i have a 65" LG C1 in the living room and a 55" LG C2 in the bedroom. both are equally great at both gaming and watching TV in general! they made me a huge believer in LG!
@@walidhannaoui1802 I just got the B2 for 999 at Best Buy a few weeks ago and it has the exact same gaming features as the C2 just with 2 less hdmi 2.1 ports. If that's a problem you can buy 8k hdmi 2.1 splitters for 20 bucks on amazon to add ports which is a lot cheaper than an extra 400 dollars for the C2. I looked at the B2 and C2 side by side in the store and I could barely if even tell the difference. I've heard the B2 and C1 are extremely similar which means I'd probably just stick with the C1 unless you were wanting to get a larger size.
@@walidhannaoui1802 being completely honest they are both great. if i had been able to find a 55" C1 for my bedroom i would have got it instead of the C2. despite the C2 being the newer model with the Evo display i see zero difference in picture quality. matter of fact i find myself often times more impressed with my 65" C1's picture quality than my 55" C2. you would think the bigger screen on the C1 would make the picture slightly more grainy and slightly less impressive but that just isnt true.
@@unknown-jx5yt After CES I’d probably wait until 2024 now in hopes MLA trickles down to the C4 lol. There just isn’t many 48in options unless I can get a discounted A95k Sony then I wouldn’t hesitate buying that. All the good stuff is just too big for my environment
@ Caleb Digital Trends - You can no longer use a RTX 3000/4000 card with the new Sony TVs. All HDMI 2.0 ports shows a frozen garbled image and on the HDMI 2.1 4K120hz inputs you can only get a working picture with the input set to Enhanced VRR but then you are locked into Game mode and can't change to say Cinema for watching movies or shows through your PC. Also, if you want to game at 120hz with BFI by using Clearness, forget it as you need to be able to set input to Enhanced (non VRR) but it's not possible since Nvidia made changes to their drivers after 512.95. They are now much stricter with the EDID rules and this is not working well with Sony to say the least. Please make a video about this, it's a huge issue for us who likes to hook the TV up to a PC.
If money really isn't a worry, go for the LG G2 over the C2. All the same features as the C2 but with a brighter OLED screen and a heatsink to help with image retention.
Even if you’re rich, and I am… speaking as an electrical & electronics engineer with half a decade experience… G2 is wayy overpriced and absolutely stupid buy unless it’s price is closer to the C2 by atleast 67 percent
@@GlassfilmWeddings the S 95B has what it takes to be what it should be. It doesn’t have the true processing power of a Sony XR cognitive processor. My uncle Ned said expect some exciting new technology in 2023 more game changers next year than ever before enough said. Live the moment.
I have the C1 and while it is a fantastic TV for gaming, the brightness is really an issue. It just can’t handle any light sources in front of the display. My PC uses a mini LED gaming display and the difference is stark. OLED has much better response but the overall brightness of the MINI LED display is so much better.
I've been enjoying my C1 for over a year now. You helped me pick it out, thank you!! It stays in a dark room, I have no 8k desires now or ever, so I can't imagine what sort of upgrade I'd need within the next few years. Great TV for gaming or just regular content. All looks beautiful. Only complaint is WebOS, it isn't bad, just isn't great. I use a 2017(?) shield and it is a better experience than the TV
LG C2 has earned my respect as well! I not only use it for gaming but as my primary PC monitor. The speed with which it can switch resolutions (i.e. when alt tabbing) is unmatched. I would love a review roundup of the best “TVs as PC monitors” when you have a chance. Thanks and great job!
I'd be a little concerned using it as a PC monitor with all that static gfx on screen. Of course, time will tell if burn-in mitigating features...mitigate this.
@@ChrisM541 there are actually a bunch of mitigation tech included (pixel shifting, brightness reduction, a screen saver), been using it for the last 6 months and burn in has been a non-issue. I don’t know about other brands though would be good to get the lowdown from Caleb!
I find that the gaming optimizer preset is the best one for all type of content whether you connect your PC, your console or your streaming box. All other presets add some kind of processing that affect the picture quality or the framerate. I fired up some UHD movies and found something was odd despite enabling Cinema or Home Cinema mode and wouldn't you guess... true motion (low) was enabled making everything look unnatural.
I was waiting for an announcement on when the 42" would drop, but when they announced it would be the last batch of C2s to drop, I decided to pull the trigger on a 48" C1 and hope it wasn't going to be too big for my desk. So happy with the choice, as I got a bigger display, as well as the benefit of the reduced pricing since the C2s had been announced. Just picked up the 77" C2 for the main room, so extra glad I saved some $$$ on the C1.
Convince my wife into getting a S95B since we haven’t upgraded to a smart tv and man this thing is a beauty while gaming and watching shows and movies.
I have been using LG C2 for the past 1 and a half month and there is no way i can go back to lcd panels at all, this TV is so good at gaming it almost makes you forget the fact that this TV is marvellous for content watching as well, especially Dolby Vision contents.
