Yes they are landlocked but that's actually a Atlantic salmon because it has a square tail landlocked salmon have a v shape tail

And they're disappearing due to the alewives, these new baitfish are definitely not producing bigger numbers. Lake trout, yes. Salmon fishing is going to be a thing of the past before long. Atlantic Landlocked Salmon are one of 3 salmon species that become sterile on a diet of alewives, and the smelt are gone also due to the alewives. This lake has changed beyond words can describe in a very short time. Used to be world class salmon fishing in the lake and any tributary you wanna pick.
