Very important for a beginner to count aloud and voice the particular rudiment when applying them until it is subconscious and muscle memory takes over. Therefore the natural feel and rhythm will be felt when playing a groove as well as the fill without them sounding like two different pieces Frankensteined together.

Thanks for your input Joe! Very valid point you have there. Counting is an essential part of any musicians toolkit 🥁

    I play drum but I can't make a fill in a song i feel i'm not
    Secure what can I do

Based on what you've said, the only advice I can give is to learn songs that are within reach. Meaning that you know how to play those fills.
When you want to learn a song but can't play the fill, find the fill transcription and learn it isolated. Then practice the groove with the fill without the song and with a metronome, until you can play the target tempo of the song.
Free Fallin’ by Tom Petty has some nice solo/fills throughout the song - here's the PDF link.

practice the drum rudiments on a pad, then mix it into a basic groove. both left and right hand leading the rudiment, then take what you learned to the drum kit. practice, practice and log or write down the date after the lesson is accomplished. then move to the next new drum rudiment and repeat the process. have fun.

@@thefundamentalsofdrumming man thank you. i dont trust Alesis because I have had so many roland products including an e kit that I see the price of them and I assume they are cheap. but now that I have less money and more hobbies I dont have time to play much anyway so Im thinking if a drummer of your skill uses alesis, and uses it for videos and practice, it has to be reliable lol

@@lowlowseesee no sweat! Alesis are one of those brands that make quality products but for a more affordable price and because it's more affordable/cheaper, it could be perceived as a product that isn't as well made but they are well made :P
haha thank you! to be honest it doesn't matter what skills you have, what matters is that you can play and you can use anything to play drums like, pots pans and buckets :D