Samsung's Game Motion+ is such an underrated feature for console gaming. Lets you sacrifice a small amount of latency for stellar motion clarity and smoothness in 30 or 60fps-locked games, and with no added flicker or brightness loss. It's basically off-brand DLSS 3.0. I use it a lot on my S95B.
I own an LG C9 OLED, which I love. But 30fps games are way more painful than they need to be on it. Been window shopping recently for a second tv, and this feature has me gunning for a Samsung tv
I have the qn90b and was wondering when I should use this feature. So I should still turn this on for any games that run at 30 or 60fps and don't support VRR? Wasn't to sure about this feature see.. I did turn it on when playing horizon zero dawn on ps5 the other day but not too sure it was doing much.
@@ianbrazier1213 Personally, I use VRR for games with unstable, uncappable framerates, GM+ de-blur for 60fps games, and add de-judder for 30fps games. It does struggle with faster-paced first person 30fps games where the artifacting can be a bit much, and just running very low brightness may be a better choice. Lesser known fact; perception of judder is linked to absolute brightness levels, not just frame rate, frame pacing, and pixel response times. Lower brightness and slower pixels both reduce judder, but add blur. Pulsing the image in sync with the framerate like a film projector's shutter helps perceived motion clarity, but adds a flicker effect that varies in annoyance depending on how it's done, and the rate it occurs at.
Game Motion is nothing like DLSS. Deep Learning Super Sampling has to do with upscaling a lower resolution image leveraging the RTX cards Tensor Cores through AI to produce a similar and at times more accurate picture. Game Motion+ is merely Samsungs branded name of Black Frame Insertion, two vastly different technologies.
@@Techington DLSS 3.0's Optical Multi Frame Generation and Samsung's Game Motion+ bare more similarities than differences. Both use prior frame data to generate intermediary frames to boost the perceived temporal resolution of moving images without altering the traditional X/Y resolution. Nvidia's tech has more input than the raw frame to work with as provided by the game engine (depth buffer, motion vectors, etc), so it has the opportunity to be more accurate, certainly operates with lower latency, and runs without the locked frame rate requirement, but the effect is otherwise visually similar and has the benefit of requiring no game developer input at all. Black frame insertion is available too, but it cannot be used together with Game Motion+.
I picked up the QN90B last month and it’s been nothing short of phenomenal. The gaming features are more than I could have hoped for being a casual gamer running both consoles. Highly recommend.
@ICE GOD very minimal as Samsung does a great job at blooming control but it is still there if you look hard enough as all LED/LCD tv’s will have some form of blooming. Coming from a 2016 Panasonic DX900 the Samsung is miles ahead for me.
I own the previous QN90A which is a terrible gaming TV. It's fine for standard TV watching but for movies and games its so terrible to watch with the local dimming issues. I actually put my XBOX in non-HDR mode, and surprisingly looks very good but if you go HDR it's terrible. I think the issue with all the TVs, is how they handle HDR, Samsung seems to not handle it well, I am thinking about buying the C2 but I have my doubts.
@@michaelriga6431 I can’t speak to last years models but I heard that they weren’t good for gaming. I own a Q80T upstairs which I was using for my Series X until I got the QN90B and the Q80T looks horrible in game mode and I almost disabled VRR on it but gaming is so much better on the QN90B, it is a huge improvement and a big step up.
@@michaelriga6431 I also own a QN90A and you HAVE to tweak the local dimming and brightness. It's much, much, more bearable once you adjust it. It'll NEVER be an OLED but it's not terrible as you put it.
I have used the LG C1 for about 4 months and have zero complaints. Gaming looks great. Movies/TV look great. HDR and Dolby vision are great, plus the speakers are fantastic.
Recently upgraded from a 55' Sony X950G to a 77' Sony A80K and man, so glad Sony has finally caught up to supporting all the PS5 features. My first OLED tv, 22' bigger, supports 120Hz compared to the X950G's 60Hz cap, VRR, ALLM, great local dimming with VRR on thanks to a software update for the A80K, and insane sound quality for when the tv calibrates your living room. Playing GoW: Ragnarok in it's high frame rate mode with VRR is truly the best way to play and all while on the comfort of my couch haha. But yea the only thing I had to discover on my own is that if the PS5 is trying to do 3D audio through tv speakers and the TV itself provides 3D audio based on its calibrations, you get like 2 different measurements trying to constantly overlap each other which makes for a vastly inaccurate spatial/3D sound through tv speakers
Picked up the U8H a few weeks back. For $700 less than the same sized LG C2 OLED, it can’t be beat. Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, VRR, ALLM, Low input lag, auto Film Maker Mode, black blacks. This tv is phenomenal for the money. It’s advertised as having 500+ dimming zones, when in reality it has more like 1600 dimming zones. The brightness is phenomenal as well, advertised at 1500 peak nits, it measured at just over 2000 peak nits brightness. The Hisense is the budget TV of your dreams.
