- Another great story that doesn't fully make the film. Al talks about coming back to Chicago to work at Wax Trax! and the rest is history......

Absolutely nothing wrong with that album. It’s great music.
I really don't think Al hates "𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆" as he has been saying for all these years, just watch his concerts and performances during Ministry's synthpop era and you'll realize he truly enjoyed dancing and singing his first album.
He had to say something to explain why he switched genres so drastically.
Yeah I've always thought that. How can anyone believe him, it's clear as day he enjoys and put a lot of work into the songs. He now claims industry producers wrote half the songs on that album and that he didn't even write them at all except for 3 or 4. In live footage, he's talented, dancing and full on into it, no doubt!
He's doing "Cruel World" festival this year which is New Wave, playing this album. 😅
My fav album was their first one
As long as Al is alive, he will constantly be re-writing the Book of Al.
hes such a junkie sleezeball
Dude just can’t keep his story straight. Lmao
I met Al at the front counter at Wax Trax! Way back in the day. I told him.. I want all good industrial music and he just played a shit ton of stuff and I bought it all.
This should be an educational video about the long term effects of lifestyle. I am about the same age as Al, and look 15 years younger.
Are you as fun as Al though?
@@liamdoyle8680 News Flash! Hanging out with a junkie isn't much fun.
Al isn’t your average junkie.
Tell the truck stop speed jurgenson did and whatever he snorted but I guarantee you he doesn't give a s*** what people think about him
Yup, if he would not gone to the land of rape and honey lifestyle, he could have look about like Trent Reznor at age 55 and above. And I believe STILL pull off those hard core albums afterwards til today.
always smiling love Al
Uncle Al, gotta love him! Can't hate this guy!
Lol well
I don't hate him. I just think he's full of shit
Perhaps not his best work, but With Sympathy had a vibe and a place in many of our hearts.
Al is a national treasure. They had to break the mold after him for public/corporate/governmental safety.
I understand Al's negativity towards that album, given the creative pressures involved at that time for him. Most of us will listen to it in completely different circumstances. Personally, I really like it and can see the seeds within for what came later. I certainly would like to see a re-recorded version, in the later, stable, aggressive Ministry style. I think that would be the debut album it could / should have been, to reflect the band we all know!
There was no creative pressure. Watch any live video from that era: he played the songs exactly like they were on the album and appeared to thoroughly enjoy himself. Most of what he says in this video is probably false. Ministry never played LORAH or LORAH-type songs before With Sympathy, with the exception of 'Hezbollah'.
Beautifully put, Uncle Al 🦾
Revisionist History
Al, you've had that same look for over 30 years, evolve already.
Chris Connelly wrote in his book that the band all laughed at him behind his back when he switched from his TWITCH image to his "metal/biker" image.
How did you find the funding Al?
he just had to say he "assualted" someone because he couldn't even think of an interesting more specific way he beat that person in his imagined story.
Yeah. Story sounds fake
@@TheFifthdisCord keep looking up to your washed up hero
uh..... the stuff before With Sympathy WAS NOT like the Land of Rape and Honey. Hahaha, nice try Uncle AL
exactly!!!
Suuure Al. You were still working the Wax Trax counter after your success with LoRaH. Ok...
None of this makes any sense. The way it sounds to me, he is saying he was playing Rape and Honey songs live prior to With Sympathy being released (he is completely leaving out the transition between the two periods which is Twitch). There are live videos on UA-cam of him playing With Sympathy tracks live around that time and appearing to not hate the songs. I think all of this is made up, the way he wanted it to happen not the way it actually did happen.
@@chad017 He might mean ''land of rape and honey shit'' in the sense that it was heavier and more akin to that record, but yeah it seems like he's bullshitting either way
@@chad017 there are videos of Ministry playing around that time (83/84) and dropping in early versions of LORAH tracks (Hizbollah for sure)
@@sanctuaryfestivalpresents5235 Hizbollah is the only song that appears in those shows. There's no proof of them playing any other heavier shit live before releasing Twitch.
@@VuotoPneumaNN very true!
Why can't he just admit that he enjoyed playing the With Sympathy stuff and that he didn't have a gun to his head? I like ministry a lot but man, Al chats complete shit. However, I lean more towards Twitch and WS as my favourite albums. Mind you, LORAH is f'n brutal!
miatttt is my favorite. side 2
Exactly. If he was confident and not so insecure he would have owned those records. Especially in today's world. I think the crowd would go wild if he played a song from With Sympathy or Twitch live. Like Over the Shoulder
@@lalotime He really breathe new life into Twitch. Play them mostly as they were recorded but with some guitars added to thicken out the sound.
@@yetanotheruser1989 Twitch is pretty awesome. I know they did We Believe with more heavy instruments and it sounded cool. They should totally do that more.
Also, you can tell WS was made to increase the bands notoriety since it was a debut. But man he was doing new wave stuff 2 years prior. And dressed in new wave fashion for like 6 years. So they didnt just tell him what to write, but also what he wears every day? lol
@@lalotime We Believe is a brilliant track, and definitely laid the foundation for their next album. It has that heavy sound and the repetitive sequences.
I think Al was heavy into new wave but had other influences and wanted to experiment and go heavier. I think he felt he had to fabricate the story of being forced into doing the more synth style in order to make the new direction seem more legit. However, everyone knows the deal and him fully embracing Ministry's early work would have been great in the long run. Potentially leading to remixes and remasters, and a much broader potential set list.
Al needs to remake with sympathy before he gets too old. 🤘
Have you heard his recent performance of Revenge live??
No, what about it?
LOL it is happening
I'm sure he never beat up anybody in his life.Ok....
He said he took a swing at henry rollins once
@@maxcadey9223 He took a swing at Henry Rollins, because he knew Henry Rollins wouldn't do shit.
@@DeeEight Handling himself in a show on a stage,or real life.
Chicago in the '80s...you pretty much had to know what you're doing.
Do not f*ck with Buck. Cause Buck will f*ck you up! F&ck Buck though!!!
uncle AL and much much more!
Al has inspired so many bands, that you know and love. He is the Godfather of Industrial. She has been there done that and has the T-shirt, Tattoo's and Piercing's etc.. haha. You people who talk smack about him, Lets see you do what he has done. and live! Al has is style. and His own way. That's AL. Love him or leave him. He is Still good in my book. Even though he even talks smack about me. Love ya Big Al! Quote from DJ Demi God Myk World 2015
You cant smell the Video....
The Video:

