measure or to identify Lanka. Lord Rama came to Rameswaram and he put a saitaka lingam there which has become a famous temple now. After searching, Rama might have moved towards the western ghats to find Lanka. I am not sure how to access satellite pictures, but whatever is available in google, from the basic knowledge, I understand that Lanka must be on the left hand side of our India map, which was merged into the Sea like Dwaraka. If not merged, geographically due to the movement of the plateaus that Island might have merged into another continent where it can not be identified. Conclusion: Apart from what you said taking Rameswaram as reference, and measured as per Valmiki Ramayanam, we would have done that from Gokarna. If there is any reference in Valmiki Ramayana about Ravana how long it took for him to reach Lanka after getting Atma lingam, with that we can prove easily. Another reference I can mention is that Ravana fought with Karthaveeryarjuna and lost a war, we might get some information from Devi Bhagavatam. Also, referesense from Tripura Rahasyam. The reason for sending this mail is to make an analysis from the Gokarna angle. I did not refer to these Valmiki Ramayanam, but some of Tripura Rahasyam about Bhargava rama I read. Hey, yup you are right. That tribe is called mathangs. There are couple of books published which summarize Lord Hanuman's words if wisdom. That book is called Immortal Talks. I struggled to understand n digest the content of the first book. It's not for everyone. But why is happening in srilanka is my doubt. I'm sure Janakiram will deep dive into this topic one day soon.

As on today I don't know if janakiram made video on this but as per Bhagavatham when Krishna came to this world, samudrudu went back by few yojanams and Dwaraka was built. When Krishna got niryanam, at the end of dwapara yugam, samudrudu came back to original place. This is what is proved scientists recently that Dwaraka Nagaram is in sea under water

You made a story about Ravana lanka with lots of references and measurements. That video was really informative and interesting. Thanks to you all. Interesting things are the references and measurements in that video.
I thought of sending in a mail, but I did not get one.
I have recently visited Murudeshwar and Gokarna in Karnataka. As per the stalapurana or the story which we know from Ramayanam or about Ravana, he has received Atma lingam from lord shiva and that was placed on land in Gokarna.
The important fact here is, he has moved to go home starting from Murudeshwar, when he reached Gokarna (78 km approximately), he need to do Sandhyavandanam and he has asked a shepherd to hold that Siva lingam, and that boy (Vinayaka) placed it on earth in Gokarna. Though I knew this story for a long time, today I was thinking in this way and trying.
Here, Ravana is going home towards Gujarat in our present map through western ghats or coastal areas.
There might be some references in Valmiki ramayana about lanka, but my point here is "why should we take the reference of Rameswaram to measure or to identify Lanka. Lord Rama came to Rameswaram and he put a saitaka lingam there which has become a famous temple now. After searching, Rama might have moved towards the western ghats to find Lanka.
I am not sure how to access satellite pictures, but whatever is available in google, from the basic knowledge, I understand that Lanka must be on the left hand side of our India map, which was merged into the Sea like Dwaraka. If not merged, geographically due to the movement of the plateaus that Island might have merged into another continent where it can not be identified.
Conclusion: Apart from what you said taking Rameswaram as reference, and measured as per Valmiki Ramayanam, we would have done that from Gokarna. If there is any reference in Valmiki Ramayana about Ravana how long it took for him to reach Lanka after getting Atma lingam, with that we can prove easily.
Another reference I can mention is that Ravana fought with Karthaveeryarjuna and lost a war, we might get some information from Devi Bhagavatam. Also, referesense from Tripura Rahasyam.
The reason for sending this mail is to make an analysis from the Gokarna angle. I did not refer to these Valmiki Ramayanam, but some of Tripura Rahasyam about Bhargava rama I read.