@@robinbanks3288 It doesn't have 1600 dimming zones. The U8K the newest HiSense only has 1,000 so no way the U8H has more...The U8K is the mini dot Tv to beat this year as its color and clearity are on par with OLED once you calibrate it...Black is Black on the U8K... The TCL QM8 mini dot can't even beat the blacks on the Hisense U8K but the TCL can get a little brighter...
Just picked up the x95k mini led as my main gaming tv for ps5 and series x and it’s mind blowingly good, crazy bright hdr highlights, amazing contrast, oled like color, and amazing input lag. Cannot beat Sonys sound on this tv also, I don’t bother turning on my surround sound nearly as much since it sounds like there’s already a nice sound bar.
Agreed, managed to snag a 55 inch for $500 and has been great, best non-OLED TV out there, especially thanks to Sony's updates, VRR without turning off auto dimming.
I bought the C2 back in October when the price dropped in the US. I absolutely love it. I use it for media (of course) and PC gaming. 4K UHD Blu-ray is AMAZING on this TV.
Nice video as always Caleb! one thing to note though, the Sony X90K only features ordinary direct lit local dimming and not mini-LED backlighting as you stated in the video. Only the X95K features mini-LEDs in the 2022 sony lineup.
I got my first smart tv a month and a half ago, the Sony A80K, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how great the gaming aspect has looked and held up so far. As long as you get the necessary extensions and switchers to allow yourself to have multiple consoles plugged in at once, I think the Sony A80K works perfectly for gaming.
Not a concern at all for gaming. On the Google TV platform, it’s there but it’s generally low. There were two instances where I had to unplug the main cable and plug it back in, essentially hard resetting the TV, but that’s not a common thing that happens.
Do these modern tvs lack inputs or something? I have multiple consoles but my 5+ year old 4k Vizio tv has 4 HDMI inputs and a component input. No switching boxes necessary other than for my "retro" Xbox original and ps2.
Does a switcher go from a tv or monitor on one console?…or I’m I thinking of a splitter? I’m thinking about getting a monitor for my ps5 gaming and tv for streaming…..thanks in advance
Hey, I have an a80k and I love it so much but I started noticing extreme dimming after 1-3 minutes of gameplay. Gran turismo 7 is the biggest problem but I also notice it while watching sports. Does yours dim too? I don't know if I have a faulty unit or if I should just return it and get a C2, I love everything about the a80k when it comes to picture quality and I'm afraid I'm not going to be satisfied with the C2.
I've been using the LG C2 as my PC monitor for the last month now. It really is something special, and so well-suited to the task. The only down side is the potential for burn-in, so I've change quite a few of my desktop habits in hopes of avoiding that dreaded nightmare.
@@spritsfal5088 Hiding the taskbar should be sufficient. I can't imagine the occasional time check will hurt, even after years of use. I'm rotating my wallpapers every 10 minutes. lol. I'm also using my web browser in windowed mode, and moving it around my desktop frequently. This way, there will be no static items for very long. It's a hassle, and I can understand why people might find OLEDs not worth the trouble for PC use. For me, I think the effort is worth it. The quality is just spectacular.
Burn-In is in the past my dude. Don’t worry about it. Not saying you’re invulnerable by any means, but you’d have to REALLY abuse your OLED to get burn-in these days. Tech had gotten so much better throughout the years. Only thing I’d definitely recommend, DO NOT have your taskbars constantly up (Being a static image) for long periods of times since you’re playing on a PC.
I was an early adopter of hdmi 2.1 in early 2020. I went with the vizio p65q9-h1 and I absolutely love it. Two years later and it's still going strong. 4 full bandwidth hdmi 2.1 at 48gbps. 1100 nits. Dolby vision, hdr10, it also has amd freesync premium that comes with vrr, allm, I do wish i would have spent more sometimes and got done the from a more premium brand but I'm still extremely happy
After getting the Series X a few months ago I decided I wanted a new tv. My old tv didn’t check a single box on the tv settings for my series X. I just bought the LG C2 on Black Friday. So far, I am loving it! This is my first premium tv and the picture blows me away! I went to Best Buy and the selection was overwhelming but I’m glad after watching several videos over the months that I chose the C2.
We bought the LG C2 55" this summer - extraordinary picture, a butt load of options, and it really is THE TV for gaming. Bought it from Costco to get the free extended warranty. One of our best buys from over the past few years for sure!
I just purchased the Samsung QN90B over the LG C2 because of Caleb's other reviews of these TVs. The reason I chose the QN90B is because I use the TV in very bright ambient room settings. I have a lot of windows and keep my viewing room brighter even at night. The gaming response is absolutely dynamite. I play GT7 and WRC Generations on my PS5 and also have an XBOX with Forza Horizon 5 and both look amazing. Fast frame rates and could not ask for more from a TV for my needs. The TV also automatically switches modes if I'm gaming or watching a movie on my PS5. Great pick if your room is bright.
