상트 뻬째르부르그에서 연주할때
갔었는데 동영상이 올라왔군요!
앞2열에서 관람했는데 피아노 소리가 오케스트라 음에 묻혀서 아쉬웠던 것이 기억나네요.
오히려 유튜브 음질이 더 낳은듯!
저 지휘자가 손열음씨 차이 코프스키 콩쿠르때 지휘자죠 아마!
관람료는 아마 한국돈으로 14,000 원 정도
수준높은 연주를 저정도 가격에 관람 할수 있는 것도 러시아의 행복이죠
이 연주도 너무 좋아해요

Needless to say, excellent performance!!
The finest Ravel pianist of the current era, performing Ravel's greatest work...what could be better than this? Ravel is clearly in this work recounting his own experiences in WWI as an ambulance driver at the front lines. The opening section is in French Overture style, strutting dotted rhythms, very macho and pompous. There is also a march, a mournful blues melody reflecting the loss of life in war, ending with a determined and triumphant restatement of the French overture theme. Ravel speaking from his own heart.
Having listened to a few recordings of this I do find her notes are crystal clear in comparison to some other recordings.

she is 30, but looks as cute as 13 years old.
Ravel composed this masterpiece not just for fun. It was a contribute to Paul Wittgenstein, a great pianist who lost his right hand during the World War I. (Sadly, Paul also found this piece very difficult to play at first)
Wittgenstein was unable to perform it and made his own "amendments", which Ravel was upset about. The same with the other works Wittgenstein commissioned, they were all beyond his abilities. But we got some great music from them.

Unfortunately poor sound quality - pity
Even with the sound issue, this is a great performance, better than any other pianist.
