Thanks for writing English subtitles, really appreciate it. And let me know if you ever wanna get rid of any of those bodies ahaha I can maybe buy one or two from you : p
Hahah, I never seen or held a Leica camera in real life, only saw them in UA-cam videos and yet this man has 7 of them :D Good collection and knowledge. I feel like an expert in leica after your video:))
Fantastic video! I think however that the most beautiful one is missing.. The M8.2 black paint with the black Leica logo and the frame illuminator window :-).
@@allena3430 same here. This Channel is born out of the pandemic as well. I got bored not being able to travel freely so all the time and money goes into gears lol
@@JimmyCheng Sometimes i question myself, if the pandemic hadn't happen, would I have ended up acquiring all these leica gear knowing the costs of these could have been a nice trip around the world. What do you think for yourself? haha
@@allena3430 good thing about Leica gear is that, there’s always a market for it. You can sell it whenever you want to and pretty much get back what you paid for or even a bit more if you have the patience. I can always let go one or two lenses or bodies and buy a nice little trip when things get better :)
Just got my chance to catch up with this video. I, too, have been collecting Leica due to the pandemic; but more on the lenses. Maybe the forthcoming M11-P will be a black paint which you can add to your collection. For me, I am looking forward to another stealth edition.
the M11's top plate is not made out of brass. So it won't show the brassing. And like the m10p black, it's not black paint, which means it's harder to wear. The last black paint Leica camera is the Leica m10-r black paint edition.
Congratulations on this detailed overview of the BP. Personally like them a lot too. I was lucky recently to buy a new M10-R BP which replaces my M240 (which was a P version in BP). The main reason that kept me away from buying the M10 (besides the fact that the M240 is a great camera and it got very nicely brassed) was that it was some kind of matte black that just won't brass. Didn't like the look of it at all. So I was very happy to see the limited edition BP coming out. I have several Leica's but my goal is to reduce it to 2 only : the digital M10-R BP and the analogue MP BP. (though I will keep the M9 as well, that may become a legend in its own because of the Kodak sensor)
great great choice ! Yeah black chrome doesn’t age too well. If I were to keep one it’s probably the bp m3. Because once I sell it it’s hard to get it back 😅
I really want to ask any Leica owner if at the time of their purchase, original or second hand, did you feel like you could've received a better deal? I'm seeing M2, M3, M4 exc bodies alone going close to 2,000 USD? Would this be dumb of someone to purchase?

No black paint MP-240?

黑漆露铜真的是男人的心头好,何况是成色还非常好的,羡慕Jimmy
谢谢谢谢🙏 是啊,有种沧桑感
Damn Jimmy. Your camera collection never ceases to amaze me. You rollin' in that dough? lol
Well to tell you the truth, all these bodies are bought within the last few months. I guess it’s the pendamic 😆
@@JimmyCheng I ended up with a whole lot of leica bodies and lenses due to pandemic. Leica virus. 😂

yeah this pandemic has really turned up my GAS to the max lvl. I would never imagine myself doing this pre-pandemic.
Can you buy me next? I'm a good boy. Potty trained. I will protect your collection. Many bark. Such growl.
No love for M5 and MA BP?
M-A black paint doesn’t exist
@@JacobChristiansen1 You might be right, Leica site does list their MA as black paint but it's more like black chrome.
@@cctc788 they list it as black chrome. Maybe you’re looking at a reseller
there’s no ma black paint. As for m5, I’ve never seen a bp one but maybe there is.

🙋♀️ How’s does M11 black age, like the earlier models you can see brass on top plates?

@@JimmyCheng yeah may be right. Got a Silver M3 but I miss the lightmeter in it so I don’t use it that much. Hence my aim for an MP

I bought mine way above that price point, so don’t worry about it.
M2 and M3 black paint original or repaint?
original
You only need a leciaflex black paint mark 1: rarer than all the black paints you got (1000pcs only) to complete the collection. XD XD
壕無人性呀….
Oh no… its in chinese :( sad 😞
hey jimmy do you have instagram