I was about to pull trigger on two 85" of these Samsung but fortunately found out last night that Samsung 2022 models no longer have Steam Link. :( Sad.
Just a tip: if anyone is going to get an 85 inch Samsung qn90b, get the qn85b instead since the 85 inch qn85b has a va panel just like the qn90b, meaning the picture quality is almost just as good, but for $1000 less
If you’re on a budget, like I was, the lg b series is worth a look at as well. It lacks the newer processor and panel of the c2, but it still has 2 hdmi 2.1 ports and literally supports every gaming feature the c2 does…for about 3-500 bucks less. The 65 inch version can be had for less than 1300 and the 55 can be had for 999.
Yes, I bought the B2 Las week. Got the 75 inch for about $550 less than the C2 and the tv is absolutely beautiful. Still better than 90% of tvs out there.
@@bionicwolf3342 yup 1000% this. Interestingly, enough, one of my biggest concerns was the fact that a lot of the reviews talked about how it doesn’t get as bright as the C2, yet it’s substantially brighter than the previous Vizio LCD TV that we had in the living room. My fears were unfounded. This TV is fantastic.
Completely agree. I got the LG a few weeks back in a promotion by Walmart, super cheap, but amazing amazing picture and sound, for $150 less than an equivalent Sony
I bought the lg C1 77 inch on sale a little less than a year ago and love it. Definitely the best tv I’ve ever used. It does have an issue with the series x and sound bar pass through where the screw will divert back to standard definition randomly. I’ve found the only fix to be Turing the Soundbar off and on then changing it back. It’s a bit annoying but other than that, the tv is amazing.
I have the 77inch C2 and it has big time issues with my receiver and Series X - drives me crazy!!! I lose sound often and have to reset everything - I can’t believe this hasn’t been fixed yet… I do not have any issues with my Switch, PS5 or the apps - so it’s definitely an LG Xbox issue
@@chrisg8820 agreed. For me personally, seems the issue is with the Xbox,tv and Soundbar set up. Like you mentioned. Everything works fine with my PS5, PS3, SWITCH, 360, and fire cube. Only the series x has the issue. I say it’s the sound bar because it seems now that I upgraded my sound bar the resolution issue happens far less often and now I just turn the sound bar on and off a few times and I can get things back to normal Farley quickly. Not as bad but very annoying. The series x definitely has issues with this tv.
@@chrisg8820 yeah that was my thought and also the fact that literally no reviews I watched or read mentioned this issue. I checked around two dozen reviews, give or take, and no one mentioned this. This is information consumers should be aware of when spending this kind of money, or any kind of money to be honest.
The only issue with the LG C2 is that it doesn’t support BFI at 120hz. It does support it at 60hz though. A minor letdown but still worth mentioning. It still holds the #1 spot in my opinion
With which system? This doesn't make sense. Are you sure it isn't a restriction with the game? I'm not sure how a TV could not support specific games at certain refresh rates.
So glad the LG C2 was your #1, I just got one to go with my PS5 before Warzone 2 came out and I'm blown away. My friends are sick of me saying "this looks amazing" all the time when we play.
Just finished my 2-3 months research project of acquiring the best gaming monitor. Writing this comment on a 42 inch C2. Simply mindblown. My best buy yet.
LG C1 I bought for 2299 in July was the best deal for a gaming TV and movies and don’t regret it one bit!’ GOW Ragnarok and Last OF us Part 1 look amazing
I bought the LG C2,man what a game changer. This TV looks so good at everything I throw at it, I upgraded from a TCL and the I can tell the difference between OLED
As someone who was offered to have a "Cost doesn't matter choice" of a new TV, I've been on an old 42" Vizio XVT423XV for the last 7 or 8 years now, I went the route of the A95k. Sure it's not gonna be everyone's cup of affordability, but hot damn it doesn't spare an expense. Given I own a PS5, it really made no sense to not get one to take advantage of it's features and since I also run all AMD hardware in my PC, the additive of Freesync support was merely icing on the cake. I'm beyond happy with the purchase and look forward to hopefully many years of use.
Even more budget friendly and still a great TV for gaming is the Hisense 40A4HAU, the picture is amazing and it has a gaming mode that reduces input lag as well as some visual tech that makes for a brilliant picture. Only 40" but I think it's a perfect size for a bedroom gaming TV, also only $400 Australian, so you'll prob get one in the US for 150-200.
I think they both came out at the same time as they normally sell the A, B, C and G alongside each other. Just different spec levels. The G2 is a better panel tho and is supposed to be brighter. The G2 is also designed to be wall mounted so doesnt come with a stand unlike the other models
My understanding is that the C and G lines are the same aside from the stand with the G symbolizing the “gallery” idea where you can set the display to art pieces when not in use to essentially become a living artwork in your living space. Which is why it requires being wall mounted.
