Tauhu telur which is literally translated as tofu egg is a famous Indonesian favourite dish. As the name suggests, this dish is made by a mixture of egg and tofu deep fried together. Along with some vegetables such as beansprouts, the tauhu telur is made flavourful with a sweet and nutty sauce made primarily with Indonesian sweet soy sauce and peanut butter.

I remember first time coming to Singapore work as maid 18 years ago I was in deep trouble for not knowing how speak English and how to cook . I keep get scolded non stop and Almost give up and wanted to return home . But my employer mother in-law telling me ur madam will never change for you so u must change urself and find away how to improve ur relationship with ur boss . I start learn basic English from reading newspapers and looking for book receipe but most All time failed cos of ingredients to complicated and taste my employer don’t really like. After I found ur Chanel i get exited to try start from chicken wing , sate , sate sauce , laksa , fried rice , crispy beancurd prawn, prawn 🍤, fried rice , Tahu goreng And my employer said taste so delicious. And finally my relationship with my employer improved . And now they are satisfied with my cooking . Thanks you so much sir.

Most importantly you did not give up . once you learn and figure out how its made . i cooked for my family at 11. I just followed my mom around and wrote the recipes in my book. Marinating makes food tastier. Then methods : quick stir fry. Deep fry. Steam. Or boil then simmer. Now you can google anything n magical instructions and recipes available in seconds
I knew a cook who joked. Use Soy sauce for Asian. . Wine for french. Ketchup for American my favorite sauce is basil, garlic and coconut milk... Goes well with my own version of Thai- Indonesian dishes including pasta. Give it a try. And keep it your secret lol. Have fun.

I missed this dish from Hjh Maimunah. Never been to Sanur. Maybe because my family likes to go Hjh Maimunah and that’s where I fell in love to this dish. Since MCO, this dish had been in my mind and I saw Umi Saadah making this a few days ago! And I said to myself, i need this! And I found your channel. Thank you for sharing.

I used store bought rojak sauce (any brand) and added extra crushed peanuts. Then added the egg coated tofu pieces, blanched bean sprouts, cucumber/cabbage slices, fried garlic chips and daun sup. A souped up tahu goreng.

Good morning! You’re early 😋 We love Sanur too! Tell you a secret, I used to work there as a waitress when I was a student waiting for O level results. But I only managed to work for 2 days cos it was too tiring 🤣🤣 I lost 3kg with only 2 days of work! 😰 Hope you like our recipe but of cos, nothing beats Sanur. 🤓 ~ Jamie

Hahaha...3kg in 2 days, huh? I should work there then!!! But unfortunately, they have closed down. Or did they move to another spot? Any idea where they've gone to? If ever you're in JB, do give me a visit or maybe you & Roland can cook for me / hold a cooking class for me at my house???!! Would be so COOL!!!!
