Great vid: learned a lot about my CZ S2 action. Can you share some light on the "grittiness" or the clicking sound of the SA trigger reset? I tried to polish the inner face of the J-hook but that didn't work. I am using a aftermarket Eemann Tech disco. Tnx!
thank you! I would look at the trigger bar support spring. If by "J-hook" you mean underneath the trigger bar where the spring rides, then yes, I would have tried that too. But polishing is really always just a fine tuning... The excessive friction there can be because the spring gets misplaced and rides on the side underneath the trigger bar as opposed to the rail. I would check the tension of that spring and if it's not moving to the side with trigger bar movement... The disco shouldn't add friction to you SA reset, as it will be like a "stop" place for the trigger bar, rather than something the bar will dragging on during SA reset. The disco does affect the reset distance though, but not so much the feel in SA. Also check for friction of your trigger bar with the frame and ejector cage. This can also contribute to the grittiness you're mentioning. I hope it helps you - Good luck!
@@czarmorer Thanks! Indeed the disco is not the cause. The trigger bar spring is! Replaced it with a new one and loosen the trigger bar spring tiny bit and the SA is butter smooth now.
A couple advantages with it: (1) It's from a steel billet, so it will not wear as fast as the OEM one. And (2) as the name states: it's adjustable, meaning you won't need to fit your safety to it. Other than that, and of course, the confidence boost that make you shoot better every time you add an aftermarket part to your gun, there is not much else to say about it. It will not make your trigger lighter/heavier in any way, and if anything, depending on how it will engage with your hammer, it may or may not give you a different feel in single action (more or less creep etc)
@@czarmorer what do you mean by fitting my safety to it? I currently have a shadow 2 compact and feel that the safety is not as heavy/strong as I’d like it to be. I tried adding the CGW detent spring to help, but it did little. Could this adjustable sear help with that?
I don't think so - The decocker involves a number of changes and extra parts, including your sear, hammer, springs decocker lever etc. I don't know if it's impossible, but I wouldn't try.
@@aaronalvizua477 I agree it sounds crazy and there are reasons why it sounds as such :). But you don't need a decocker to carry it. The S2 has a safety lever, and you can always carry it loaded with hammer down in DA. I wouldn't carry it anyhow. There are many other more adequate options of guns out there that you could carry and compete with (just my opinion thouogh).
The audio got a bit metallic when I accelerated it by 5% to fit into the "10 minutes or less" proposal - Not much I can do here now though. If I post the original one, the audio is better but it will be longer and I wanted to be within the 10 minutes proposed. I don't think the cost x benefit is there. Sorry if it did not work for you.
Great Video but the audio is terrible, the only thing that would have knocked it out of the park is animation of the interaction of the parts & fixing the audio but the content is great.
Wish I had seen this before I started buying springs on friends' recommendations! Another great video.
Good to know before I install my competition spring set. I mat do some polishing if I find any burrs. Thanks
Excellent video, my friend. Explained so very well!
thank you my friend!
Excellent video. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
So cool! Thank you

What are your thoughts on the CGW adjustable sear?

Im new to the shadow 2, can the safety be replaced with a decocker like the omega if its a DA/SA?

@@czarmorer I only ask because as crazy as it sounds I intend to carry the shadow 2 not just a safe queen/comp gun. Thanks for the insight

Too crazy, Its both too heavy and too light. You can always decock like a pro until one day you slipped.
can u fix the audio

Fixed! I just reposted with a different audio input. Check it out on my channel.

Agree! I used my headset's mic to record the audio and ended up being pretty bad. The animations would've been a big stretch for me though :).
I've just reposted it with a better audio
The end of the version I just watched was much better.
Informative, good action.