@@charlesschwab7651 no the G2 comes with the EVO panel which has a heatsink to allow it to go brighter. Thats why they cost so much more. Also the full range of LG OLED tvs have the inbuilt gallery regardless of which model. My LG CX even has it.
Thanks for the video, Caleb! Useful information and as always beautifully brought. I bought a LG C1 in June. So glad I did and great to hear you still recommend it. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to your next video.
If you can still get it in your local store, go for the X90J over the X90K, yup better Contrast and Image detail, less Blooming and possibly you can get the Metallic premium remote with it.
But which one will last long. My Sony Bravia tv died after 4 years. And now I want something that will last longer 😟 don’t wanna buy tv every 4 years 😖
Looks like TVs in general has gotten worse in terms of long term use, just last week my 3 year old samsung qled hit the dust. I’m thinking of going LG this time
I have an LG c9 OLED that I bought in 2019 that is doing great, it survived my house fire unlike all my other TV's that melted literally, that tv is built great, it's mounted in my new home right now, plus I bought an updated model as well these TV's are great.
For Europeans, I'd suggest also taking a look at Philips OLED 807 -- and for PC gamers, LG G2 and Philips OLED+907 for their heatsinks (less brightness limiting / burn-in worries with static content).
Philips OLEDs 2022 (all of them) still cut vertical resolution in half, like last years 2021 models. Otherwise 807 it is a fantastic TV, a major improvement over 2021 models and for films I would take it over C2. I returned one and got a S95 65'' (major price cuts) and C2 42'' WBE panel (major discount), paid in total for both around only 2000EUR. Also can say also that DV C2 in Netflix looks noticeably better than HDR10 non plus S95B. Still S95B destroys C2 in games and SDR in terms of looks, it's way more vibrant, not even side by side in dark room. But S95B GUI is clunky, slow and sometimes in comparison to C2 it looks gray instead of black in not dark room. So my cousin bought it off me and I am going to get a G2 65'' or wait for A90K to drop in price to sub 2000EUR.
@@KryssN1 Informative comment! Would just add that the vertical res cutting applies to 4K 120Hz VRR outside of Monitor mode. Not sure if other TVs using Mediatek SoC offer what Philips does with that mode, tho.
@@S3lvah I decided to wait for H1 2023 TVs to get a new main set. As hopefully we may see mainstream models with QD OLED panel from Philips, Sony and Panasonics with DV and finally proper HDMI 2.1. I love QD OLED for games, but DV equals the playing field for movies.
I have a U6H and love it. Had for a little under a year and it's amazing i got it for a budget friendly gaming. I heard TCl is good but in the long run not as good and my Hisense is amazing to this day especially with gaming mode at 60 Hertz.

Put the series X on it and moved the series s downstairs on the monitor and if you can get the 6 series for cheap do it. Amazing tv for the price.
I've had an LG CX for 2.5 years now, and I couldn't agree more with your recommendations. The CX has been amazing. Gaming features out of the box have been excellent, but LG post-purchase support has been next level; they continue to make updates and have even added features that weren't originally shipped. I'm most definitely an LG OLED fan. They make really good products!
Most important features: 1. Input lag 2. Response Time 3. VRR 4. Contrast 5. Color Gamut/Volume. All LG OLED TVs post B9 and the Samsung S95B for its incredible colors for the win.
The LG QNED 50" is an awesome buy for gaming with the a7 chip, 120 hz RR, and hdmi 2.1, great bang for the buck, I caught on Black Friday from Best buy for under $450 which is a steal, I do have a LG C series in my living room which is great but this QNED is maybe a step down but your not missing anything I promise.
I just got the 55" B2 for $999 at Best Buy a few weeks ago and it has the exact same gaming features as the C2 just with 2 less hdmi 2.1 ports. If that's a problem for anyone you can buy 8k hdmi 2.1 splitters for 20 bucks on amazon to add ports which is a lot cheaper than an extra 400 dollars for the C2. I looked at the B2 and C2 side by side in the store and I could barely if even tell the difference.
I went with a Samsung 8K (QN800A, 2021 model) in 2022. Never looked back. 65" of blissful upscaling. Getting my XBOX series X in the next couple of hours. The new XBOX streaming that Samsung offers is a HUGE plus they just introduced. I tried it a few days ago at with the 500mbps Fios, the image is excellent and lag virtually nil. Can't wait for the Unreal Engine 5.1 products through the BOX and the 8K!
The best gaming tv for pc is qn900b. Because of freesync premium pro which gives the ability to have freesync and hdr at the same time. Other tvs don't have it.
Completely agree and I was surprised this was overlooked. It’s a step up from the QN90B and according to most reviewers the best gaming tv on the market. It comes with a premium price tag but is industry leading nevertheless.
