Because they are free. There is a difference between a $60-70 game and a free mobile game in terms of monetisation
I wonder if, at actual public launch, they’ll delete all game progress for folks who have had this since soft launch?

There are A LOT of balancing issues. There is a support character that is just as powerful as damage characters. You have a damage character that can 2 shot kill 95% of the characters with a very quick fire rate for only needing 2 shots. Way to many characters have a stun. None of the damage characters should have a slow/stun ability.
Definitely concerned about just how monetized certain aspects of the game are. I'm a big SW Galaxy of Heroes player and that game is true to the mobile game norm of a ton of PTW transactions. Curious to see how they handle that aspect with this game
Luckily so far it's pretty solid in terms of monetization, the only thing you can currently pay money for is cosmetics (skins, avatars and emotes etc. plus the Arena Pass) but yeah I'm always a bit nervous when it comes to mobile focused games hahah I'm hoping because it's on the Switch too, they won't let them get away with P2W stuff 🙏
@@SammyBoiiiSW they should add the old mine ability for Zaina since she is rarely making any good damage on her own like come-on, replace the new third passive trash ass ability that does nothing sinve they force us to use her second roll now!!
People playing controller versus touch screen is your concern? People using emulators and mouse and keyboard have a huge advantage in these types of games
Is your account linked between mobile and switch?
It sure is, it's full crossplay/cross-progression. You make a Zynga account when you sign up for the game which is just an email address, and then you can log into that account regardless what platform you're on!
In battlefront you don't pay to buy characters wdym?

Honestly I don't mind if you can buy heroes faster. I'm more bothered about the fact that you have to unlock upgrades for the heroes. As a new player you're already disadvantaged but on top of that everyone else in the lobby will probably have a bunch of upgrades. That doesn't sound like a fun experience.
A maxed out Hunter will have maybe a 10% damage boost on a single ability, compared to a brand new account. The upgrades aren't something you need to worry about, no one will be OP because they're max level or anything like that!
Hopefully are our concerns are gone after release !
I sure hope so man! They're very minor at the end of the day though, I'm sure you know just as well as I do how awesome the gameplay loop of this game is after how many hours we've both played! 😂
Seeing the success of Marvel Rival's really makes me think of the wasted opportunity here...
I get it that these companies need to make money but look at Fortnite. You can't pay for an advantage and that game is as popular as ever. Who cares that you can pay to unlock heroes early. It took me a week to unlock every hero. I'm good with most of them but prefer playing 3 of them. Since levels give you buffs I have to draw the line there.
Stacked games are trash, grozz is....horrible, sentinel is too good, skora does too much damage and ult charges too fast for what it is, perks should not be locked behind leveling, heroes without movement speed/slow are overall worse because they cant capture as well which also makes skora overpowered.Sentinel can literally do it all. Knockdown and kill, knock any melee away through block with such a short CD, shield, anyone spamming him knows hes op and he needs cooldown nerfs more than anything.
