      why does nobody mention it? am I the only one? the image on the narmer palette is a constellation, "osiris", orion, but fairly extended! all of it is there, the "enemy" and even the "ba". the whole image is there, just look up, it's right now in the sky over europe. it's large, the club is in gemini and the "enemy" in hare and eridanus, "ba" in taurus.

      What i believe happened is something that i saw on another youtube video of a stone calendar in the Sahara and there was what looks like a giant carved mushroom head that had been cracked but the smoothness of the carving and its reason for being so far out in the middle of the desert means it had to have been carved when the Sahara was lush. Then the rains stop so people head east on mass towards the Nile, this is shown by the kilns of upper and lower Egypt and how more complex a society upper Egypt was in the wares it produced, lower Egypt i am guessing is the really ancient city and upper Egypt was created when the refugees of the Sahara accumulated there. Kind of like how the US and Australian countries are more modern looking than the European countries the people came from. I believe the stone carving came from these people who came in from the Sahara, they already displayed for centuries before they where united that they where advanced technologically and there is no explanation as to whom carved the giant mushroom head in the middle of nowhere but it was upper Egypt that began carving stone first.

      @Fjord Vilkensen supposedly the pyramids where covered in white limestone and where full of carvings, Egyptian hieroglyphs. There was a huge earthquake around the 1100s i think that loosened some of the limestone that allowed them to be prised open until then they had been sealed for thousands of years, the limestone was stripped from the outer pyramids and is what Egypt has been built out of. So yes the pyramids could be much older but there was a serious building project around 2500bc, but the Sphinx has to be much older because of the weathering, there are temples that are right in front of the Sphinx that where supposedly built at the same time the Sphinx was carved yet they have no weathering. If you look at the Sphinx and then look at this statue of the Sphinx that has been down a well for god knows how long you see how long the arms are on the Sphinx in the well statue then look at the proportion the the Sphinx in Egypt today. Egypt has not had the rainfall the weather the Sphinx in 2000 years so it cant be a replica of the original Sphinx from that time. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-45546415

    So according to the dates all those pyramids were built not only in under 500 years, most of them were overlapping and yet we dont know why or how they were built, the Egyptians left no clues to either question. More likely they were being rebuilt after the Egyptians moved to the area after some kind of cataclysm say like mass flooding from the end of the ice age bc this was known as the most populous or prosperous or technologically advanced area of the time.

    thank you, i had been to Egypt as a kid in 2000, and i have been reading up on Dune lore in anticipation of the Dune movie coming out in 2020.. Allegedly the God Emperor Leto II was "descended from a monarch, possibly an Egyptian or a Mesopotamian who ruled his people harshly but wisely and facilitated their survival for roughly 3,000 years.. His people would ebb and flow with the patterns of their natural environment, among other things.." Harum is his name in the book, but I Think it is rather obvious, the Scorpion King would be an Obvious choice. Even if the Scorpion King (like Ragnar Lothbrok) is more a composite of several people, combined with some myth, the First individual the "composite" that is the "Scorpion King" would be the individual specified in Dune and known as "Harum" in the book.

    Yeah kind of reminds me of rock the Dwayne Johnson who played the role of pharoah scorpion King in the movie scorpion King. And in one part it is shown that scorpion King is captured by the Indo-European s of the steppes in Afghanistan or Central Asia where he is taken captive and the indo European out of arrogance and ego says that we have killed everyone but I have never killed an Akkadian which means that Akkad is in Mesopotamia.

    The legendary scorpion king has an unfortunate tie-in to the Divine Comedy. It means the devil! Described in the bible as a dragon. The Oxford history of ancient Egypt states there is a mace head of king Scorpion. This means Ka is the scorpion king and Ivi-hor is his father.

    The Sphinx shows erosion far older than 5000 yrs, contemporary scientist attribute it to Khafra, but it's believed to be wrong, the explorer was lazy and just wanted to give it some credence, according to Ancient Aliens, this is far older and possibly has a twin

      @trader2137 3 роки тому +2

      what? hahahha, please, its not a place to tell fairy tales "aliens" gahahaha, and no, the sphinx erosion was NEVER proven to be older than 5000 years old,
      we base on REAL PROVEN FACTS, not some theoritical crap taken out of context - there was no civilization there in egypt, and sphinxes are a part of egyptian culture,
      so please learn to connect the dots

    Some of the most often quoted historians from the time of the ancient Egyptians about what race the people were are Strabo, (born c. 64 bce, Amaseia, Pontus-died after 21 ce), Greek geographer and historian, Diodorus Siculus Diodorus Siculus (fl. 1st century BC) or Diodorus of Sicily a Greek historian, and Herodotus (born in Halicarnassus in the Persian Empire (modern-day Bodrum, Turkey) and lived in the fifth century BC (c. 484-c. 425 BC), "The Father of History"). In his Histories, Herodotus states in several passages that the Egyptians were black. According to most translations, Herodotus says that a Greek oracle was known to be from Egypt because she was "black", that the natives of the Nile region are "black with heat", and that Egyptians were "black-skinned with woolly hair". Lucian of Samosata (125 AD - after 180 AD) observes an Egyptian boy and notices that he is not merely black, but has thick lips. Diodorus Siculus mentioned that the Aethiopians (read sub-Saharan Africa) considered the Egyptians a colony. Apollodorus of Damascus (a Syrian-Greek engineer, architect, designer and sculptor from Damascus, Roman Syria, who flourished during the 2nd century AD), calls Egypt the country of the black-footed ones (or “Aethiopians”). Aeschylus (c. 525/524 - c. 456/455 BC), a Greek poet, wrote that Egyptian seamen had "black limbs." Greeks sometimes referred to Egyptians as Aethiopians - not to be confused with inhabitants of the modern-day nation of Ethiopia who was instead referred to as Abyssinians or Habesha and their land as Abyssinia. Sir Gaston Camille Charles Maspero KCMG was a French Egyptologist (June 23, 1846 - June 30, 1916) states that "by the almost unanimous testimony of ancient [Greek] historians, they [ancient Egyptians] belonged to the African race, which settled in Ethiopia".

    In the movie El Mariachi, the protagonist wears the scorpion symbol. It was taken directly from the hieroglyph. It was also featured in The Mummy (Mum-Ra), and The Scorpion King. In the second installment of the El Mariachi series, the bartend gives us his name. That name being El, of which is explained that name means "The". Interestingly, El is also the word meaning God in Hebrew.

    nice work. I think you left out a significant part of the story. When the Sahara started to form you had movements of people from the west of Africa and south of the Nile towards Egypt. Their population would have contributed much to the Nile civilization. The papyrus of Henufer states 'We came from the beginning of the Nile where God-Hapi dwells, at the foothills of the mountain of the Moon.' This is around Uganda. Although not to downplay the presence of the Arabs in Egypt during the Predynastic era , as your video states there influence would be considerably less when Menes would take the reigns. I might even say that much of the war that had taken place would be between those dwindling arab forces and Narmers troops.

      Sahara was more savanna rather being totally green but you should look up milankovitch cycles that tries to explain the chances in weather like during last ice age maximum 20-25 thousand years ago. The Sahara desert was bigger then today but approx :12-6 thousand years ago it was more humid and smaller. Now it is on dry cycle.