@@TheGreatBobby the only way to have freesync and hdr at the same time is to have freesync premium pro. And lg c2 doesn't have that. Freesync premium is not the same as premium pro.
Bought a C2 for my PS5 this past Friday coming from a 720p led TV. I must say this thing is glorious and it gets plenty bright! Will pick up an A80k sometime next year as well. Sony's processor is superb, the picture quality on that TV looked amazing seeing it in person.
I think it's worth mentioning that the 43 and 50 inch qn90b go up to 144hz on pc and work well with gsync. I've used both an LG cx and qn90b and think both are fantastic for gaming
My C2 runs at 120 frames per second and it makes up for the featureless ps5 like being able to Google while I play, but if id known only like 10 games run at 120 frames per second so no don't buy it, however the games that do is absolutely amazing after 120hz you will never want to turn back
If you live in the UK the TCL 65c835k is god tier for the money. 144hz (but more like 120hz), VRR, mini LED, Dolby Atmos/HDR10+ and Freesync premium for just under £1000 from some stores at the moment. Well worth it.
The A80K is usually more expensive than the C2, Google TV on recent Sony TVs is notoriously buggy, the only "advantage" it has over the competition when paired with the PS5 is having Dolby Vision on blu-rays, which is a niche usage at best. So C2 is better choice If money is no object, the A95K should be mentioned for sure over the S95B
@@joseluislopes3956 hard disagree on the a95k being better for gaming. 4 hdmi 2.1 ports for samsung compared to 2 with one earc port for the sony. HUGE deal if you're a "hardcore" gamer. Sorry for using that term
I have C1 that I use for movies, tv, ps5 and pc gaming. I absolutely love it. The picture is amazing and it has VRR and Gsync. I just got a vizio-m surround sound for 300$ based on one of your reviews. It has been absolutely amazing for the price.
Plenty of videos on UA-cam to properly calibrate your OLED. It was a whole new world for me when I got my first LG OLED in 2020 (55in CX bedroom). Now on my 2nd, a 65in C1 (living room). Had to calibrate for SDR, HDR, Dobly Vision/Atmos and on gamer mode for my ps5. It's not that bad once you find the right video to guide you along. But when you do finally get it calibrated for each mode, man it's beyond stunning!
I absolutely love my C2, and your videos were a big help when I was shopping around. Gaming on this thing is an absolute dream, it’s hands down the best TV I’ve ever owned.
I was split on the C2 / S95B, but after seeing them run the same videos side by side (from a usb i took to the store with me), there's no comparison. The S95B made the C2 look like a cheap lcd from 2003, no joke. Dont get me wrong, if you don't have them in the same room, they're both amazing. It's just that the intensity the S95B manages to hit with every color at full blast is insane. I've never seen anything like it, OLED or not. I took home the 65", and I'm happy as can be. It makes both SDR and HDR games a spectacle to behold. Tho, granted, you WILL need to dial down the game mode settings quite a bit. I recommend 45 Brightness, 40ish contrast and no more than 20 Saturation. I also turne the Contrast Enhancer to Low or Off. The presets in the current firmware in Game mode will oversaturate the living hell out of everything, and the intense 1200nit color flashes will grill your eyes xD Oh and setting Judder Reduction to 10 will make 30fps games way smoother. It's really well done.
Interesting the C1 still gets a big shout as right now in the UK they're going cheap again. I read not many were sold globally so still plenty about. I paid £799 for a 55" C1 from richersounds using their pricebeat policy
My C9 still doing the lords work.. The LG C series is absolutely amazing. If anyone reading this comment, is concerned about burn in for gaming...dont be... I use my C9 for litterally everything all day. Mostly work and gaming... and zero burn in issues after 3 years of heavy use.
I think the LG G2 is a little bit better than the C2. The G2 achieves over 1000 to 1200 nits in HDR, the C2 remains at 700 to 800 nits that is the small but subtle difference
Caleb, have heard the Hisense U8H halves resolution at 120hz, and has very bad color banding with games. This gives the TCL a big win by comparison if this is still true. Can you confirm?
Was fixed in the latest update sadly it's just now rolling out which means it could take a weak to get the update for you while I could get it as soon as today basically random.
I've tried to confirm the latest release on multiple youtube channels and nobody can confirm or has replied. So I'm still waiting for proof that gaming on PC won't cause 1/2 resolution to 1440p. I'm hoping someone can prove this soon with video and not just a random reddit post.

i have a 65" LG C1 in the living room and a 55" LG C2 in the bedroom. both are equally great at both gaming and watching TV in general! they made me a huge believer in LG!
Hey can you tell me what is better overall ? I have a 48in C1 but I’m starting to get that itch and want the c2
I have the 65 C! as well I LOVE IT
@ Caleb Digital Trends - You can no longer use a RTX 3000/4000 card with the new Sony TVs.
What about a G3?
What about s95b?
