It is really amazing over here, the weather is almost perfect everyday..always sunny. If you do get to come to this zoo make sure to check out the new exhibit ‘African rocks!!!
Skyride's line usually goes by pretty quickly. Although you won't get a good view of many of the animals, since the zoo is practically hidden within a forest, but you do get a great view of the surrounding area and Balboa Park.
This zoo and the sister Safari park are the reasons why I wish people would be more pragmatic with SeaWorld. Instead of pushing to release these animals back into the wild (which only works in Zoo Tycoon), I wish they would pressure their local governments to allow the zoos to expand and build much larger, more open exhibits.

I live in Jacksonville therefor I go to the Jacksonville Zoo all the time. Looking at the cages in the video, so far at 10:59, they look really dull and simple to me. They look nice I guess but they lack what my zoo has. My zoo is more jungly and I don’t know. Better themed. My zoo doesn’t have a better budget. The San Diego zoo is often regarded as one of the best zoos but my zoo just knows how to have better theming. In the range of the jaguar, the exhibit is grassy and rocky with waterfalls and plants. The jaguars are on the edge of this really big temple! It’s freaking amazing. It feels like you are in this old South American temple with the jaguars.
the droughts make it hard to have more plants than already there
I went here once when I was about 9 years old, so I don't remember much about my first visit. I do want to go back, but only by the time the new Africa Rocks habitat finally opens.
I'm really looking forward to the new Africa Rocks section (especially the penguin habitat)

When I was working at the Phoenix zoo someone asked if we had pandas, when I said no they went "WHAT KIND OF ZOO DOESN'T HAVE PANDAS!!!!"

One thing I hope for is that the zoo eventually gets rid of its Urban Jungle area. It was the only real issue I had on the last visit I made to this place. The animals being kept there don't seem to have the best environments or the best space.

I feel like the dog in the big cat enclosure was sort of copying Busch gardens with the dog and cheetah being friends
