- Peglin Part 34 - they said it couldn't be done. I'm 'they'. Turns out with the right synergy and extremely aggressive relic picks, you can not only do well with Necorbmancer, but steamroll with it. You have to see it to believe it!

I imagine the best synergy with Necorbancer is Matryorbshka since one eliminates a bunch of pegs and the other refreshes them.
The ball and relic, as together they can get close to full board clears sometimes, and then the relic with the Nec would help cover your ass in the case of just unlucky bounces so you don't get any complete fails.

The relic and ball lightning are (in my opinion) the best possible combination to synergize with necorbmancer

Something that might be a fun idea for Peglin:
For instance, in Terraria, you're able to combine two accessories that are similar in nature.
So what I propose is a system in which you can upgrade two relics into one relic and it adds a special effect
For instance: wall bounces contribute to damage and bouncers contribute to damage could be combined into a relic that allows wall and bouncers to contribute double their usual amount of damage to the orb you throw.
This is especially true for relics that are currently meant to be more niche picks and aren't really in the current meta.

@Willdroyd exactly like that, yes. The idea is to take relics that are currently mostly off-meta (things such as unicorn horn and the two others I mentioned in the comment) more viable in most situations. Instead of being picks for challenges
@@ILubBLOfficial it makes them more situational, there have to be bad and good relics to balance the game, but now IF you get 2 relics they actually become good. So there have to be filler / bad relics but it would make them useful and add a bit of depth into the game(like secret relics) which isnt required to know but is a fun thing to find out, you wouldnt go out of your way to get a double but would be happy.
Hey Tyler, you should check out some of the secret special relics in custom start sometime. It certainly makes a run interesting.
As someone who only watches him play, could you tell me what the special relics do?
@@garyroach4942 I’ve only unlocked three, but so far there’s Peglintuition, which you start a run with by default, Ancient Meteorite, which is Kinetic Meteorite but with every peg hit, and I forgot the name of the third one, but it adds 2 crits, BUT hitting a crit sends your orb downwards.

A build I think would be interesting to see would be an all tiny/big build, where you start with tiny/big orbs. Since they all bring different effects, it would make for a different and interesting video

That was before the buff. It was sort of average damage hitting only used pegs and refreshing them. It did next to nothing.

When you play with Necorb, "alive" and "dead" pegs should switch visuals. That would help immensely with correctly visualizing what your shot is gonna be like.

I feel like the Necorbmancer isn’t bouncing as much as normal orbs. I think they should be the same so it could be just like and inverted pegboard for it rather than what it is now.
it also seems like it can't powerslide, so that sucks
I feel like the powerslide "pegs" should also leave behind those things that necorbmancer hits.
I got a run with matryorbshka matryoshka shell and a boss relic that gives necromancy to all orbs. It shredded the entire run

Hey Tyler, if you haven't already played it, I recommend a puzzle game called The Bridge, one of my favorites.
Ok, I'm gonna say that necorbmancer is far from the worst orb in the game. That obviously goes to terriball.
Necorbmancer is a major niche, situational and gimmicky orb but it has use. Terriball is an orb designed to be useless and removed.
I feel like Necorbmancer would be way easier to use if it inverted the board state to match what Necorbmancer 'sees' (basically, active pegs are inactive and vise versa)

I imagine Necorbmancer (N) would synergize really well with the Matryorbshka (M). M would hit a lot of pegs, giving N plenty of things to hit, and N would buff all the pegs, and flat damage increases are amazing with M that was low damage but hits a lot of pegs.

Necorb hits missing peg, glowing peg appears and necorb collides with it, if necorb settles on glowing pegs they stop glowing and become regular pegs.
This is a suggestion by the way. Not a deep misunderstanding of current mechanics.

Had a fun run of necorbmancer and swoltorb where I got rid of all my refreshes for extra damage and then just saw how big a number I could get every peg.

Watch. Cruciball level 20 gonna be something like having to fight all the bosses for a floor (F1 slime, mole and bull. F2 wall and ballista. F3 the cubes and the minesweeper) and probably have to fight them back to back

Shotgun king but you can only get white piece synergies. Example: Bodygaurd+cavalry+kite shield
Okay, if you want to make a proper challenge for yourself, make a starter build that has ZERO refreshes, 2 stones, and a necorbmancer.
Calls out the 10 crit being a (mostly) tease. Gets distracted by the +2 crit damage when upgrading.
The only time I can think of, where the Necrorbmancer would be useful is the Dragon Boss with the Gift.
If you think the Necorbmancer is good, you should try a Concentrication run! It has the same restrictions as necorbmamcer, but it activates the pegs it phases through!
I feel like Necorbmancer has potential to be a good orb if it was just buffed to the fact that revived pegs just don't add to damage but still allow it to hit them, kinda like regular pegs getting hit and don't instantly dissapear
Just did my first orboros run, I had just the one orb, cheese, reload shield, and healing on refresh synergy. Didn’t fire once the whole back half of the run

Necorbmancer sucks really bad on its own but I bet it works really well with the echorb/skulltimate/chip combo
