- Video from my first visit to the San Diego Zoo, February 12, 2012. I had a wonderful visit and really enjoyed seeing the zoo and it's many animal inhabitants. I hope to go back soon.

I was fortunate enough to visit San Diego and see the zoo. Beautiful place. First time I'd ever see a giant panda live, it was a lot smaller than what I'd imagined, but that's probably because I'd seen them on TV and not in person. Great experience though!
San Diego Zoo looks like famous like Disneyland

This is lovely. I'm going to the SDZ next month for the first time since the 80s and I didn't think I could be more excited but after watching this excellent video I'm practically bursting with excitement.

Loved your video and the cute and amazing animals in it.
Thank you. It is about a two to three hour drive from Los Angeles LAX to the zoo. Have fun!
The San Diego Zoo is a nonprofit organization. They contribute to many conservation projects and the animals are well taken care of. The only reason they are in cages is because they need a place to sleep and play. People pay to come see the animals and that money is used for the animals and the people dedicated to taking care of them. They train some of the animals to do things because its good for their mental health and stimulates their mind. The San Diego Zoo is a really good place. :)
Not as good as the St. Louis Zoo. They are one of the top zoos as well and they have free admission.

Very nice video mate! San Diego Zoo must be one of the most well known Zoo's in the world, if not thee most. I think If I done a trip to San Diego I would have to visit the Zoo. Looks far better then the one we have here in London.

That is an okapi. It's a giraffe-zebra style mix that is mostly related to giraffes.

That was a tree kangaroo. They're marsupials that live in Southeast Asia and Australia.
I traveled from Chicago (were I live) to San Diego and I went to the San Diego zoo it was so much fun bu the plane ride back to Chicago was not fun

B. The cheapest to save species.
C. The most environmentally important species.
Pandas are none of those things.
I beg to differ. The St. Louis Zoo where I volunteer has quite a great record too. We're often considered to be a leader in conservation.

I meant the best record at breeding pandas. St. Louis is definitely a leader in research and breeding of endangered species.
