David Lucas was born in Macon, GA. He started acting an early age, performing in numerous stage plays at the Macon Little Theatre. He relocated to Hollywood where he was a contestant on, “MTV Yo Momma”. He has since written for several television shows and continues to perform stand up all over the country (for such comedians as Louis CK, Erik Griffin, Joe Rogan, Brendan Schaub, Tony Hinchcliffe, Bert Kreisher, DL Hughley and many more) He is a regular on Kill Tony. I only have mad respect for Brian Redban. Shout out to Brian giving me an opportunity to do my first ever standup in the Seattle area 5 years ago, I did 10 minutes! I was nervous and at the time I had no idea who he really was. But all I knew is this guy was very supportive, kind, giving me words of encouragement right before I got on stage. Brain is a real one for sure, people need to start realizing that more. Much love respect brother!

Hearing Redban on a podcast always makes be feel nostalgia for the early days of JRE. Say what you want about him but he co-founded two of the most important comedy podcasts of all time.

I started watching Kill Tony a little before Malcom Hatchet became a regular and it is wild to see how far David has come as a regular. Keep killing it homie cant wait to see that Rogan episode!
Same, and damn, that was a long time ago and the show was already completely polished back then! The Rona episodes and when they first moved to Austin were *REALLY* rocky times, but Tony getting "cancelled" was the best thing that ever happened to him/Kill Tony.

Met both of these amazing guys at the Comedy Store, back at the end of 2018 beginning of 2019. David Lucas was always a Nice down to earth guy, not much of a bounce lol, but an awesome person.
And Brian was the most original and real people@ the Store. Sat and had a couple of whiskeys on the front patio at the Store. Was seriously a really real, and totally natural time/conversation with Him.

Needed to hear some of this. I haven’t been following a ton of stuff in the past 5 years but have been a fan for a while. This type of conversation makes a huge difference! The quote that stands out to me is “it takes 10 years to become and overnight success”

pretty sure David is right about DSL being Digital Subscriber Line (Asynchronous DSL and Synchronous DSL) the type of internet we used to get through cable service. (there might be a Digital Satellite Link but) ADSL was the huge thing. (ADSL was way slower upload speed than download speed, SDSL was the same up speed as down -load speed, SDSL was the best so of course it wasn't available for long in my case at least.)
I definitely wanted to comb the thread before I chimed in. It’s definitely digital subscriber line.