He jumped over the counter and assaulted someone - and they didn't fire him. Come on Al.................

whats the name of the song playing as al speaks
Jeez - now every punk rapper prefixed with Lil looks like Al 😅
How does he go number 2 with that stuff
HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA
Twitch 2021 !!

Why are there no demos, recordings, or concert footage featuring Al doing "Land Of Rape and Honey shit" if these indeed exist?
With Sympathy is their best album
He could play reggae,he could play sentimental ballads like " Oceanside away"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Assuming "Oceanside Away" is a ballad of course. Not sure that anyone outside of the band has ever heard it.
@@senateguard33 this ballad was more romantic version of "Flashback"
@@senateguard33"Oceanside away" sounded like mixture of Lionel Richie's "Hello" and "Ministry"'s "Flashback"
Is this movie out?
it's been out for over 2 years. industrial accident =wax trax story. it's on google play/its here as well yes . I grew up with this shiz. I used to follow these bands around and it's a good documentary
what's the name of the song
A Girl Doesn’t Get Killed by a Make-Believe Lover Cuz It’s Hot - My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult
not his hair, right?
Just shave it off already!
@@markg0410 what? r u talking about the wig he's wearing?
That wig, is actually Al's pubes. Anybody surprised about that? Didn't think so. After a certain level of coolness pubes and reg hair cannot be distinguished from one another because they both cling to the crotch and yet ride the anus towards , I forgot what the fuck i was tryinf to say...fuck!!!
Unlike Little Richard, I highly doubt that is his own beautiful hair, and surely must be one of the worst wigs ever constructed.
If he was doing Land of Rape and Honey type material back then, then why is the only footage or recordings that exist from that time period post-punk or gothic rock if not flat-out new wave and synthpop? Not that there's anything wrong with that, for me, Ministry was never the same after Twitch.
All the cool guys go to the burning lake when the records over.
This dude is definitely balding
He was in the 80s. He didn't look that bad with a full shaven head during twitch. He would actually look a lot younger
100%, Those Predator braids look ridiculous
Al turn to JESUS for salvation and the forgiveness of your sins. Repent and believe the gospel.
He also builds hot rods. 😅🚔
Amen!!!
I think he looks cool. I want teeth like that. 😎
Next album will be titled ' there's no difference between Biden and trump
What a goof.
With Sympathy is still a great record though
Yeah... look Al, I love you, but you weren't doing Land of Rape and Honey shit in '83-'84. Christ, until you worked with Adrian Sherwood in London in '85, you didn't know shit about running half the console. 'With Sympathy' is what it is. You still became the Godfather of the Chicago Industrial sound. It's ok to admit your mistakes. You more than made up for them.
No, all songs from "With sympathy" is early versions of songs from "Land of rape and honey". And romantic ballad "Oceanside away" is early version of their heaviest song "Death and destruction"

why?
they're not hurting you, have nothing to do with you, and our bodies are our own. we each get one to house our souls while here .. how one chooses to express themselves, body modifications, tattoos/piercings/hairstyle clothing etc. that is their business and I have never understood why anyone feels their opinions should dictate what someone else (÷especially when you dont personally know or have any sort of interaction with) it just sounds lame
@Stephen Anthony and..that is your opinion....nothing more or less
What is that fuckin noise in the background? Don't do that again it was barely possible to focus on what he was saying.
This is absolute bullshit.
Al is a Hardcore Trump man and that's good enough for me
