  • It can become a frustrating business when learning to Spey cast on our non-dominant side. Many people give up and try to live with only casting on their dominant side and end up sticking a lot of hooks in themselves.
    Rather than spend our time fighting the wind and casting on the "wrong" side for the conditions, here's a drill that will teach us to cast on our other side without the clutter of thinking too much. Check it out.

    I’ve been casting single Spey’s with long bellied lines this year and really like it. That said I’m starting to practice with my weak hand, left for me. Another great video Peter, keep them coming.

    Off-handed casting is an essential skill, I think. Kack-handed is very powerful for Skagit in tight quarters I've found. Grass drills with Scandi is how I got more confident. I also think the off hand can be simpler as it has less memory.
