This was the world's first modular car, as it could literally be anything you wanted it to be. A coupe, a convertible. a station wagon, or a pickup truck with or without a cap!!!!!!
These are cool little cars! Even cooler than the first version from the mid 80's. This one is a museum piece! Ok a quick Google search shows Nissan/Datsun made a Pulsar from 1978 to 2000 and again from 2013 to 2018. I was referring to the US market 1983 to 1986 model. Lots of learning LOVE IT!! Someone is going to have a fun car!! I just wish it was a 5 speed manual!
Hey Bob, this 89 Pulsar is a real time capsule & is in excellent condition!!! You have a real knack for finding clean, low mileage cars!!! Thanks for sharing another exciting video!!! 👍👍🙂
Bought this same one from Nissan of Orange (CA) and had until 2003. Literally changed tires and brakes twice and nothing ever broke. Severely underpowered though.
I own a 1988 Nissan pulsar nx se with only 9,000 miles all original, with the ca18de engine, I also have the sportbak, ski rack, and leather bra brand new in the box!
I bought my son a white manual one of these in Australia, a real fun car to drive, but I had to keep replacing the power steering box with so called 'reconditioned ones' which were no better just another secondhand one, to fit a new one was $5000, so we sold it off, shame!
Another great car, Bob. Back in those times, I had a 1986 Fiero GT but these were often way off my radar and I never really saw any on the road. Thanks for the time capsule, as it surely is, indeed! :) As you alluded in the review of the 535 BMW, contact cleaner sprayed into the volume control can get rid of that scratchiness. I have to do that from time to time on my 1990 535i because I drive only occasionally.
Car is pretty beat up for such low miles, needs to have all the imperfections fixed to actually reflect a low mileage survivor. then needs to be in a museum. really good one to start with.
From that opening shot of this car accelerating down the street I knew it had to be an automatic transmission car...it moved like it was made of lead. Yes, it's a nice looking car but the reason why it is still unmolested is that engine and transmission combo, it's a bit of a slug.
Just because you are saying something good about Sailun tires, I am gonna give it a shot next time. Have always thought it is an awful brand of tires made by the China Communists that is also very good with making nano-scopically sized bad bugs.
SOLD!

This was my first car. Had so much fun with it as a kid. Would love to get behind the wheel of one, one more time. This one is gorgeous.
Pretty sweet. Needs the optional Sportbak to be a real unicorn
I wish I could find one like this.. LOVED this car and got many years!
Love old cars

Thats far too good to be real!
Lol. Amazing isn’t it?
Going tomorrow to get 2 of these. 1 has a sportbak. both are projects but they are so damn cool.
Idk what it sold for but probably not enough. Amazing car
I forgot about these, I was selling them new here in Australia 🇦🇺.

Wow that’s unreal ! Those rotted into the ground all over the world lol
Bob needs more sub's, anyone that likes older European cars with style, hit that sub 👍🏴😀
Thanks!!!
just measure the struts and order the right length.
These were TBI, not carbureted actually

It’s not molested cause it is a one owner lady driven. If it had gone through 5 or 6 owners it would definitely be crap by now.
Not positive, but I’m pretty sure that car is fuel injected.
You are correct.
