@HelenaWilliams8696 3 years ago Concerto No.2 is well known for its great difficulty, it is complex composition- the tempo is well known. Pianist Yeol interprets the tempo in the exact pacing Rachmaninov composed the work. Other pianists may play the tempo at a hesitant pace.

2023년 12/8일에 내가 1/29일 구로다나 병원 2병동서 아버지께 31일날 퇴원을 하면 어쩔까? 물어 봤을때 내 목자이신 아빠 아버지가 즉발 응답이 왔다. Having listened to a few recordings of this I do find her notes are crystal clear in comparison to some other recordings.

It seems to me that one thing which distinguishes this wonderful performance from that of other artistes playing Rach 2, is that Ms. Son is content to play WITH, indeed, almost WITH-in the orchestra rather than insisting on surfing atop it through the force of volume or rhythmic tension. But I should really go back and listen again to some of the others to make sure I'm making a valid point. Nonetheless, I find her approach supremely poetic and lyrical.

Top notch pianism! A little understated in places but even more beautiful because of it. Scintilating passagework, a truly remarkable performance that that speaks volumes on technique and musicianship!

Had I been lucky enough to have been in the audience I would have screamed BRAVO at the top of my lungs approximately 1000 times.

몇번을 봐도 이영상이 라흐마니노프 피아노 협주곡 2는 최고입니다 손열음 오케스트라 모두 대단합니다 코로나로 인해 관객이 없는것이 많이 아쉽네요

@user-mmv9nv2qb3x - Yes, astounding - so touching - so strong and so sensitive performance of this utterly beautiful concerto. I can say, that in my opinion she reaches up to the standard of David Oistrakh - among violinists: the greatest of the greats of all times - unbeatable King of Violinists !!!!! And the second part brought tears to my eyes - so moving, tranquil and thoughtful...third part: fateful and equally impressing, and also so thoughtful, sensitive and moving with the theme from 2nd part repeated. If you would like to listen to music from my country, Finland, I recommend: * Sibelius: Violin Concerto, Oistrakh & Ormandy (1959) (decaulion project) this, also utterly beautiful violin concerto is unlike others - it's almost symphonic, dramatic, intense, emotional and sensitive, and this very complex and complicated concerto - to be able to do it right - demands great virtuosity of the soloist. And it is played by David Oistrakh with earnesty and humanity (as in all his music), fervosity, strength, warmth and sensitivety. This is, by far, the very best version. One more touching and moving short song (so tender and sensitive), which I recommend is: * David Oistrakh plays R. Gliére, Romance (Igor Vasilievich violinist) It makes me happy to have found this great artist, Yeol-Eum Son, who, as I said, reaches up to the standar of David Oistrakh standard. In my opinion there are a very few about I say that much.

While listening to the beginning right now - I'm impressed! Must listen more - it seems this will be my favourite Rachmaninov No. 2 pianokonsertto. By the way, She has recently been in Helsinki, playing this concerto (I wasn't there to listen).

This is how it is done and articulated. Filled with love and passion. She is a beautiful dancer on the piano.
