Everyone always say I should be doing comedy. Mine stens from being a fay kid growing up that used a quick wit, an ability to joke with the people making fun of me, and a generally low self-esteem. It seems like a few of these guys can relate to that. A multitude of usually negative influences allowed them to lauhh at some of the most negative things in the world. People are entitled to have their opinions. Doesn't make us/them right ir wrong. Fortunately, we both get Ari and Tony and have probably listened to them enough in various settings to get a vetter understanding than others who heard them a couple/few times and don't have a keen picture of the humans behind the art. I didn't find Peng that funny after hearing him here for the first time but I don't claim to know him or understand his comedy with such limited interaction. But a lot of these guys literally live their art. They try to make each other laugh by doing messed up stuff - shock value included. Tony gives "normies" chances to become something and Ari is Ari.He does his best to always get people laughing. Roasts are meant to be like that. A fat guy would have his weight made fun of, people with mullets would have lots of redneck and Billy Ray Cyrus jokes directed at him. Because a roast is making fun of a person's appearance and known differences.

man tony is one of the most ice cold and unfazed comedians I've seen with hecklers, pressure, and controlling situations. I think he's a psycho, the man doesn't have any worry or fear.
Tony got great applause for his mostly improvisational set and then the cancel culture tore him apart in the media. Truth won out in the end. Tony had his happy ending !
The absurdity of Tony's first bit makes it funny, like people don't really talk like that, it's so ridiculous. He was basically calling out peng for relying on stereotypical jokes himself and then pushing his sjw bits into his set. Tony's only fault here was thinking that he and Peng were good enough friends that he wouldn't take the roasting personally. What he went on to do instead was even worse than taking it personally, instead of talking it out with Tony he goes and puts out an out of context bit to gain sympathy points from people who aren't even into stand up or just straight up have terrible sense of humours. I think what really came out of this is a unity between comics. Peng Deng cemented himself on the outside of comedy by coming after tony for jokes. Where is peng now, and where is tony now? Comedy is one of the few avenues left to truly exercise free speech; to open dialogue in areas that are highly contentious, and bring humor to the sad realities. To those offended, reassess your life and priorities, because someone else's art and/or opinion should not define yours.
No it isn't. Free speech is still flourishing in society because it's still illegal for government to arrest you for your opinion. bravetitangrizzly I actually realized this about five minutes after my response. I have actually met Tony, and he seemed pretty cool. My personal take is that he likes to play the heel and mistakes 1950s humor for being edgy and “fighting PC culture.” But maybe that’s just projection on my part. He likes Trump, who is basically a nazi. The Asian stuff - notably when he and Redban harassed the Asian woman who used to clean the mics - is super cringe. Aside from stirring up this sort of thing, those jokes are hacky as fuck. That said, Tony may grow his audience since this country seems to be backsliding back into the Jim Crow era.

As a comedian, I always say check your feelings at the door. This is comedy, good or bad. If you don't like the joke, then don't clap or laugh. That's how this works.
Seems pretty funny to me. It's fairly funny because everyone "pokes fun" at race in this tepid, tedious way and creates these fake "transgressions". Meanwhile, he takes it to the next level and makes it actually somewhat transgressive, calls attention to whites rather than Chinese, and therefore is actually funny instead of just making another lazy Chinese joke (oh Chinese are smart and thrifty, blablabla).

Everyone always say I should be doing comedy.
Mine stens from being a fay kid growing up that used a quick wit, an ability to joke with the people making fun of me, and a generally low self-esteem.
It seems like a few of these guys can relate to that.
A multitude of usually negative influences allowed them to lauhh at some of the most negative things in the world.
People are entitled to have their opinions.
Doesn't make us/them right ir wrong.
Fortunately, we both get Ari and Tony and have probably listened to them enough in various settings to get a vetter understanding than others who heard them a couple/few times and don't have a keen picture of the humans behind the art.
I didn't find Peng that funny after hearing him here for the first time but I don't claim to know him or understand his comedy with such limited interaction.
But a lot of these guys literally live their art.
They try to make each other laugh by doing messed up stuff - shock value included.
Tony gives "normies" chances to become something and Ari is Ari.He does his best to always get people laughing.
Roasts are meant to be like that.
A fat guy would have his weight made fun of, people with mullets would have lots of redneck and Billy Ray Cyrus jokes directed at him.
Because a roast is making fun of a person's appearance and known differences.

The absurdity of Tony's first bit makes it funny, like people don't really talk like that, it's so ridiculous. He was basically calling out peng for relying on stereotypical jokes himself and then pushing his sjw bits into his set. Tony's only fault here was thinking that he and Peng were good enough friends that he wouldn't take the roasting personally. What he went on to do instead was even worse than taking it personally, instead of talking it out with Tony he goes and puts out an out of context bit to gain sympathy points from people who aren't even into stand up or just straight up have terrible sense of humours. bravetitangrizzly I actually realized this about five minutes after my response. I have actually met Tony, and he seemed pretty cool. My personal take is that he likes to play the heel and mistakes 1950s humor for being edgy and “fighting PC culture.” But maybe that’s just projection on my part. He likes Trump, who is basically a nazi. The Asian stuff - notably when he and Redban harassed the Asian woman who used to clean the mics - is super cringe. Aside from stirring up this sort of thing, those jokes are hacky as fuck. That said, Tony may grow his audience since this country seems to be backsliding back into the Jim Crow era.

Seems pretty funny to me. It's fairly funny because everyone "pokes fun" at race in this tepid, tedious way and creates these fake "transgressions". Ari is not the best at anything
It's a solid set. He fires on every type of person including himself, "fat" jokes and the audience. It's meant to be raw. He came out with that tone from the jump on purpose.