I'm excited for 28" ips 8k 144hz

I have a 65 inch LG C2 and I am lovin’ it! Using it for my PS5,Xbox Series X and Apple TV 4K. It really is the ultimate package.
Should of got the 77 inch, trust me, it makes a difference
@@MC-ie8xlhow much is this tv
@@Lozin80 Samsung QN 90A NEO 2021 TV is great for gaming PS5 and Xbox series x
@Federico the hisense is trash. Horrible ghosting
Where can I buy it?
@@augustjrgensen1933 I bought mine at Best Buy.
@@robinbanks3288 It doesn't have 1600 dimming zones. I’d give a nod to the Sony X90J, best non-OLED option with with 2x HDMI 2.1s, VRR, 120, and HDR.
Got it early this month, and what a jump from 1080P Smart TV I had for the past years. Plus, X90J has headphone jack lol
Agreed, managed to snag a 55 inch for $500 and has been great, best non-OLED TV out there, especially thanks to Sony's updates, VRR without turning off auto dimming.

@@fybali It's low
I bought the Samsung QN900B a couple weeks ago and couldn’t be happier with it.
Only thing I’d definitely recommend, DO NOT have your taskbars constantly up (Being a static image) for long periods of times since you’re playing on a PC.
where is better with mini led lg tv?
I went to Best Buy and the selection was overwhelming but I’m glad after watching several videos over the months that I chose the C2.
how much did you pay for it?
:( Sad.

Just got a 65” LG B2 at Sam’s Club for $500. Never had an OLED before and I am super impressed with it.
Just a tip: if anyone is going to get an 85 inch Samsung qn90b, get the qn85b instead since the 85 inch qn85b has a va panel just like the qn90b, meaning the picture quality is almost just as good, but for $1000 less
I have the LG C1 from 1 year and its absolutely stunning TV. Everytime when I turn it on Im literally blown away
I just got into the market for a new TV and bought the LG C2 55" because of this channel!

Sounds great Joe. Thanks for letting me know. Can I have it?
Yeah, but doesn't have Steam link anymore as of 2022? Was going to order a couple, but now looking elsewhere.

What about the LG G2? I know the C2 is amazing but isn't the G2 newer and brighter with slightly better picture quality?
I think they both came out at the same time as they normally sell the A, B, C and G alongside each other. Just different spec levels. The G2 is a better panel tho and is supposed to be brighter. The G2 is also designed to be wall mounted so doesnt come with a stand unlike the other models
@@chrissyboy7047 very good points, I forgot about the wall mount thing.
@@ultimatedab743 yeah I would imagine needing to buy a pretty beefy stand for it otherwise. Lol

I bought the c1 last year and have no regrets. It's an amazing tv.
I’m thinking of going LG this time
Vizio bro. I've had mine since 2018. Moved thru multiple houses, put it in the trunk for a bunch of lan parties. Thing is still my daily driver.
Really bro Sony Bravia didn't even last 5 years? Only 4 yrs lifespan?
I have an LG c9 OLED that I bought in 2019 that is doing great, it survived my house fire unlike all my other TV's that melted literally, that tv is built great, it's mounted in my new home right now, plus I bought an updated model as well these TV's are great.
Tv's dieing after a few yrs is pretty common now. I like LG, they usually last pretty good.
Switched to a gaming monitor 2 months ago for my ps5... It's the best experience ever
I have had my X90K TV for a while now. I think it's perfect and I have no regret buying it!
Is it 120 hertz and is it better for ps5 or no?
I bought a 43 inch Sony X85k for my ps5 to be able to run at 120fps and I absolutely love it!
Respectfully, I heard that TV was terrible for gaming compared to other TVs picture quality-wise and everything in between
Just got the U7H for $699.99 to pair with my PS5 and 5950X and 3080 ti gaming rig.

I decided to wait for H1 2023 TVs to get a new main set.
I just got a C1 not realizing the C2 existed. Looking at pricing now there’s only a $100 difference between them. Kinda mad I got the older model 😤
sell it on facebook market or offer up. Get the C2
I didn’t even know the C1 still exists in stores? It’s unavailable everywhere i look. Im getting the C2 tomorrow.
@@DoomiePookie got it online at Best Buy
@@unknownsource4359 Might not be worth the cost, I’m sure I won’t get my money back on it
@@AndrewC89 Are you past the 14 day return window from Best Buy? I did the same shit man. I bought the Sony a80j 77" not knowing about the a90j. I want an 83" . Im already selling the a80j
I hand in a LG OLED and a nice monitor in my game room but wanted something for my living room. I picked up the TCL 6 series for $600 on Black Friday…hdmi 2.1 and 120hz for that price was crazy.
Just got the Hisense U8G like 2 weeks ago and man what picture quality that tv has
Using LG EVO Oled C2 42". Best so far! ❤
I agree, have the 65 inch model and am very happy with it.
