- Peglin Part 42 - the ohmygorb is an interesting one, as it removes any pegs it hits for the entire rest of the fight, not just until the refresh. What happens if I run out of pegs? I've given myself the ability to deal damage from walls and bumpers just in case.

Cause if not... that behaviour is exactly why we ended up not seeing the description at all for some relics where the choice had obvious cuts in it (removing the segment where he hovers them). And In what way is it spoiling?
@@feha92 well I did not think about the ones he didn't hover over, I must've missed them while watching. But by only showing it AFTER Tyler viewed them himself it makes the viewer feel more involved since we find out what it does only when he himself sees it, almost like we're playing ourselves

Not sure if anyone has pointed out the Pokemon reference, but the "Focus Sash" in Pokémon is a very useful item preventing one knockout hit and leaving its user with 1 HP instead. Super handy on glass cannon builds😋

Personally, I think it would make more sense if were called a "Vorbtex". But "Ohmygorb!" is more hilariously stupid, so it can go either way.
Try peglin without buying or upgrading any orbs (for coins)- you'll be shocked how far you can make it with only free orbs and upgrades and being able to afford every relic in every shop.

I'd seen neither this game or this channel before but i still had a good time watching this video
I don’t understand the possible benefit of taking more ohmygorbs. All they do is dilute your deck with more low-tier trash. Every shot is an ohmygorb no matter what, it’s absolutely better to have less of them so all your shots can be as high-level as possible- especially since your enemies can’t damage you while reloading, don’t take an extra turn while reloading, and every match ends extremely quickly.
Edit: He got Hero’s Backpack. I take it all back.
There are three reasons:
1. More shots before he needs to reload - reloads gives enemies 1-2 extra turns (dunno why they sometimes get to move thrice [regular turn + 2 free turns]). Later on he got a relic "doubling" his deck size by nulling damage during first reload
2. "Heros backpack" is good for huge mono-orbed decks. Though that was never the reason he did it, as he didn't have that relic until much much later, long after he bought his last orb.
3. It's a way for him to sink his gold, so he can artificially up the difficulty level for a game that wins itself even at hardest, by making himself unable to afford relics in the shop, and take longer ot get tier 3's (it's the same reason he "spreads the love", despite the game having both discard functionality + events that lets you duplicate orbs at same tier-level as original).
When they replaced the orb with a 7 11 sign I was genuinely so confused for a second, lol.

Now im just wondering how much inspiration frostprime and aliensrock take from each other cause they post similar peglin challenges pretty close to each other very often.
You do realize that there's just a very limited amount of content you could make on Peglin that wouldn't be like that, especially if you are trying to see what orbs would be good for an entire video focused on them.
@@PopeMical I mean considering frost has said that he got the idea for a challenge from aliensrock, there definitely is some overlap, im just wondering if aliensrock does the same. Plus these videos are consistently posted a few days apart and ususally cover stuff thats been out for at least a few weeks at that point, if not more.
Such a fundamental question. Do you need to game to game? Can Tyler transcend himself and win even by not playing? Can he win without himself? How deep does the rabbit hole go?
Custom run idea: Gove your self a few Ether Wheel orbs and a relic that remove refreshes. You can neither take relic that give refreshes in the future nor take a refresh orb. All board refreshes must come from the Ether Wheels.
I miss whenever Tyler would get pegged ngl but it’s nice to see a family friendly video

I dunno, I'm still seeing a LOT of pegs here... I thought perhaps this would be a modded challenge run and was moderately disappointed. Maybe a better title would be 'Can You Beat Peglin While DELETING ALL PEGS?' Fun concept!

Though I gues in my opinion they were in love with putting your face on things just a bit much. But eh.

It really seems useless to get more orbs after you already have like 5+. But I was wondering, is it? Even adding a orb when you have 10 already, is 10% more orbs. Working out the math for that case, we no longer average 10% of the rounds doing nothing, so 1/10 more damage, but instead we get a 1/11 less damage because of the 11ths round not producing damage. so Change in Damage = 1/10-1/11 = .9%. The general case is (1/x)-(1/(x+1)) or 1/(x^2+x). So for the example in the video of taking a 6th orb, that is 1/42 = 2.4% increase in damage on average if the rounds go infinite.
But if the match ends with
Development: "Ha, look at this little orb, it deletes all the pegs it touches. There's no way someone would pick this."
Aliensrock: "Ooo, piece of candy, and cool orb! 😃"
Development: "😐"

Relics with other combat effects are banned. Relics with non-combat effects (like giving an extra choice option) are okay.

I wonder if they coded it so you can't see events that you haven't encountered since the run editor was introduced, maybe you just need to do some normal runs to unlock the event? I'm not sure though haven't played since shortly after the editor was released

Well, it's not really a "no pegs" run, and an more of a "can use every peg only once" run...
balancing this game to consistently make runs past the 3 areas not either impossible or a free win must be a nightmare
