This procedure particularly applies to the vehicles listed below but can also be used as a guide for various other vehicles as most car door panels are secured in the same manner.
Tools Used:
- Flat Head Screw Driver
- Phillips Head Screw Driver
- Plastic Pry
- Masking Tape (to prevent scratching)
The techniques shown in this video apply to the following vehicles:

It looks like it is behind the next panel after you removed the main panel. is this correct? any tips would be helpful. Thank you so much!!
If you haven't already, the 2010's are infamous for the weld breaking on the driver's seat rail mechanism. allowing it to break free and cause a dangerous situation where a driver is left hanging onto just the steering wheel. It's a great abdominal workout I'm sure, but a DIY fix would be great. Mazda hasn't shown any regard for safety with a recall (just a TSB that costs owners ~$600), so a fix would be a great episode.

I also have extended coverage on my car, but Selma Auto Mall in Selma Ca wants to charge me $120 to have them look at it to see if it's covered under the extended warranty. Then wants to charge me more money if it's not. Is there anyway you know if this broken inside door handle is in fact covered? Thank you for your time.

I have that same ratcheting screwdriver. It's magnetized to get those pesky screws out of the door handle ;) not as strong as a dedicated magnet but it works!

good video just to clarify. each auto maker has a different.process for removing door panels. they are not all the same. dodge, Ford , chevy, Honda, mazda etc. mercedes . each company has different snaps in different areas. so this may only work on mazdas

I need to get access to the bottom of the window as I lifted it when cleaning and now it rattles I'm guessing that little panel when the card was removed is the access panel have you came across this before and can I fix it from there ?

im looking to replace the blue LEDS in the handles. can that bulb come out at the step of removing the plastic cover of the handle? I see you removed the harness from the bulb assembly in the handle as well as from the back of the door card. Are both of those harnesses just relaying from the frame to the door card then to the handle? Will I be required to take the whole door card off to replace that one bulb? Lol

i need to replace my side mirror on my 2011 mazda 3. do I need to completely remove the panel to gain access to replace the mirror or will the tweeter panel be enough?

Would installing a layer of insulation underneath the panel interfere with the window motors? Thanks!
It shouldn't- because all of the moving pieces are covered by plastic. Most vehicles have the window regulator and moving parts inside of the door, allowing most types of insulation to be installed without interference. Just make sure after installation that you move the window up and down- as well as pull on the door handle to ensure there isn't any hindrance. Thanks for watching!!

I'm trying to access the exterior of the panel (to fix a dent), where is the window glass? if i remove that black part you show at 4:14, can i get to the panel?
Yes you can but there maybe a crash bar in the way of the dent. Still it's worth taking the black panel off to check.

Driver window won't roll down, bought a new window switch and installed. Window still won't roll down. Definitely think it's off its track. Advice?

Remove your door panel and look inside.
When I was attempting to put the door panel back on, a few of the white things that pop into the door to keep it in place came off the door and now I can't figure out how to get them off. Any suggestions?
Matthew Rhodes Not to worry, this has happened to us a few times. Those white clips can be removed with a flat head screw driver then slipped back in their sleeves on the door panel. Let us know if you have issues.
everythingdiy What if the white clips are in the door itself? When I took the door panel off they all stayed in the door. I have replacements so breaking them out isn’t an issue. Should I be able to pry them out with a flat head? I tried players and can’t get them out.

What's the speaker size?
+Mario K. Neira Looks like a 6.5 from what I can tell. But I haven't gotten a chance to replace mine yet.
Sadly Crutchfield and Sonicelectronics both list that speaker as being a 6x8, so now I know that's wrong and with any luck it's a 6.5!
+Joey Medders OEM is 6x8. You can fit a 6.5'' in there with an adapter plate.

The door handle inside to open door is still in tack, but will it open when I pull the handle to open. I'm thinking a spring or something broke off to prevent it from making contact. Not sure 🙁
+shetaz1999 sorry I meant I will not open when trying to pull handle inside of car
+shetaz1999 some cars have a child safety lock to prevent the inside door handle from opening usually on the rear doors, it should be located on the side of the door like a switch with a lock symbol on it, check to make sure that is not locked first, if that's not the case then the handle is probably broken

How do you replace outside driver door handle on a 2010 Mazda cx7? Thank you
Most door handles are accessed from the rear ie. inside of the door. Make sure the window is up so you have access then remove the interior door panel. The handle will have a couple of levers connected to it which will need to be unclipped and then usually 3 or 4 nuts secure the handle in place, they're often quite fiddly to get at. If you're going to undo any electrical connections it is advised to disconnect the battery. Replace in reverse!