@@ToolFist598 send me that link
@@RJ_Uploads For the hdmi splitter?
Does anyone know if the LG C2 offers Freesync and HDR at the same time as well?
@@TheGreatBobby the only way to have freesync and hdr at the same time is to have freesync premium pro. And lg c2 doesn't have that. Freesync premium is not the same as premium pro.
Bought a C2 for my PS5 this past Friday coming from a 720p led TV.
I must say this thing is glorious and it gets plenty bright!
Will pick up an A80k sometime next year as well. Sony's processor is superb, the picture quality on that TV looked amazing seeing it in person.
is that support for 120hz?
Is the TCL 5 series same as TCL C635 OR C735? If I'm not mistaken, this is just a different nomenclature based on the region.
Yeah bro, mine is C715 and its the same as the 5 series... bought it in Singapore..same tv but different model numbers..kinda confusing
I also have u6h which is actually good as well. Glad to see them get a mention
What is the point of saving "for every budget" and not showing the prices.
Lol No prices so now i have to watch another video for that great thanks man 🤦♂️
I think it's worth mentioning that the 43 and 50 inch qn90b go up to 144hz on pc and work well with gsync. I've used both an LG cx and qn90b and think both are fantastic for gaming
I agree. It's better but unfortunately as of right now you can get the C2 for $899 vs the Samsung for right under $1000
Love my 77” LG C2 OLED so much
The lg is the best no better options I've tried most on that list and even returned my Samsung oled got a LG c2 and g2
I returned the c2 because it’s atrocious 30fps and mediocre 60fps sample and hold stutter. Good riddance.
I’ve already seen the 55 inch C2 for under £1000 in the Black Friday sales (it was Costco).
How A80/90/95 didn’t make the list being better for PS5 but X90K did is strange considering… they’re better TVs.
The A80K is usually more expensive than the C2, Google TV on recent Sony TVs is notoriously buggy, the only "advantage" it has over the competition when paired with the PS5 is having Dolby Vision on blu-rays, which is a niche usage at best. So C2 is better choice
If money is no object, the A95K should be mentioned for sure over the S95B
@@joseluislopes3956 personally I think games look better on the s95b but the a95k is the better one overall
@@joseluislopes3956 hard disagree on the a95k being better for gaming. 4 hdmi 2.1 ports for samsung compared to 2 with one earc port for the sony. HUGE deal if you're a "hardcore" gamer. Sorry for using that term
Price to performance. This is a gaming oriented video.
@@CozyKG"Hardcore Gamer" meaning, that you own more than 2 devices in your house that can actually make full use of the 2.1? Just asking
Samsung, Sony, Hisense, TCL and LG. East Asians are really dominating the tv market.👍🏼
Does anyone els make tvs?
@@JareBareXP😂😂😂
I have C1 that I use for movies, tv, ps5 and pc gaming. I absolutely love it. The picture is amazing and it has VRR and Gsync. I just got a vizio-m surround sound for 300$ based on one of your reviews. It has been absolutely amazing for the price.
i have the lg 42 c2 , its a good tv , just wish i knew what i was doing while setting up best picture , any gow Ragnarock looks great
Me too. I just bought it but mine doesn’t look nearly as good as other ppls online
The presets in the current firmware in Game mode will oversaturate the living hell out of everything, and the intense 1200nit color flashes will grill your eyes xD
Oh and setting Judder Reduction to 10 will make 30fps games way smoother. It's really well done.
Best part of this video is him saying the tv I have is the best for gaming!! I new it was good just didn’t know HOW good.
Still rocking the 77 inch lg cx. Looks amazing playing ps5. And 4k movies look fantastic.
I think the LG G2 is a little bit better than the C2. The G2 achieves over 1000 to 1200 nits in HDR, the C2 remains at 700 to 800 nits that is the small but subtle difference
I thought the same plus the heatsink
Any reason why the LG C2 was nominated over the LG G2? Isn't G2 just better in every way? (except for higher price ofc)
I agree I got the LG C2 42” perfect size
I’ll probably upgrade my LG in 4-5 years.
I just bought LG G2 55 inch I still wonder is it right choice between s95B and LG G2, both TV's are the same money...
I have the g2 65 inch, amazing tv
LG C1 for me 👍
QN90B is amazing. 43 inch version is perfect for a desk
@@hypno18s that’s good news both issues are getting addressed. Thanks for the update.
I've tried to confirm the latest release on multiple youtube channels and nobody can confirm or has replied. So I'm still waiting for proof that gaming on PC won't cause 1/2 resolution to 1440p. I'm hoping someone can prove this soon with video and not just a random reddit post.
Great list of tv's! I have the 42 inch C2 for my pc and just bought a 77 inch C2 that was discounted nicely for black Friday! Thanks for sharing!!
I have a CX and Samsung QN95A. Not really interested in getting anything else, best of both worlds.
Yup 55in LG CX running both series x and ps5
