Beautiful music, gracefully designed models. Some handsome good and bad guys. Some monsters etc. And scripts that needed a little help. But it was entertaining and it let us escape the real world for a while. Thank you to all the talented people involved. Wished it could have lasted longer than four seasons worth. What fond memories of my childhood from this beautiful television series. I am retired from Pemex (Mexico). And I worked in the operation of the Petrochemical plants, and the plant crews were copied from this series and the Seaview submarine systems. From there I took a love for Science and Technology. Beautiful Aerodynamic design of this Ship. Thanks for sharing. The music track and sound effects are excellent. Greetings from Mexico.
The great music composer Paul Sawtell wrote the classic theme music for the opening and closing credits of the "Voyage To Bottom Of The Sea" TV series. He also probably wrote some of the incidental music heard in the various episodes of that show. Sawtell worked as a music composer at Universal Studios in the mid-to-late 1940's. He composed some of the music for the last horror films Universal Studios made in the mid-to-late 1940's.
Me, too! The theme music must be one of the finest pieces ever created. It not only captures the mood of deep sea exploration perfectly, but it also conveys that essential sense of dread....plus excitement! Wonderful, unforgettable music!
